Dude doused his wound with mineral water, then bandaged it with a handkerchief. He was still in a state of great anger, but as much as possible did not bring that anger to his home.
Kinan had not stopped smiling since. He had already discussed with his aunt at home, also with Dude's foster parents, about Dude's favorite food. Tonight Kinan deliberately cooked her husband's favorite meal.
"Chicken soup, balado shrimp, fried tempeh. Ah, fried tempeh is my favorite, it's okay. Fortunately, I taught you how to cook at that time. Yeah, so it's not so stupid to look at the kitchen and the frying pan." Kinan monologues while tidying the dishes at the dining table.
Shortly after, the sound of Dude's car was heard. Kinan immediately took off the apron, not forgetting to tidy up his hair and clothes. Then she smiled as she walked to the door to welcome her husband home.
"Assalamu'alaikum."
"Getishalight." Kinan immediately crucified her husband, but she was surprised to see the Dude hand wrapped in a handkerchief, there looked reddish like there was a wound behind it.
"Astaghfirullah's. This is why Mas? How did it get hurt? Mas fight?" asked Kinan with a panicked look.
Dude smiled and went into his house. "It's okay, honey. What are you cooking, so fragrant." Looks like the Dude won't discuss that now. Kinan tried to be patient. Though he believes it is impossible for the Dude to just get hurt if not fighting or fighting with someone. Or maybe it was just an incident that was unintentional? But why didn't the Dude tell the story straight away, if it was just because of some accident?
"Here let me bring you the bag."
Dude gave her the bag, then sat down at the dinner table after opening her suit. "Oh yes, let Kinan keep it in the room."
"Thank you dear." Dude smiled again.
Kinan brought her husband's suit and bag into the room. Then when he was about to hang up the suit owned by Dude, a piece of paper just fell making Kinan curious and then took it.
"Whose address is this?" Kinan stared at the writing of the address, guessing why her husband kept the address on a piece of paper? Usually her husband keeps business cards, this is a bit different, she thought.
"Hm, don't think of Kinan. You better put that back in your husband's coat pocket. Don't overthink it, okay?" kinan said to himself.
Kinan tried to keep up with her husband's mature attitude, even though their age was far enough, but that didn't mean it was a reason for her to be childish again.
"Udah done, baby. You haven't eaten yet? Let's eat together," asked Dude.
"Yes, Mum." Kinan immediately took the rice and also the side dishes for the Dude. Though curiosity urged him to ask what was the matter? Why was her husband hurt?
"Eat a lot, Mom. Kinan deliberately masakin for Mas. Mother said it's Mas Dude's favorite food." Kinan smiled then put down a plate of rice complete with his side dishes.
"God, thank you, dear. Yes, these are all my favorite foods. Then you eat dong."
Kinan nodded then went to eat with the Dude.
The feeling of Dude began to calm down when he saw Kinan, served simply, staring at the smile of the woman who had not been present in his life for so long. Kinan's presence inside the house made his feelings much more peaceful than before. That's what Dude always craved, and he's grateful there's a Kinan in his life.
"Where, Mas? Not delicious? Kinan is not good at cooking, it is also taught by Ibu Halimah, really Bu Halimah if you teach Kinan," he said with a laugh when remembering his mother's messages about how to cook good and right.
Dude laughed too. "Then anyway? But this is so delicious. I ate this like it was sweet."
"What the hell, Mas?" Kinan was a bit surprised. "Badahat Kinan does not put sugar, except in the shrimp balado, it is also a little. As Mother's orders."
Dude chuckles. "It's really sweet, you know why it's sweet?"
"Why?" reply Kinan seriously wanted to know.
"Because the sweetness is from you."
Kinan immediately blushed, he laughed again. "It could be. I thought my cooking was sweet."
"Yes really dong. I'm not lying. Look at you all so much sweeter. Thanks, baby."
Kinan was embarrassed. "Yes, you're welcome."
After dinner is over. Dude immediately cleaned himself, not forgetting he cleaned also the wound on his hand. Kinan paced in front of the bathroom, waiting for her husband to come out.
When the bathroom door opened, Kinan widened his eyes looking at Dude's bare chest. "Why are you Ki?"
"Ah, anu, not Mas. Kinan just wanted to see the wound in Mas's hand." Kinan even fluttered, when he should have been used to seeing the sight.
"Oh, this is okay. I'll put on my shirt first."
Kinan nodded, he sat on the sofa right in front of the television. In their room there was a television. Even though they have never seen TV together.
Dude then sat down beside Kinan, he exhaled heavily, looking tired. "You'll take the medicine box first."
"Yes." Yeah." Dude just smiled then turned on the television to kill the silence.
Kinan came with the medicine box. Without wasting any time, Kinan immediately saw the wound on Dude's hand. "It's okay, right? You're the one who's too worried, Ki."
Kinan took the alcoholic liquid and began to apply slowly. "Ssttt. peri also yes."
Kinan. "Yes, because it's a wound, Mas. Why did it get hurt? You don't want a story?"
Kinan still applied the wound with alcohol very carefully, only then did he give him an antiseptic liquid.
"I accidentally punched the wall."
Kinan was stunned for a moment. "Butting walls?"
Dude sighed, he was confused whether he should tell her that he met Good?
"Yes, it's a man's business." Dude stupefied relaxed.
"You fighting?"
"No. I've been beating up people, Ki."
"Astaghfirullah's. How can you?"
"Yes because that guy deserved to hit me. If killing was innocent, I might have killed him."
Kinan was silent just listening, he picked up a piece of gauze and wrapped the wound.
"I'm sorry, Ki. Because I can't control my emotions."
After the wound was wrapped, Kinan looked into Dude's eyes. "Why apologize? Kinan believed, I do everything with consideration."
Dude then laid his head on Kinan's lap. Although Kinan was a bit jolted, but he only smiled as he rubbed the top of Dude's head slowly.
"Talking to you is always calming. I often think that if I wasn't your husband, I'd regret it."
Kinan just laughed a little in response to the Dude's remark.
"When have you liked Kinan? Not after we got married? It used to be about the address question, but Mas doesn't know who I am, right?"
"First sight? When's that?"
"When Rey and I met you first in the hospital."
"Huh? Really Mas?" Kinan looked shocked.
"Yes. You don't believe it, Ki."
"Can't you, Mom? It's the first time." Kinan was still astonished by her husband's confession.
"I love seeing you, I feel like I have an interest in getting to know you. I have always been interested and curious about women who are closed. I think they are unique, graceful and full of tenderness."
A smile appeared on Kinan's cheeks, not forgetting the small dimples that added to her beauty.
"All women are like Kinan or just Kinan?"
Dude looked up at Kinan. "Only Kinan, not a woman like Kinan. I am errat yes. Later you thought I liked all the women who look like you again."
Kinan chuckles. "Oh that. Kirain Mas likes all women who look similar to Kinan."
"No, I just like you."
Kinan blushed again. "Thank you for liking Kinan."
Dude stroked Kinan's cheek with the position still on his lap. "I thank you for accepting me."
Kinan rubbed slowly on Dude's cheek, then ventured into his forehead.
Dude was a bit surprised, but she looked happy, then got up straight up her sitting position. "Hm, do you want to drink?"
Dude shook his head "No, Ki."
Kinan became misbehaved, he then pretended to watch television.
"Ki, is it okay if I don't want to tell you why I got hurt?"
"It's okay, Mom. Kinan will wait until Mas is ready to tell Kinan. As long as it's not about other women, is it Mas?"
"Oh Allah, Ki. I don't think about other women, for anything. I already have an amazing you."
About Selina coming to his office, Dude thought Kinan didn't need to know that. After all the Dude did not respond to Selina at all.
"Kinan actually met Selina in the hospital."
Dude immediately looked at Kinan so shocked. "What do you want, Ki?"
"Why? How shocked is that?"
Dude scratched his nape, then shook his head. "No, I just don't want him to bother you."
"No really. He happened to be checking himself out. He said he'd get dizzy a lot, if my friend said he was drunk a lot, Mom."
Dude no wonder, for Selina it must be a common thing. Only if you get to see a doctor, it means Selina has consumed too much alcohol.
"Selina's life is free, Ki."
Kinan suddenly wanted to know, how close Dude used to know Selina, but he was afraid to hear it even made him hurt. Finally Kinan chose to be silent, urung asked about it too far.
"Ki."
Dude clasped Kinan's hand staring at him fixedly. "You want to promise me one thing?"
"What Mas?"
"Trust me more than you trust anyone else huh, Ki."
"Hm, why did you suddenly say that?"
"I'm afraid in case there will be a word or something that makes you not believe in me, Ki. Whether it's about my past, or whatever. I hope you have to believe in me."
Although Kinan was a bit confused, but she had promised herself before that, she would have complete trust in her husband. "Yes, Mas. God willing."
"Thank you, Kinan. Your trust is what matters to me."
Kinan then hugged the Dude. "Sama-sama Mas's. The husbands have to trust each other, the most important thing is to stay open, no one is covered up."
"But Selina is beautiful, Mas. She ..."
Dude stopped Kinan's words. "Don't go on, for me you're the most beautiful."
Kinan froze, he was speechless.
"Women are always like that. Comparing himself to other women. But I hope you don't do that Ki. To me you are the most special."
They stared at each other for a while, then Dude lifted Kinan's body moving him into the lap.
"How many children do you want?"
"Kids?"
"Yes. I want to have a child."
Kinan chuckles. "It depends on God's gift."
"May God love us that belief is yes."
Kinan just nodded in embarrassment.
Dude began to rub the surface of Kinan's lips gently and slowly. Then it gets closer to giving a small peck over and over there.
"You tired?" ask Dude.
Kinan. "Mas tired?"
"I don't either."
Then the smiles of both of them grew. That night they did not go straight to sleep letting the feeling and gentle touch last the night.
