Chapter 13 - Lunch Together

Mio and I sat waiting for Mio's mother to change clothes. Due to our little fight, the uniform that Mother Mio wore became messy and full of small incisions.

“Lily-sama, please enjoy this warm tea” Mio said.

The table that was empty now turned into a small dining table containing lunch dishes. Usually, this table is used to discuss quests and strategy tactics by adventurer groups. But, as lunch hour goes on. This table was used by the Adventurer Guild staff for their lunch spot.

“Um, Mio. sorry for the previous incident” because of my unpleasant feelings after damaging Mother Mio's uniform. I apologize to Mio. My attitude towards Mio's mother might be a little exaggerated by ruining her work uniform.

“Uhm??” Mio just looked at me and was astonished.

“Oh! That match? That was so amazing, Lily-sama!” praise Mio.

Why would Mio praise me?

Me, Mio, and Mio's mother immediately enjoyed our lunch. This food is simple but this different atmosphere makes me realize something, eating with someone feels better than being alone. Usually, I only eat after my family has finished occupying the dining room.

Eating with them was very difficult for me, especially with my father's cold treatment of me. Compared to eating with them, eating with the Mio family like this made me see a new window of the world. Feel warm and comfortable when eating with a special person.

“It seems.. This view is not bad either.”

“Did you hear that? Our Old Devil handed over his Daughter to the Knight of choice!”

The group of adventurers around us observed our lunch, being the center of attention was very embarrassing for me. I'm not used to this kind of look.

“Hey!! What did you guys say?” Mio's mother looked at them with a cold gaze.

“Now we can enjoy lunch without interruption.”

We continued our lunch quietly. After the main course had run out and there was a small snack left, Mother Mio started the topic of conversation regarding the sword technique I used.

“Lily-sama, if you may know, where did Lily-sama learn such a technique from?” ask Mio's mother.

This question is very similar to Mio's question.

“A-I just observed Mio while practicing” reply me in a small tone.

“Just observe Mio but can master her, isn't Lily-sama very genius at this?” praise Mio's Mother.

Actually, it was because of the Yurification System and our excellent relationship. I'm not a genius at that.

“Could Lily-sama come to the Adventurer Guild to become an adventurer?”

“Uhuk!!” Mio who was sitting next to me was choking after hearing this question.

“Lily-sama!!” Mio was very panicked and looked at me.

I shake my head, shouldn't Mio know that I'm just following her?

“I want to find something for my sisters” reply me.

“Hmm.. gift for Alice-sama and Alyssa-sama?” ask Mio's mother.

“Em!” Mio's mother seems very sensitive to my situation.

“So, this is the reason why Lily-sama is here while Marquess Rommel's family is at the Temple Altar following the religious ceremony?” mumble little Mother Mio.

“More or less I understand the situation, Lily-sama. What kind of gift is Lily-sama looking for? Maybe I can help” Mother Mio offers help to me.

“I want to buy magic book” replied me.

“Magic book? It was so easy to find him. There are quite a few adventurers selling magic books here, maybe Lily-sama would have trouble choosing a magic book instead of looking for it. If Lily-sama is in trouble, I can help choose some magic books that are suitable for Alice-sama and Alyssa-sama.”

“Em, please help me!” I immediately handed over the money I brought to Mio's mother.

The bag of money I was carrying sounded very heavy and attracted the attention of adventurers around me.

“If only Lily-sama is an ordinary noble girl, I would suggest to be careful when carrying this much money. But, because Lily-sama can defeat me. I guess. nothing to worry about.”

“Mio, get all this done! And Lily-sama.” Mio's mother extended her hand to me.

I immediately grabbed the helping hand and Mother Mio led me into the Adventurer Guild building.

Amidst this small journey, I realized the difference between adventurers and adventurers. The Adventurer Guild divided adventurers into different classes such as SSS class for upper level adventurers and became royal heroes, SS class for the main force of the royal military, S class to overcome high level dangerous monsters, and, class A is for veteran adventurers, class B is for advanced adventurers, and Class C is for G-Class is divided based on their contributions and abilities. All of that was seen in their weaponry and armor equipment.

Mio's mother took me to a trading area run by the Adventurer Guild. There was one shop where the place was filled with books piled up and the Elf girl who stood reading books among the pile of books.

“Good day, Lisa. Do you have any free time?” ask Mio's mother.

The Elf girl closed the book in her hand and looked at the two of us.

“Eh? Helena? Since when do you have another child?”

“He is not my son but the First Princess of the Marquess Rommel family, Lily-sama.”

The Elf girl panicked a little when she heard that.

“S-Welcome to my little shop, Lily-sama. Sorry if a mess like this” realized my status from among the upper nobles, the Elf girl changed her attitude to be more formal in front of me.

Is that my father's noble status?

Forget it, I should focus on finding a magic book suitable for Alice and Alyssa among this messy pile of books.
