12 - Attacks

Ivew's emerald beads widened staring at the net and the sharp thorns were pointed at them. The girl pulled Lolita's arm and ran to dodge the direction of the monster's attack. That one sharp thorn almost hit their previous standing.

Lolita growled in annoyance and used her sword to cut the net that came back towards them.  The monster moved its body closer towards where Lolita and Ivew were. Leister who saw that tried to cut off some of the monster's legs in front of him.

“Similar to tarantula spiders. His legs are ten and the sharp thorns,” muttered Ivew who focused on watching the fight in front of him while avoiding the rest of the net trying to catch him and Lolita.

Leister's sword collided with the sharpness of the thorns that were at the feet of the spider monster. The monster again shouted out a deafening sound. Some kstaria came back. Ivew squinted at the monster trying to escape Leister's sword and the knights around him. The monster's distance from Ivew and Lolita was about fifteen meters. Ivew stared at the several cookie knives in his hand and began to take into account the plan in his head.

“Young Miss, can you protect me from those nets?” tanya Ivew stood beside Lolita.

The girl's pomegranate bead looked at Ivew in shock. The sword in his hand shot back up slashing at one of the spider webs that came. Lolita nodded and Ivew replied with a smiling face. The girl took a few steps forward and began to take into account the distance as well as the speed of the knife throw in her hand.

“Better to try than just keep quiet.”

Ivew muttered and started throwing the cake knife in his hand towards one of the front eyes of the monster and using a slight breeze around his hand that would increase the speed of the cake knife.

The monster screamed as it felt something sharp piercing its eyes. Ivew repeated the same way and fired three other knives. Tearing one of the spider monster's front eyes to pieces and draining purple blood. The attack was enough to block the movement of the monster to judge the distance of its attack.

“The attack from-"

Leister who saw the spider monster shouted silently and turned to stare at the place where Lolita and Ivew were. The young man's ruby bead enlarged upon seeing Ivew who had just completed his attack. The purple blood of the monster flowed from his eyes and almost hit Leister who was near the monster's feet. The young man immediately retreated along with the remaining knights.

“Ivew ..

Lolita's voice of shock was cut off as the monster shot randomly at her spider webs. Leister who was discussing with the knights dodged the legs of the monsters that kept moving randomly and held the sharp thorns of the monster legs that kept shooting out in all directions with his silver sword.

“Sial! You guys be careful!”

Leister shouted and his voice echoed mixed with the cry of the monster as well as the agonizing sound of the knight being hit by a sharp thorn attack.

“Nona watch out!”

Lolita was silent as the sharp thorns from the monster's feet were two meters in front of her. Ivew's feet ran quickly trying to pull Lolita's hand away.

“Nona, are you okay?” ivew asked as he managed to pull Lolita away from the sharp thorns that were crushing the ground behind them.

The pomegranate-eyed girl nodded slowly and rubbed her dusty face gently. His silver hair looked shiny despite the dust of the ground scattered around them.

Ivew nodded at Lolita's reply. His emerald eye beads looked back at Leister and the Flowerlax family knights who were about to make the spider monster die. In fact, the clothes that Leister was wearing were already filled with purple liquid from the monster.

The monster tried to get up and turned towards the black forest. Leister immediately slashed the front two legs of the monster shorter than the other, again holding back the scratches from his sword that hit the monster's sharp thorns.

The monster again shouted and moved his other leg making the ruby-eyed young man bounce towards the several kstaria behind him. Lolita who saw the incident in front of him shouted and was about to help Leister who had difficulty waking up.

The young man groaned as he felt a pain in his back and right leg. Blood flowed from his head that hit the ground. The monster turned towards Lolita who was about to run over but was held back by Ivew's hand.

“Nona .. the monster is towards us. We have to think of a way to avoid his attack.”

Ivew's quiet voice made Lolita catch her breath and nodded. His delirious bead looked at Leister who was trying to get up. From a distance the Ivew emerald bead caught a brownish silver light that ran closer towards them from within the forest.

Coinciding with the spider web the monster shot towards him. Ivew frantically pushed Lolita's body away from the attack distance of the spider monster. The girl held her breath as the monster's spider web won her body and pulled herself at high speed towards the monster.

Lolita who saw that immediately ran as fast as she could following Ivew who groaned painfully as her back hit some large rocks sticking out of the ground. The pomegranate-eyed girl exclaimed and threw her sword at Ivew.

Ivew's hand that was between the net holes immediately caught Lolita's sword and stuck it to the ground. The movement of the spider web stopped and Ivew held back as hard as the pull of the monster that made his breath start tight.

Leister who was ten meters to the left of Ivew tried to get up to resist his blurred vision due to the impact on the head. The young man thrust his sword on the ground trying to keep his body standing while the knights around him no longer moved and only roared in pain.

Lolita soon reached Ivew's weak hand clutching the sword algae. The girl's pomegranate bead panicked a little as the pull of the spider monster released one of Ivew's hands from the handle of the sword. The spider monster again shouted and messed with their concentration. Lolita desperately held her hand to continue grasping Ivew's hand.

The emerald-eyed girl started to run out of breath as one of the nets wrapped around her chest and stomach tightly. Leister with the rest of his strength tried to get closer towards the two girls who desperately held on. Blood kept dripping from the young man's head and his footsteps grew slower with the hand that drew his sword.

“Sial! Lolita catch this sword!”

Leister shouted while throwing his sword and the pomegranate-eyed girl managed to catch him. Leister smiled as the sword was in Lolita's hands and fell down unable to endure the pain.

“Defend, Ivew!” shouted Lolita with one hand holding a sword trying to cut the spider web and the other hand still faithfully holding Ivew's hand.

The emerald-eyed girl nodded and tried to control her breath while the spider monster behind them shouted back when its prey did not arrive. Happy rays were present on Lolita's pomegranate bead as the spider's web began to detach from Ivew's body.

“Eh .. no!”
