Chapter 3 - The Outdated Magic Book

“Onee-sama, what is this?”

“Lily-nee, this what?”

Inside my room, Alice and Alyssa looked astonished by the old book I gave them.

“It was a magic book that studied elemental magic and contract spirit” I replied.

“O-Oooh.”

“U-Uuh..”

Alice and Alyssa's facial expressions looked gloomy.

Did I buy the wrong magic book?

“Um.. did I buy the wrong magic book?” ask me.

“B-It's not like that Onee-sama, it's just..” said Alice.

“I guess the magic book has a beautiful book cover as shown by Saintess”.

Ah, so it looks like! They looked at the magic book that Saintess owned and were interested in searching for the magic book because of the attractive look of the book cover in their eyes.

A child is like this.

Why are you always interested in such little things?

I've heard this before, kids are very interested in something they like. The magic book may look outdated but the content in it is a knowledge of the past that is almost lost in the present. The existence of a spirit that was still a great secret of mankind was answered in the book.

Uh! why didn't I show them the magic book's prowess?

If they are interested in the book cover. Perhaps, I could change their gaze after seeing the prowess of that magic book. Information is power, the power of information in a book lies in the writing in it. Not from the cover!

“Alice.. Alyssa. I thought you guys were looking for a magic book to learn magic.”

“It turns out, I mistook?” I slightly teased them with my moody expression.

“T-Not like that, Onee-sama.” Alice looked panicked after seeing my moody expression.

“U-Um-fr.. Lily-nee.. how do I read this magic book?” unlike Alice who tried to make me cheerful again, Alyssa opened the book sheet in her hand.

“Magic books about elemental magic? It was no ordinary magic book because the one who wrote the book was one of the seven great heroes who lived in the past. If not mistaken, the book wrote down magic elemental formulas divided into 1,200 types. All the knowledge of the great hero is contained in it. This is a big deal because I only got one of the seven books that the hero has written. Oho! Almost forgotten, the book was written in German. If Alyssa is interested, I will help you learn it.”

“Uwaaaaahhh!! Really Lily-nee?!” alyssa's eyes glowed after hearing my words.

“Then..please help me read the cover of this book, Lily-nee Alyssa sat down beside me and showed me the book cover in her hand.

“Em.. This paper has the meaning of Modern Science in the La-“ World

“Onee-saaamaa.. W-Can I study this book? I-I guess I'm interested in learning it” right next to me, Alice pulled the uniform I was wearing. With a red hue on her face and the feeling of being left behind by her sister, Alice tried to get my attention in the same way that Alyssa did.

“The book.. Um! A good choice Alice. It was a magic book containing spirit contracts written by Demon Emperor!”

“D-Demon Emperor?” hearing my words, Alice fell silent in astonishment.

“Demon Emperor is amazing. In the recorded history of our kingdom, he is a Demon Emperor who is able to withstand the invasion of giant monsters single-handedly!”

“D-Demon house.. Uhh.. their form is very scary.” Alice grumbled a little.

I understand that feeling. The demon I had seen had a sinister and disgusting physique. But, I once met a Demon race that had a human physical body. His body size looked quite normal to be said to be human yet the horns, wings, and tail that were the hallmarks of the Demon race were attached to his human body.

“Fufu~ Alice. don't look down on the spirit contract written by the Demon Emperor. Watch this.. Nimi can you come here?” with my calm speech, a greenish-colored aura was created in the air. Slowly, the green-colored aura enlarged and formed the human body.

“Lily Onee-chan!!” after that greenish aura formed the human body. Nimi who had just moved into my room immediately embraced my body.

“How is Helena-san? Is she okay?” ask me.

“Mama is fine, Ah! when do Lily Onee-chan and Onee-chan come home?” seeing the sudden appearance of Nimi, Alice and Alyssa fell silent while observing Nimi's body behind my body.

The aura around Nimi's body emitted a greenish glow, it was a special sign regarding the spirit figure condensing her body. Spirit power can be measured from the shape of his physical body, the stronger the spirit figure, the more perfect the shape of his body. Nimi's body shape is still a small child and requires great strength to make a mature body figure. The existence of spirits is quite difficult to call, only certain contacts can call them. Since Nimi and I are quite familiar, I can call Nimi to come visit me.

“Where's Onee-chan?” ask Nimi.

“Oh, Mio is making snacks for kita” reply me.

Nimi observed my two half-brothers hiding behind my body.

“Ah.. um. sorry for my previous sassness. My name is Nimi. Nice to meet you guys.” Nimi told my two half-sisters.

Alice and Alyssa who were tightly holding onto my uniform, slowly took it off. They were very surprised by the arrival of Nimi who appeared suddenly in front of them.

“Lily-sama, the snacks this time are very special than usual because.. Ehh.. Nimi?” when Mio entered my room, she was very surprised to see the presence of her sweet sister.

“Oneee-chaaan!!” Nimi flew to hug Mio.

“Niiimiii!!” Mio hugged Nimi tightly.

It seemed, my room space had become more noisy than usual.

“Well, that's how to call spirit, Alice” I close this conversation.

“I-That spirit..” Alice's eyes are on Nimi. Although they had met before, it seems that Alice does not remember Nimi's presence when she picked me up at Mio's house.

“Umm.. are you interested in learning it?” ask Alice.

Alice looked at the magic book containing the spirit contract, although the form of the book was very simple and looked outdated. However, the faint smile created on Alice's face had depicted her heart.

The second fish managed to catch it perfectly!

“Onee-same.. B-Can Alice trouble Onee-sama by studying this book?” ask Alice in a small tone.

“Of course, why should I reject it?” answer me.

“Thank you, Onee-sama.” Alice hugged my arm tightly and pulled it. A small kiss from her lips hit my lips. When Alice took off her soft kiss, I could see the tears from her eyelids and the beautiful smile that adorned her face.

Alyssa's hand suddenly grabbed my face and pulled my face to her. Just like Alice did, Alyssa kissed my lips gently. I felt two loves complementing each other. Sometimes, having a special relationship and accepting each other makes me feel happy.

“Thank you too, Lily-nee.” whispered Alyssa after kissing my lips.

Ahhh. My two half-brothers are so cute.

That smile..

For some reason, I want to keep the beauty of that happy smile.

If someone had snatched those two beautiful smiles from me, then I would...

[Eye! stop here Lily-chan! That's so creepy!]

Umm. well Goddess. I will count on you when that day comes.
