Ch.77 - Preparing for Departure

The night passed and Xu Feng who was busy practicing swordsmanship in the Villa courtyard was visited by Ding Xiang and mentioned that they had a guest. It was Zhao Quan's man.

“Sunday senior Xu Feng!” The messenger clasped his hands together and looked at Xu Feng respectfully. In the army there were already rumors regarding the mysterious Sixth Stage swordsman who suddenly appeared and helped them stop the intruders. The bearer of this message knew that the mysterious swordsman in question was the young man in front of him.

He then carefully handed a wooden box wrapped in cloth and a letter to Xu Feng before politely asking for his resignation. He should return to the army as soon as possible.

After the departure of the messenger, Xu Feng first opened a letter from Zhao Quan. There should be something important going on for the old man to send him a letter.

“Finally some good news.” Xu Feng sighed as he read the contents of the letter. The contents were very simple, Silver Moon City and Fallen Leaf Town had agreed to each send troops to the border with the aim of flanking the Black Stone City which was in the middle of the two cities.

This way, they could restrict the enemy's wiggle room.

As for how they could communicate with each other and make decisions this quickly, Xu Feng was sure they were using some mysterious tool or technique to be able to communicate over long distances. Only this can explain it.

“Will there be a war?” Ding Xiang also read the contents of the paper and inevitably asked Xu Feng in a worried tone. The border area was indeed a place filled with chaos but war almost never happened, especially this time the scale of the war was so large.
