25 - Heart and Black

Leister flinched and glanced at the silent Lolita after listening to the words of the black cat in front of them. Ivew looked at Veister who remained calm and continued to look at Lolita who took her eyes off him.

“The attack of the black magician reacted to you. That means your heart starts to bond with something smelling of darkness that causes a shred of black magic from the attack to react with your blood.”

Veister's voice echoed in the silence of Lolita's room. Laveron and Ivew exchanged lyrics and looked back at Veister's cat approaching Lolita.

“You mean those black veins, Mr Cat?” leister asked and the black cat nodded back.

Veister placed his hand on Lolita's palm, the room was again filled with a brown light mixed with silver. Lolita remained silent and felt a warm feeling as the light from the Veister cat slowly disappeared. Ruby Leister's eyes looked at Lolita's more relaxed face and the young man's hands moved to hug Lolita.

The pomegranate-eyed girl fell silent as the sound of Leister's apology entered her hearing. The girl's hands moved around stroking Leister's back and hugging her tighter. Laveron and Ivew who felt awkward about the matters of the noble family in front of them could only keep quiet. The Mirabeth brothers glanced at Veister who was approaching them and asked for a sling from Ivew.

“The word of affection can release the darkness in the heart. So don't let your loving bond break!” said Veister's cat, now in Ivew's arms.

Lolita who was still in Leister's arms nodded. Laveron decided to leave their home and apologized because they were present at the wrong time. The smiles of Lolita and Leister immediately broke the hearts of the two.

The ruby-eyed youth took off the return of the two Mirabeth brothers in front of the courtyard of the Flowerlax mansion. Ivew and Laveron nodded to Leister as the two mounted the horse. The ruby-eyed young man looked at Veister's cat who was in Laveron's arms.

“Thank you, Mr. Cat for your help. I ... glad Lolita finally want to open her heart more.”

Veister and the others turned to look at the smiling Leister. The black cat nodded.

“My name is Veister not Mr. Cat,” replied Veister and immediately closed his eyes comforting himself in Laveron's arms.

Ivew smiled and represented Laveron to say goodbye to Leister. The young man nodded and smiled as the Mirabeth brothers horse started to come out from the courtyard of the Flowerlax mansion. The wind again came stroking his silver hair and ruby eye bead Leister glanced towards the still-lit window of the duke's study.

Those ruby eyes met the blood-red eyes of the duke who continued to observe him. Leister averted his gaze and re-entered the mansion walking leisurely towards Lolita's room. The two decided to finish all the feelings and anxiety that had stretched their relationship.

“Good you guys finally open up to each other. The cat is right .. lest darkness eat your heart.”

Grein's voice rang out between the hallway of the mansion. Leister smiled and nodded glancing at Grein who was flying beside him. The young man went back inside Lolita's room leaving Grein who remained flying in her silent passageway.

“I do not hesitate to finish off the flowerlax descendants that are bound with darkness. Because the darkness will destabilize this world and will add new tasks for the boy.”

Ivew was slightly goosebumps as she felt the wind caress her black hair. The blue moon shone brightly on top of it illuminating the road leading to their warm home. Ivew's emerald bead stared at Laveron's back in front of him.

The young man's black hair moved in the direction of the wind and the shaking of the horse while the silver tail of the Veister cat seemed to be waving. Ivew recalled Veister's words about black magic and his relationship with Lolita.

“It's true. That's why I prevented it early because the time and destiny of this world have been so chaotic.”

Veister's voice was heard in Ivew's head. The cat's two-color bead remains focused on looking forward while resting its head in Laveron's left arm. The navy-eyed young man only smiled as he felt Veister's warm fur touch his skin. Another thing with Ivew who was on his horse the girl digested Veister's sudden statement to him.

The two horses began to enter the residential area and finally reached their home which was at the very end of the other house. The house is quite hidden from the village street. Laveron got off his horse and immediately steered his horse and Ivew's horse towards the stables.

Ivew waited for Laveron while opening the door of their house with mana energy. When the emerald-eyed girl opened the door of the house they had vanilla immediately welcome the kiss making the two Mirabeth brothers calmer.

“Rest, Ivew! We have plenty of time to relax. Want to hunt tomorrow?”

Laveron asked as he removed the black robe of his military uniform and removed the sword sheath from his waist. The emerald-eyed girl nodded and immediately climbed into her room on the second floor which was followed by the Veister cat without Laveron noticing.

Opening the door of his room Ivew emerald beads were diverted to the blue orchid which again shone in the moonlight. The girl approached and stared at the size of the blue orchid that was slightly larger than the last one she saw.

“The flower evolved, Ivew,” said Veister who changed to his human form and closed the door of Ivew's room.

The emerald-eyed girl turned her head to look at Veister who was walking closer towards her. The young man's hand held the petals of a flower that continued to bloom as the moonlight hit him.

“Volution?”

“Ya .. just like your strength. Nature will evolve as well as the elements in it.”

Veister looked at the face of Ivew standing beside him. The girl nodded and sat on the edge of her bed, tidying up her messed up black hair.

“I'm curious about this. Why am I a character who has never existed in this world actually got a blessing from nature? Aren't there many other characters with better potential?”

Ivew stared at Veister's back who continued to hold the petals of the blue orchid flower. The young man turned around and looked at Ivew with his two-colored eye bead.

“You will soon find out the truth, Ivew. Just when your soul is ready to receive the memory of the owner of this body,” Veister replied with a small smile on his face.

While the two were busy discussing, they did not realize that the right person was standing behind the door and was about to knock on Ivew's door. The young man's navy bead widened and fell silent at the door hearing the sentence just spoken by the owner of the room.

“What ... means that?”
