Ch.10 - Leaving the Lotus Sect

“Ohh you seem too arrogant just for successfully setting foot in the second stage.”

Tang Guan's eyebrows shot up and he snorted coldly. According to him, there was still a difference in strength between them. After all, Xu Feng had just advanced to stage two whereas he was already many years in that realm and was almost at the top.

There is no way that a person who has just learned to use the sword can defeat someone who has been working on swordsmanship for years. Simply so.

Unfortunately Tang Guan once again misunderstood something. Every time Xu Feng rose a stage using panels, his strength would instantly be at the peak of each stage. Xu Feng was aware of that fact when he ascended to the second stage.

“Hahaha is that really so?”

Xu Feng simply laughed and looked at Tang Guan with a mocking smile, causing the man to be immediately overwhelmed with emotion.

“You seem to crave death!”

Tang Guan bellowed furiously and directly ran towards Xu Feng. From behind him, the only remaining young man followed him.

Tang Guan was not a fool. Although he felt his strength was superior to Xu Feng, it would not hurt to add more safety guarantees. He didn't care about a fair fight or any of that nonsense.

“Let's see how you'll survive this time!”

Tang Guan grinned and swung his sword with all his might.

“Hmm!!”

Still with an indifferent face, Xu Feng welcomed the incoming attack.

Stand off..

The sound of a metal collision was again heard, accompanied by the look on Tang Guan's shocked face. From that collision, he realized that Xu Feng's strength was the same as his, and perhaps even a little stronger.

Before he could think any further, Xu Feng took the initiative and attacked him back.

Ting..Ting..Ting

The two swords again clashed strongly and in a fast tempo. Occasionally the collision of the two metals released sparks that spread everywhere.

“No, something is wrong!!”

Tang Guan shouted in horror when he discovered that Xu Feng was actually able to surpass him in strength and speed. This was an experience he only gained when dealing with people who were at the peak of the second stage.

“Lu Lei, Quickly kill him!!”

Tang Guan cried out with all his might as he battled against Xu Feng's sword which constantly rained down on him like bullets. He felt overwhelmed, sweat soaked his face and his hands were already trembling in pain.

From behind Xu Feng, the young man named Lu Lei ran over with a sword raised high.

Watching that, Tang Guan gritted his teeth and forced himself to push back against Xu Feng. He wanted to create an opportunity for Lu Lei.

“Try targeting my back? Too weak.”

Xu Feng sneered coldly.

In the horrified gazes of the two youths, Xu Feng's body turned blurry and suddenly disappeared from its place.

Lu Lei did not even have a chance to think when Xu Feng suddenly appeared behind him and pierced his back, penetrating all the way to the heart.

“It..”.

Lu Lei's gaze became blank, he wanted to say something but was choked by the blood coming out of his mouth. Then, his body slowly lost strength and fell to the ground.

“How is it possible?!”

Tang Guan shouted in disbelief. He looked at Xu Feng like he was looking at a monster. He was scared and took a few steps back.

“Shadow Steps!? Xu Feng, have you mastered it?”

“No no, how can?.”

Tang Guan's mind was full of chaos. Total chaos. He no longer understood what was really going on.

How could a man with the talent of Circle One be able to do it all? Even Ye Fenfang with the talent of Circle Three took about five years to learn the Shadow Steps technique.

And Tang Guan himself had the talent of Circle Two, yet until now he had not been able to master the Shadow Step Technique. It was worth knowing that he was two years older than Xu Feng.

Various questions and doubts came to Tang Guan's mind.

“I told you, nothing is impossible.”

Xu Feng spoke calmly and stepped slowly towards Tang Guan.

The young man was immediately frightened and was intent on escaping. However, before Tang Guan could turn around, Xu Feng had already arrived beside him using Shadow Steps and pierced his heart.

Tang Guan's face was filled with despair and regret.

“Xu Feng, you.”

Tang Guan coughed and spewed blood from his mouth, he looked at Xu Feng with wide eyes. Never once in his life did he think that his life would be lost at the hands of the young man he considered weak.

“Make this a lesson in your second life.”

Said Xu Feng coldly as he pulled out the sword from Tang Guan's body. And instantly, Tang Guan's body lost its strength and slowly fell to the ground.

“That too if it is true there is a second life for you.”

Xu Feng stared at Tang Guan's corpse for a while before leaving the place.

Although his clothes were tattered and looked like a beggar, no one dared to bother him.

Simple reason. Xu Feng deliberately let out a second stage aura, scaring the ordinary people around him.

Xu Feng accelerated his pace and headed towards the sect. He did not even greet the gatekeeper and simply threw his identity token.

“Hei want your token!!”

The guard looked at Xu Feng's back which was getting further away.

“What's wrong with him?”

The guard shook his head and stored Xu Feng's token into his pocket. The young man would definitely return if he remembered.

Xu Feng on the other hand really did not care. After all, from today on, he would not be in the Lotus Sect anymore.

“Quickly or later elder Feng Yang will realize the death of Ciao Yi. He can definitely connect everything that happened if he finds out that I'm still alive”

“Being here no longer seems like an option”

Xu Feng muttered bitterly. He had originally planned on wanting to remain in the Lotus Sect, but fate seemed to have another will.

Even if he told Feng Yang's true identity to others, no one would believe him. Elder Feng Yang was a famous expert whereas Xu Feng was just an ordinary disciple who was at the second stage.

He had no weight to make people believe in him.

“In the end it is power that speaks.”

Noticing all that, Xu Feng's gaze calmed down again. No matter how much he thought, it would not make things better.

Xu Feng shook his head and walked towards Gao Gao's hut. The reason he returned to the sect was because he wanted to take Gao Gao with him.

It was impossible for Xu Feng to let Gao Gao settle in a place inhabited by evil cultivators. No one knew how many more of them were hiding in this place.

“Xu Feng? You've been back so soon?”

Gao Gao was aware of Xu Feng's arrival. He was currently training in front of the hut so that his fatty body was full of sweat.

He wiped his forehead using one of his hands and spoke

“Is your business done?”

“Yahh is done.”

Xu Feng nodded slowly and immediately pulled Gao Gao. Before Gao Gao threw out his typical curse, Xu Feng covered his mouth and spoke in seriousness

“Listen, pack your things immediately, we have to go!”

“Go? Go where?”

Gao Gao glanced at Xu Feng strangely.

“Don't ask too many questions and just do it! I'll tell you later”

Xu Feng frowned and kicked Gao Gao hard.

“Good, well, I'll do it!”

Gao Gao cried out in pain and immediately packed up his precious items. Not many. Just some old pictures of his family and some shabby clothes.

He did not even ask any further and chose to trust Xu Feng.

The trust between them was a little strange.

There was one time in childhood when Gao Gao asked Xu Feng to teach him to swim even though Xu Feng himself could not swim. Interestingly, Xu Feng even believed that he was able to teach Gao Gao to be a reliable swimmer.

What Xu Feng meant was teaching no more shouting from above the ground and cheering Gao Gao on.

And that's how the story of a fat man who almost drowned many times just to be able to swim. And after the fat man was proficient, he then taught Xu Feng to swim.

“Ohh right, spiritual stone! I almost forgot!”

Gao Gao suddenly exclaimed and slapped his forehead. He hurriedly headed to the wardrobe and immediately shifted it. Then, he took out a bag of cloth from inside the hole in the wall that was covered by the wardrobe earlier.

Even his way of storing spiritual stones was the same as Xu Feng.

“This child.”

Xu Feng could only grumble at Gao Gao's behavior. But in her heart, she felt warmth. After all he had inherited the emotions from the predecessor of this body so Xu Feng also felt an attachment between himself and Gao Gao.

“Hmm .. Let's see, it seems like nothing is left behind.” Gao Gao said as he double-checked his belongings.

“Good, let's go!!”

Xu Feng nodded and soon the two of them left the Lotus sect.

No one noticed their departure, and even if there were, no one cared.

“Sometimes later, I will return and repay this debt”

“Older Feng A.”

Xu Feng muttered and a sharp glint flashed in his eyes. No one knows what he's thinking.

The two of them walked through the gate, leaving the gatekeeper with a puzzled face as Xu Feng did not say anything regarding his token.
