Ch.47 - Underground Aisle

“There are more and more merchant caravans I meet.”Xu Feng looked at the horse carriage troupe not far ahead, he counted inwardly and realized that this caravan was the tenth he had met on the way after leaving the Xue Village.

“It looks like forming a guard division is required.”

Xu Feng thought silently, he had actually thought of this for a long time. If there were more and more people gathered, the chances of conflict and rioting would be even higher, the guard division he had planned was almost like the police organization of his previous life.

His job was to guard and protect the peace of Xue Village, as well as being the law enforcement for those who broke the rules.

“I need to wait for the two brothers to return.”

Xu Feng muttered lowly before looking for an empty spot and changing his clothes in all-black clothes from the small bag on his back. Then, he took out a black and white mask to cover his entire face, these were things he had personally prepared before departing.

He was now part of the Shadow House, no longer Xu Feng from Xue Village. He needed to change his identity to separate those two different worlds.

Not long after Xu Feng reappeared on the street, his all-black figure and the mask on his face gave off a frightening and oppressive feeling.

He then walked closer to Pang Village before turning the other way when he saw a small white stone lying within a thicket beside the road, people will not be able to realize the stone if they do not pay close attention to it.

Not far from the side of the road, in the forest, there was a large banyan tree. Xu Feng approached and turned westward from the tree and stomped his feet as he stood three steps away from the tree.

The sound of wood creaking then sounded.

“This is it..” Xu Feng muttered lowly and fumbled to the ground, he then sensed a rough grip that was covered in soil and immediately pulled it hard.

Dust flew into the air as the underground entrance opened in front of Xu Feng, the passageway was so dark with no lighting at all.

“The guide in the letter does not lie.”

Xu Feng walked in through each rung of the stairs, he did not forget to close back the door before stepping deeper.

“Hmm!? New guy?” A hooded figure looked at Xu Feng intently, his tone emotionless. The figure was sitting lazily on a bamboo door, he noticed Xu Feng's footsteps shortly after entering the underground passageway.

“I need mission.” Xu Feng tossed the Crow Medal, he was unaffected by the manner of the person's speech.

“So really a new kid well. Your strength is very high as a person who just entered.” The figure only stared at the medallion for a moment before throwing it back, he was impressed by the aura released by Xu Feng.

A Fourth Stage master!

“Senior, you overestimated me.” Xu Feng laughed softly, he realized that this figure was also at the same stage as him.

It seemed like the Shadow House placed great importance on this entrance.

“No, you've been pretty decent even at the Shadow House.” The mysterious figure waved a simple hand before pressing his hand on the lever that was beside him. At the same time, the bamboo door opened slowly.

“Remember, don't mess up.” He uttered the last word before returning to meditate in silence.

Xu Feng nodded and saluted before walking away. He had no intention of bothering that person any longer.
