Great Swordsman

Great Swordsman
Ch.29 - After the Battle

The cheers echoed so loudly from the villagers of Xue Village, they had been told that an expert had come to their aid and defeated the horde of Demon Beasts.

The people watching Xu Feng fight from the city walls spread the news in every corner of the village to ease the panic in everyone's hearts.

Thousands of people flowed out through the village gate like ants, they personally wanted to meet their savior.

“This.”

Huo Tin was stunned when he saw what was happening before his eyes, he had originally chased after Xu Feng as quickly as possible out of worry but it seemed that his presence was not needed, the young man solved all the problems by himself.

“He who killed all these Demonic Beasts?”

The sixth elder who was beside him gawked at the hundreds of Iron Wolf corpses lying on the ground. What made him even more shocked was that all the corpses were in the same condition, their heads all released.

“All the pieces are so smooth, it seems like they all died in just one slash. Is this Senior Xu's true strength?”

Huo Tin muttered in disbelief, how could there be such a terrifying sword technique? Moreover, he knew that Xu Feng's swordsmanship was only at the basic level because previously Xu Feng had given his own when they did a simple sparing in the Tao Village.

What basic level! Huo Tin cursed inwardly, he was sure that Xu Feng's swordsmanship should already be at an advanced level, or perhaps a master.

The thought of it caused Huo Tin's body feathers to creep, what kind of young man could achieve such a high level of a technique at such a young age.

“The future of Xue Village is very bright.”

Huo Tin would inevitably feel envious, such a genius would undoubtedly become an extremely powerful expert in the future, anyone who was in his protection would only live in prosperity and fame.

“Master expert, thank you very much!”

Xue Song led thousands of people and stood in front of Xu Feng, he kowtowed and banged his head three times to the ground, all the villagers behind him also kowtowing.

“Thank you!!” Thousands of people shouted simultaneously, their shouts blaring through the air.

The atmosphere at that time was very solemn, many residents were no longer able to hold back their tears and sobbed. Xu Feng was basically pulling them from the death gate.

Many of them had lost family members in the attack of the Demon Beast, the suffering and hopeless conditions they had gone through it was everyone's nightmare.

The feeling of being strangled and picked up by death slowly was the last thing they wanted to experience again.

“Thank you, thank you.” Xue Song, the leader of the hunting team who had seen so many things was also no longer able to hold back her tears.

Right in front of his eyes, he saw his only dead son being torn apart by the Iron Wolf.

If not for the responsibility he had taken on, Xue Song had almost parachuted himself into the horde of Demon Beasts out of anger and revenge.

He would have almost gone mad if not for his brothers-in-arms slapping him on the cheek and waking him out of his stupid mind.

The old man constantly lowered his head and muttered words of gratitude nonstop. His voice was so hoarse and poignant, he was crying like a child, one could not imagine what kind of sadness his heart was going through.

“You..”

“Senior Xu, you can't let them continue prostrating like that.”

Huo Tin suddenly appeared beside Xu Feng and patted his shoulder which immediately resuscitated Xu Feng from his empty mind.

Xu Feng nodded slowly and took a deep breath to calm his heart, he looked at the thousands of people in front of him and shouted

"Everything! Please stop your actions, the village still needs your help, do not let the corpses of the fallen heroes receive such treatment. We need to treat them with respect!”

Xu Feng's shout immediately roused them from grief, what he said was true, the corpses of their families were still lying coldly around the village.

“Please cremation them as a last tribute.” Xu Feng added, he is a soul that comes from Earth, his respect for every hero's life is more than anyone in this world could imagine.

They are souls who are tough and tough in the face of death to protect the life behind them, such a figure deserves his respect.

Every villager immediately got up when they heard Xu Feng say, they staggered and returned to the village full of sadness.

“Mr..” Xue Song stood up with great difficulty, he wanted to say something but was immediately interrupted by Xu Feng.

“No more words needed!” Xu Feng waved his hand, “I want you to find an empty land to bury them, and also find a skilled sculptor, I want to create a hero monument for those who are dead.”

Huo Tin was stunned to hear that, he did not expect Xu Feng would come up with such thoughts.

Heroes monument? Only prestigious people deserved such respect, never had he heard of anyone intending to build a monument to the common people.

“Master, isn't this a bit of an exaggeration?”

Xue Song asked puzzledly, what Xu Feng said was beyond the general thought of this world so it was only natural that Xue Song felt a little strange.

“No exaggeration, they are worthy of it.” Xu Feng replied in a serious tone, he emphasized not to question what he said anymore.

“Good sir!” Xue Song nodded obediently. Although he was confused as to why Xu Feng, people from outside their village cared so much about the corpses of his village members, he did not ask any further.

Xue Song did not want to disappoint their savior's wishes. His respect for Xu Feng rose so high.

“I sometimes can't follow your mind.” Huo Tin sighed as he watched Xue Song's departure, the young man seemed to be more complicated than his perversion.

“Every martyr's life is precious, you will never be able to appreciate it as long as you haven't experienced it.” Xu Feng muttered the famous sentence he had heard first on the internet, he felt wise for a moment.

“Hahaha every martyr's life is precious well.” Huo Tin laughed dryly, he fell into deep thought. He tried to interpret Xu Feng's sentence.

Not long after, Gao Gao and the others followed. When he heard what happened from Huo Tin's mouth, everyone looked at Xu Feng in astonishment.

“I told you! You guys don't trust him too much!”

Gao Gao sneered from the side and pointed at Xu Feng, he was annoyed if anyone did not trust his brother completely. Is it hard to trust him?
