Cona was startled and got up to sit down, her hands immediately throwing a pillow inside her arms at the small black figure that shocked her. The voice did sound familiar to him but the sudden appearance of a black figure actually made him a heart gymnast.
“Wait a minute, Miss! It's me!”
The small black figure shouted while dodging from the throw of Cona's pillow and suddenly emitted a silver glow as well as a faint silver mist that spread throughout the room. Cona's hand movements came to a halt and his eyes looked at the figure of the black-silver-robed young man who had once been in his mind.
“Wait! So you're the black cat?!” cona exclaimed looking at the young man in front of him in shock. The young man nodded and commented a smile, stepped his feet towards the chair by Cona's bed and sat quietly there.
Cona glanced at the young man beside her and slightly kept her distance while muttering softly, “It's a good thing I didn't take you to shower that day.”
The young man only chuckled softly and apologized for his actions that shocked Cona and her disguise as a black cat in the previous world. The young man's two-colored eye beads looked around and looked back at Cona who was now staring at her feet in a bandage.
“There's something you want to ask, Miss?”
The young man's voice sounded warm and Cona glanced at the young man beside him who was smiling again. The girl sighed and lay back staring at the wooden ceiling, massaging her pulsating head.
“Include yourself first! In fact, I don't know where you came from!”
The young man fell silent and again chuckled, his warm-sounding voice making Cona more relaxed. “Oh sorry for my impoliteness miss. I'm Veister Nolet. I am a holy witch in charge of seeking a holy soul to save this world. And I will accompany your journey, Miss. So don't hesitate to me.”
Cona cleared her throat slowly and turned to look at the smiling Veister. The girl slightly goosebumps as the young man in front of her continued to smile nonstop. Cona remembered the young man in front of her who was one of the characters her best friend liked. The character created by his best friend with a characteristic smile that is able to make others calm and comfortable.
Also in the real world his figure as a black cat with a silver tail that always helps him when passing the bad days after the best friend, the only family he has also left him. Cona was about to ask but the sound of footsteps from outside the room caught his attention and the girl immediately told Veister to hide.
The young man smiled again and turned into a black cat figure with a silver tail. Running under Cona's mattress to hide, just as the wooden door in front of her opened featured a young man with black hair and navy eyes carrying a tray filled with porridge and warm water. Cona smiled as the fragrance of the cuisine entered her sense of smell, calling herself to immediately finish the meal in plain sight.
The young man with navy eyes smiled and immediately handed the bowl of porridge to Cona. The girl ate it voraciously and smiled as she tasted the same taste of the cuisine her family had once tasted. Cona stopped the movement of his hand and glanced at the young man beside him who was adding wood into the fireplace.
“The young man is your brother, Miss.”
“What's Ivew? You look weird. Is the porridge not good?” asked the young man astonishedly looking at the slightly careless sister.
“Hah Ivew?” the girl was confused.
“Yes? That's your name, sister. Waitaminute! Have you forgotten your own name?! Is your head okay?”
The young man stared worriedly and held onto both of Cona's now nervous shoulders. The girl nodded and laughed awkwardly answering that she was fine.
“Maybe your head hit during the monster attack. Rest, Ivew! If you need something call brother ya!”
The young man got up, stroked Cona's head and immediately walked out of the sister's room. Cona stared at the closed door and immediately got out of bed, ignoring the pain that continued to strike her legs. The girl walked around her room looking for something. Veister who was under the bed walked out and returned to his human form.
The young man stared at the girl in front of him who exclaimed cheerfully as he found a mirror and began to stare at the reflection of himself in the mirror. Cona was silent looking at her new reflection, her once brown eyes were now emerald and not forgetting the same jet black hair. But now her hair is more shiny. The girl was stunned by her new form and glanced at the faithful Veister looking at her with a smiling face.
“Who is the owner of this body? And that young man?” cona asked into bed and sat back down while staring at the bandage on her right leg that was slightly loose.
“Ivew Mirabeth's. The youngest girl from the Mirabeth family and died one day ago due to the attack of the monsters on the forest border. And the young man was Ivew's brother, Laveron Mirabeth,” Veister obviously casually looked at the slightly grimacing Cona as he unintentionally tightened his bandage ties hearing Veister's explanation.
The owner of this body died a week ago and Cona replaced his soul. Would this family accept her if she knew she was living as their daughter? Pretending to be Ivew Mirabeth, she is a surrogate soul in order to save the world.
Cona sighed and glanced at her warm room, the blue orchid flower in front of the window really made her calm down. The girl went back to digging her mind, looking for a figure by the name of Ivew Mirabeth among the memories of the novel character of the Way of Destiny by the friend.
“No Ivew Mirabeth figures in original works, Miss. From the very beginning this woman is dead and I am just looking for another way to keep your soul from being sniffed by the black magician if I put you in the body of another figure. The witch will definitely kill you if she finds your soul in another novel character,” Veister explained making Cona nod and approve of the young man's statement.
While busy with her thoughts the girl gasped to see the blue orchid near her bedroom window shining brightly, coinciding with the moonlight that seemed to be getting brighter. Cona's emerald eyes widened as she stared at the blue light grains moving towards the wound on her right leg. The cold sensation flowing from her feet moved all over her body and Cona began to feel her body improve. Veister who was beside the girl smiled.
“Not usually natural energy moves heal a person without special contract. Looks like nature likes you, Miss.”
