Ch. 67 - Two Core Elders

“You..” The two experts examined Xu Feng carefully and were immediately dumbfounded when they realized Xu Feng's cultivation base. They from the beginning did not care about Xu Feng's existence because it looked like an ordinary young man so neither of them even bothered to judge his strength.

“Chairman Zhao, he..” One of the experts turned to Zhao Quan, there was doubt and confusion on his face.

“As I said, he's no ordinary kid. ” Zhao Quan secretly chuckled when he saw the expressions of the two experts and started introducing Xu Feng to them.

“Where did you pick up this kid from? He's not your student, is he?” The two experts dragged Zhao Quan aside and whispered various questions, they were a little envious of Zhao Quan's luck who first discovered Xu Feng.

Zhao Quan on the other hand laughed happily, he was even a little arrogant and raised his chest while mentioning that he and Xu Feng had established a good relationship.

“Hahaha.” The two experts laughed blankly, they would not be carried away by Zhao Quan's nonsense. Upon learning that Xu Feng was not a disciple of Zhao Quan, the eyes of the two experts emitted a slight glint, they felt like they saw a great opportunity.

“Don't dream!!” Zhao Quan realized the intentions of the two and immediately cut their minds quickly, himself had even been trying for the past few days to persuade Xu Feng yet the boy said that he currently did not need a teacher.

“Chairman Zhao, how can I know before trying it?” One expert sneered inwardly, he thought that Zhao Quan was just trying to stop them from snatching Xu Feng out of his hands.

“You try it then.” Zhao Quan smiled slightly, he was too lazy to explain any further. Zhao Quan already understood Xu Feng's character well, he was aware that the child was typical of principled people, not easy to move the decisions he had taken.

Xu Feng's mouth on the other side twitched slightly, he could hear the conversation of the three people clearly. It seemed like the three old bones had forgotten that Xu Feng was at the Sixth Stage, their small whispers sounded extremely loud in Xu Feng's ears.

They need to get it done as quickly as possible before the troops arrive in order to avoid any rivals who might become more numerous. After all those army leaders were unlikely to let Xu Feng off as well.

“Eld Zhao, can you shut up for a moment?”  The two experts were slightly annoyed at Zhao Quan's laughter, they felt like they wanted to hit the old bone.

“Ohh.. You guys even directed your frustration at me yah?” Zhao Quan smiled slightly and teased the two experts.

“Hmm.. You two old bones want to beat me?” Zhao Quan raised his eyebrows and did not budge, he continued to tease the two. Zhao Quan rarely found an opportunity like this, he naturally would not let go of the opportunity to play with his two old friends.

“Junior Xu Feng, I advise you to stay away from this old man, he is very bad and always unlucky in his life.” One of the experts spoke, he tried to demonize Zhao Quan's image.

“Haha.” Xu Feng scratched his head and laughed awkwardly, he was honestly thinking hard to figure out a way to get out of this situation, Confused, confused, Xu Feng then simply apologized and mentioned that he for the time being really had no intention of looking for a teacher.

Zhao Quan, the two experts and Xu Feng then shifted the conversation and focused on the events that were happening in the Black Stone City while waiting for the arrival of the troops. Due to the large numbers, the troops moved very slowly, it took almost an hour before the troops arrived at their place.

The person leading the team was two middle-aged men in white robes, on their chests a green Eagle symbol with trees behind it, evidence that the two people were from the Forest Eagle Sect.

They were both two of the three Core Elders of the Forest Eagle Sect, their strength was at the Eighth Stage, which was equivalent to the Patriarch of a large family in Fallen Leaf Town. Other than the two Core Elders, there were three more Outer Elders of the Forest Eagle Sect, each of whom was at the Seventh Stage.

“Greetings of Elder Yang Meng, Elder Gong Heng!” Zhao Quan and the two experts cupped hands and saluted as the two Core Elders descended from the carriage and approached them. Xu Feng stood behind the three along with Zhao Jun and the bodyguards, they also cupped their hands respectfully.

“Zhao Quan, what happened??” Elder Yang Meng realized the seriousness on the faces of Zhao Quan and the other two experts, he immediately asked cautiously.

“Everything went bad.” Zhao Quan spoke gloomily while explaining what happened in the Black Stone City. Hearing Zhao Quan's words, the expressions of the two Core Elders turned dark, both of them did not expect to hear such bad news.

Everything happened outside of their expectations.

“Where is the person who brought that information? I want to meet him personally.” Elder Yang Meng asked.

“They are already on their way to here.” One of the experts spoke. He mentioned that since this news was urgent and important, he immediately left them and and hurriedly came here to deliver it personally.

“Then we need to stop at this place while waiting for their arrival.” Elder Gong Heng gave a suggestion, his face was extremely grim.
