13 - Help of the Wind

“No! Ivew!” lolita's scream echoed as her hand clasping Ivew's came loose and the monster instantly pulled the net containing Ivew's body.

The monster's sharp thorn almost pierced his heart if Lolita did not fend him off with the sword Leister threw. The thorns kept coming to hinder Lolita's movement to save Ivew. The emerald-eyed girl had briefly grabbed the sword Lolita gave her and used it to cut through the rest of the net wrapped around her body.

With sweat running down his hands Ivew raced with the mouth of the monster getting closer to him. His hands trembled trying to sever the rest of the web with Lolita's sword while the spider monster continued to shout and let out its sharp thorns which further troubled Lolita.

The net began to loosen Ivew's movements and the girl's hand quickly moved the sword in her hand cutting the net that was above her head. The net was severed and Ivew rolled to the right dodging the monster's thorn attack.

The spider monster again shouted and shot its web towards Ivew who was still lying down. The girl stood up and slashed at the net that was endlessly attacking her. Lolita who saw Ivew successfully escape from the spider web the monster let out a sigh of relief and focused on blocking the sharp thorns that kept coming towards her.

The movement of Ivew's hand slashing the sword looked strong but the girl held back the pain on her wrists which was painful. His emerald eye bead stared at the circular bracelet on his right wrist. The girl instantly remembered Veister who had run towards the black forest and had not returned. Ivew recalled the brownish silver light that broke his focus and ended up being captured by the monster's spider web.

“What is it, Veister? Where is he at the moment?” muttered Ivew slashing down one net that came back.

The monster growled furiously and again shouted, pulling out its net towards Ivew's sword. The emerald-eyed girl flinched as her sword was drawn by the monster and crushed by a mouth full of sharp teeth. Ivew clenched his hands and glanced at Lolita who was busy fending off the sharp thorns that were now coming from the back of the monster.

The thorn was slightly long from the thorn in its leg and was black in color, flying at a deadly speed. Ivew's manik glanced at Leister who was no longer moving and believed the young man had lost consciousness.

Ivew gasped as she felt the spider web hit her hand and pulled back. As he was busy releasing the monster nets that started to wrap around his hands Ivew felt the wind swirling around him, gently caressing his jet-black hair as if a hand was moving his strands of hair. The girl's emerald bead widened as she listened to a faint little voice whispering in her ear.

“We will help you! Let's beat up that monster together!”

The wind again moved around Ivew's hair. The girl nodded and began to feel the wind gathering in her palm forming a faint white-colored vortex. Ivew's fingers moved the wind in his hands and cut the net that was still pulling him. The spider's web was severed just as Ivew was standing in front of the monster.

The girl smiled and gathered the wind power in her hand produced a quite powerful vortex and directly shot it towards the huge eyes of the monster. The spider monster screamed as the only eyes left for him to get the color and distance from his prey shattered.

Ivew smiled proudly looking at the result in front of him and moved away using the wind that swirled around him. The emerald-eyed girl was standing right beside Lolita who was looking at her with a shocked expression mixed in. The girl's pomegranate bead widened as she stared at the smiling face of Ivew looking at her.

The monster looked chaotic with its balance and moved without direction. Ivew sighed and refocused the wind with both hands forming a huge spear over the monster's body.

“The movement is getting chaotic. Let's destroy that spider monster!”

Ivew nodded as the voice came back to him. The wind spear began to move down following Ivew's hand movements and the sharp tip of the wind spear pierced the center of the spider monster's body. The cry of pain of the monster echoed along with the wind within his body slowly disrupting his body. The purple liquid from the monster spread out in all directions followed by tremors due to the resistance of the monster.

Ivew frowned trying to defend his wind spear which almost killed the monster in front of him. Sweat began to flow from her forehead and the girl felt her gaze slightly blurred. Lolita stands guard with her sword behind Ivew in case something unexpected happens. The pomegranate-eyed girl stared at Ivew's trembling back along with the screams of the spider monster trying to break away from the spear that was raining down on her body.

“A little more!”

Ivew muttered while holding back the trembling as the wind spear started to go awry and melted away losing its spear form. Lolita immediately ran towards Ivew holding the emerald-eyed girl's body back.

The monster sensed Lolita's movements from her side eyes and shot back a sharp thorn from her back. The black thorn was successfully fended off by Lolita with one hand holding Ivew's body. The emerald-eyed girl's breathing seemed heavy as her body was too shocked by the sheer scale of force used all of a sudden.

From within the black forest Ivew and Lolita's ears heard the commotion making the two even more afraid if it was a favor for the monsters. Lolita brandished her sword with a forward focused look. Ivew tried to open his eyes and focus his gaze on the monster figure that seemed to be waiting for the movement of its prey.

“Monster it .. just stay his side eye ... Missy. We can definitely!”

Ivew's hoarse voice went into Lolita's hearing. The pomegranate-eyed girl nodded and immediately understood. That meant that the monsters in front of them were waiting for them to move and launch an attack then attack them with their deadly attacks.

The voice from within the forest was getting closer and Ivew's emerald bead could see that it was the figures of soldiers in their military uniforms and the front one was a familiar figure. The young man with the navy bead who was ready with the sword pointed forward.

“Nona Young ... You believe in me, right?” Ivew asked quietly with a fixed view of focusing forward.

Lolita nodded in response. Ivew smiled and moved one of his hands, imagining the shape of a wind spear and giving rise to it Ivew's slightly gleaming emerald bead. The spear hit the head of the monster and made the monster scream. He moved quickly towards the exhausted Lolita and Ivew and almost closed his eyes.

“Bless your weapons and attack!”
