
There is a ramp named Emen in North Bandung, West Java. For the people of Bandung and surrounding areas, this climb is one of the deadliest streets. Almost every year, there are always severe incidents happening in this place. That said, Pamuk Emen is haunted by a curious spirit that causes all the events and incidents that occur there. The climb that connects Subang and Lembang Bandung area, is believed by people who often pass it as a sacred climb. Legends and myths surrounding this climb also complement the awesomen's climbing.
According to the story, some riders who used to pass the ramp must have experienced the vehicle suddenly stopped after crossing the ramp. However, when checked there are no problems from the engine that can cause a vehicle crash. Not infrequently also the legend tells, when examining the engine most riders then possessed a delicate creature. Not getting there, most cases occur because when crossing the derivative after the incline, the vehicle brakes suddenly blong without cause. Residents then suspected the climb was a haunted ramp. Some of the survivors later recounted the mystical experiences they had. A driver who survived one of the events that occurred there told of his experience, while crossing the ramp that was there, a car at high speed from the opposite direction as if it was about to hit the vehicle it was driving. Seeing the danger that was in front of him, even though he did not have time, he tried to slam the steering wheel, so that his car rolled and hit the cliff that was there.
The number of creepy stories that develop after the incident, making some myths created from the incident. One of them said, if you ever do a hit-and-run that ends in death, either against humans or animals, then before burying the victim, you will definitely experience events when passing on the Pamper Emen. That said, all the events that have occurred in the climbs of Emen are caused by the subtle creatures of the inhabitants of the street. The creature was the spirit of an old man who had died there. The name for the climb is also taken from the name of the person.
Even so, there is another story that can also background this. The legend goes that in the 1960s, there was a cargo driver named Emen. He was a very brave driver. One night, Emen is assigned to transport a cargo of salted fish from Bandung to Subang. Accompanied by the relentless smoke billowing from her mouth, Emen drove his cargo car on that silent night. When crossing the ramp on the road, Emen's car experienced an incident. The car overturned, rolled around, then caught fire. Because it was late at night, the road was deserted, no one was on the scene except for Emen. As no one helped, and Emen was trapped in his car, his life was not saved after a fire burned him alive. The next day, people gathered at the scene after discovering Emen's charred body burning. Since then, many incidents have occurred right at the scene of Emen's death.
