Destiny Love Kinan (FINISHED)

Destiny Love Kinan (FINISHED)
044: Jesus, Selina?

"What are you sayin, Babe? I don't want us to end our relationship!"

A blonde-haired girl with white skin who makes her look like a Native American. Selina Angelin, of Indonesian-American descent, her parents settled in LA, therefore her life was more likely to follow a Western style than a Malay style.

"Sorry, Cell. But I really can't." Dude slowly releases Selin's hand. "I have to go back to Indonesia, things are chaotic there, I can't focus on this relationship."

Selin looked into Dude's eyes, but the man turned away quickly. Selin shook his head, he already put his heart on the Dude, even though their relationship began only as a college friend.

"There's no need to break up, right? We can have long distance relationship, I can also come with you to Indonesia?"

We don't have to break up, do we? we can have a long distance relationship, can I also be with you to Indonesia?

"No. This is complicated, please, I beg you to understand, Cell."

Selina stared out the plane window. He sighed and closed his eyes slowly. "I'm coming, but why did you marry another woman, De."

Kinan slid his face onto his desk. Last night's question about Selina was still a mystery, because the Dude didn't want to answer.

Not that I don't want to talk about him. But, what if it is discussed that even makes the relationship we just built so stretched?

Why did it stretch?

Yeah, because I don't know what you'll react to, if I tell you about him. Even though it's just the past, Ki. I hope it doesn't bother you, and don't think I'll still carry her name in my household.

Kinan knew what her husband said was true. The past remains the past, only stories, which can be remembered, cannot be forgotten. Then what if Selina will be present again in the life of the Dude when she fully belongs to the Dude.

"Istighfar Kinan, don't think about things that aren't necessarily happening!" his jolt quickly forgot all the negative thoughts lodged in his brain.

"Suster Kinan, excuse me, outside someone's waiting for Sister Kinan."

"Who, Na?" Nara is her co-worker, Kinan is busy thinking about Selina to the point of not being aware of Nara's presence.

"Hm, she's that, Diana, Sister."

Nara approached Kinan, then whispered. "Diana is so different now, Sister. I didn't know him at the beginning, just as he called my name."

Kinan was startled, but he was more confused as to why Diana had come to see him again after the last time Kinan refused to see Hamzah the way her friend wanted her to. "Yes, I met you first, yeah."

Nara nodded. "But, sister be careful. He's not like a good guy, huh. Just plain words ...."

"St! You can't do that, Nara." Kinan. "I'm out first."

Kinan opened the door and was immediately startled by the sight of a woman with a long hijab she was wearing. He wears a black robe with a long veil covering his chest.

"Assalamu'alaikum, Kinan."

"Vaa-waalaikumsalaam. Diana?"

"Yes, Ki. It's me, Diana. You how are you?"

Kinan's eyes were still round, but he lowered his head for a while then raised his face again, this time with a faint smile. "Good, Diana. You make me not know you. But, I see you wear a veil."

Diana smiled. "Yes, Ki. Just started, just learned. Do you have a minute? It's lunchtime, can we talk? At the front cafe, shall you?"

There was no reason for Kinan to reject Diana's invitation. According to him, the look on Diana's face this time was much different from the look on Diana's face that met him some time ago. Even so, still Kinan was still angry, if he remembered the events that had passed.

"Hm, just a minute, Di. I still have this job out."

They both sat facing. "What message do you want, Ki?"

"Anything," Kinan replied still feeling a bit awkward.

"The satisfaction is different, Ki. In the past, we always joked together, you are the best for me, Ki. Sorry again, I'm really sorry about the incident. I know it was my fault too. Sorry, and I'm okay if you don't forgive me. I also really understand you must be the same as me, Kinan. Now that you're in front of me, it's just because it doesn't feel good to me."

Kinan sighed, he then picked up the menu book, calling out to the waiter who was opposite them. "I ordered yes, Ma'am. Two lemon teas, same seafood fried rice."

Diana saw Kinan was still kind to her, even Kinan still remembered the menu they often ordered at the cafe. Ah, true. They have not been friends for long, if only the incident did not ruin everything.

"Thanks Ki, you're still craving the food we order so often."

"Gue I'm sorry. Although there are so many unanswered questions, but I do not wait for that answer again from you. For me it is not important and I just hope you get better after everything that has happened. I thought this was the path that was meant for me." Kinan smiled, he did not know if after this their relationship could return to how it used to be.

Diana cried, she approached Kinan, hugging tightly while sobbing. "Lo's really good, Ki. I married Mas Hamzah, even though everything was only for the sake of the baby in my womb. Regrets that will not be lost, but I try to accept the risks and the way forward, I want to be a better woman, although I will not be as good as you, Kinan."

Kinan did not cry, so he shed tears. "Thank God you're married to him. I pray that you are happy, and can be even better. I am also an ordinary man, many sins and wrongs" Kinan replied.

...***...

Dude closes his laptop, he decides to go home sooner. Everyday meetings with important clients seem endless. After only a few hours of not seeing Kinan's smile, she seemed to have lost something sweetest in her life.

Dude: Ki, I want to go home. You want me to pick it up? We eat the malem outside.

Dude put his phone down and put on his suit, he took the car keys, didn't forget to put his phone in his pocket. As he exited his room, Dude was startled by the presence of a woman smiling towards him.

"Surprise!! Baby!!"

"Geez, Selina?"

Selina comes with her glamorous appearance. Her hair was no longer blonde now, but black and long. Selina wore a black dress and white outer, not forgetting makeup that is not too thick but still makes a professional impression of makeup. Wedges that are high enough to make the lean body posture more charming.

Selina smiled and wanted to hug Dude immediately. But Dude quickly dodged. "Cell, what is less clear that I said a while ago? What are you doing here? Why meet me?"

"Dude! You changed that fast? Hey, why are you getting stiffer too, hm?" Selina shook her head, she clucked in annoyance, even though she had come all the way from America, but so was the welcome of her former lover.

"I don't want to re-discuss what I've said. Excuse me, I have to pick up my wife."

Dude just left Selina. His promise to pick up Kinan was far more important than meeting Selina.

"Wife? So that's not a joke?" muttered Selina, she did not feel ashamed, she felt that being friends was also not a problem, right? Even though Dude is married.

Kinan : Yes, Mas. Kinan just finished. Okay, Kinan wait, yeah.

Dude smilingly stared at her phone screen, reading a reply chat from Kinan. But she was also anxious because of Selina's presence. He was very understanding of Selina's character that was not easy to handle. Selina will definitely see him again.

Then Dude called the officer standing guard at his company so as not to let the woman named Selina come to his office again.

"I told you we're over, but you're stubborn, Cell."

Kinan smiled to himself while reading the chat from her husband. Then Kinan opened the red box that Diana had given him, inside was a fairy-shaped hijab pin, Diana said it was a memento for Kinan. Diana says goodbye, she and Hamzah will move out of town in search of a new atmosphere and serenity. Diana says Hamzah will try to accept Diana as her future. Kinan was relieved to hear it.

"Alhamdulillah, try to wear it, deh." Kinan then wears the fairy-shaped hijab pin that Diana gave him. "It's really pretty."
