Chapter 7 - The Morning Riots

As Mio and I approached the source of the sound, a man with a large body was seen slamming a table full of food and drink.

Looking at the appearance of the man who looked like he was drunk and shabby, I slightly kept my distance from a distance to avoid trouble.

A fairly large sword was seen beside his hand. Judging from its size, the sword looked extremely heavy.

What is a Claymore-shaped sword?

But, why did he raise that sizable sword and point it at the girl in front of him?

Looking at the large sword that was preparing to be swung, Mio suddenly ran over and fended off the swing of the large sword.

*ting!

*bang!

The swing of the great sword hit the ground, if Mio did not fend it off then the sword would hit the innocent girl.

Hearing the sound of the two sword swings, some thin dust started to scatter and cover the visibility.

The people around also panicked when they saw the sudden fight. Mio and the man made enough distance to continue the fight,

“You okay?” mio said to the girl who was almost a victim.

My nose suddenly smelled a very pungent scent.

Uh! Like it seems. The man was drunk. It will be a futile fight because only violence can stop it.

“Mio.. he's drunk!” I said in a loud voice and slightly closed my nose using a handkerchief. The smell was so bad and I didn't like it.

Hearing my voice, Mio put on a posture that was preparing to continue the fight.

“Drunk in the morning? This will be a pretty good workout!” Mio smiled.

This is the first time I've seen Mio smile like this. Mio was like enjoying this sudden fight.

I remember, if not mistaken Mio did like to practice learning sword arts.

So.. Mio's ability is quite reliable, isn't it?

They fought back, the man drew his sword randomly but Mio managed to dodge it. The small slash launched by Mio made the man groan in pain.

The slash was very small but it injured the wrist that was holding the sword, it must have been very painful and painful.

If only this was not a fight between a drunk and a woman with knowledge of using sword arts, it would be another story.

You could say, this is a tough fight. The small slash that Mio was wielding made the man slowly in pain and lost control over the swing of his sword. The little blood that came out and soaked his wrist made the man's hand movements weaken. I could see his hand that started to tremble while holding the sword.

Why do drunk people always make other people bother anyway?

From a distance, I heard the sound of footsteps of approaching horses. It seemed like the royal warriors who were around were starting to approach. Mio who heard it also wanted to end this futile fight.

With an agile movement, Mio dashed away from the attack and gave the final strike a powerful punch using the sword hilt to the head.

*btak!

Uh. The punch sounded pretty loud.

Is that guy's head okay?

The man fell to the ground but got back up.

Is that true? He didn't lose to such a hard blow?

Once again, the man got up and threw his sword in all directions. Seeing his slash that was like a child's play, Mio fended it off and went back to counterattacking.

One. two. and three counter-slashes that Mio threw made the sword that the man was holding was thrown.

“Renlighten to!” mio said with a threatening tone.

“Stop your fights!”

From behind me came the sound of a female soldier descending from her horse.

From her voice, it seems that I know this female warrior.

The man fell back to the ground and fainted, it seemed like this little fight was won by Mio.

“What happened here?” the female soldier approached Mio.

Looking at his hand that was getting ready to pull out the sword, I rushed over to Mio.

I stood in front of Mio and turned my back to the female warrior, “Good work, Mio.”

“Ah! Long time no see, Hilda-sensei!” I greeted this female warrior and revealed my face covered in white robes.

“Lily-sama!!” noticing my presence, Hilda-sensei saluted me. Several other soldiers who came with Hilda-sensei also saluted me.

“Ah! Please raise your head, this is not the right time for that and it seems like he needs help” I pointed to the man who was defeated by Mio.

Hilda-sensei gave a hand code to her subordinates to take care of the male body and looked back at me. Apparently, he wanted to know what had happened here.

“Actually, what has happened Lily-sama?” ask Hilda-sensei.

“Only small events. The man slammed the table containing food and drink then tried to swing his sword at the girl.” I pointed to the girl who almost became a victim.

“And.a small fight in the morning can not be avoided anymore. As seen, Mio is just trying to save the girl”.

“It looks like he's in a drunken state. Ughhhh! It smells bad!” I slightly closed my nose again with a handkerchief.

“So it seems. You guys please take this man to the holding room” Hilda-sensei's orders.

Eh? This easy?

Did Hilda-sensei just believe my words?

“And also.” Hilda-sensei's gaze now observed Mio.

“He is Mio, maybe Hilda-sensei will be a little surprised when she sees him wearing ordinary clothes. Mio is a personal Maid of ku”.

“Oh! That maid. I didn't recognize you. If only Lily-sama had not been here, I would have already put herself in the holding room.”

Yeah, that might be true. If only I wasn't here, maybe Mio would be stuck with that guy. Sometimes, I forget that I am a noble who has great influence.

“Lily-sama, if it is not wrong Marquess Rommel is attending a religious ceremony at the temple. But, why can Lily-sama be here?”

Religious ceremony? It's just right that all the horse carriages go missing.

“I went to buy a sword.”

Hearing my answer, Hilda-sensei was a little surprised then smiled and laughed.

“Hahaha.. Lily-sama can joke too apparently.”

“I'm not kidding, this happened because the day before I was attacked by a pack of wolves.”

“Heh?” hearing my flat answer, Hilda-sensei came back shocked.

Now, he started looking at Mio.

Mio who understood the flow of this conversation nodded and Hilda-sensei's expression turned pale.

It seems like the tragedy I experienced had something to do with Hilda-sensei.

“L-Lily-sama, is the wolf black?” ask Hilda-sensei.

“Ya.”

Hearing my answer, Hilda-sensei knelt before me.

“Excuse us, Lily-sama! Because of our negligence in hunting down monsters and accidentally letting them escape. Lily-sama until meeting them.”

“It's okay, Hilda-sensei. No one was injured in the incident.”

“Really? Thankfully though. Did Marquess Rommel send his personal army to hunt down those monsters?”

“No.”

“Eh? Then..why did Lily-sama find out that the monster was a black wolf?”

“Because at that time, I was walking around in the garden and accidentally went into the forest then met them” I smiled a little to reduce the tension of Hilda-sensei.

But. it seems. This response is very bad.

Hilda-sensei looked back at Mio.

“That's right, when we heard the howling of the black wolf. I was reminded of Lily-sama who was taking a walk around the house. Since my feelings are a little unpleasant then I went to look for Lily-sama. Coincidentally, I met some knights who seemed to hear the same wolf howl. Until we finally entered the forest and found Lily-sama standing among the pile of black wolf corpses” Mio explained it in detail.

“K-We are really sorry, Lily-sama!!” once again Hilda-sensei knelt down in front of me.

Yet.. Hilda-sensei slightly lowered her body so it looked like she was prostrating in front of me.

I guess..

It will be a pretty long morning trip to buy a sword.
