This is my experience story. Oh yes, my real name is Nadya Donna Putri. This story I experienced six years ago, when I was in 8th grade and had just moved to this city, Bandung. This is the story.
August 2008
I am hungry tonight. I saw the saji hood at the dinner table and lifted it up. There's no side dishes. Then my mother called me. “Adek (my call when at home), please buy chicken satay at the satay shop near the Elok” minimarket
“Self mom? Adek fear! It's night!”, I argue.
“No, later the same Mas Aji yes to there by car”, said my mother.
“Iya bu”, I replied.
Mas Aji is my older brother. Hairy but neat. When I stood beside him, my height was only as high as his. Indeed, my brother is tall and I am short. My brother immediately took his glasses, wallet, car keys and residential gate keys (every day starting from Maghrib, Maghrib, our residential gate was padlocked by a guard pack and we had to open the gate ourselves because the guard pack went home not too far from this housing). My brother also has the same talent as my father, can feel the existence of supernatural beings and can sometimes hear their voices. After getting ready, we headed for the car. Get in there and leave immediately.
Then went my brother and I to where the saturator was. Not too far from my house. Minimarket Elok is approximately 500 meters from my house. Near the minimarket, there is a fairly long tent and behind it is an empty land overgrown with shrubs and some dense leafy trees.
Mas Aji parked his car to a shophouse near Minimarket Elok. Mas Aji and I got out of the car and walked to the tent.
When we got to the tent, we sat facing each other on two long benches. Today's buyers are pretty quiet. There was only us, a hooded mother and a father. I chose the bench behind which was empty ground, while Mas Aji chose the bench that turned his back on the highway.
“Pak, order chicken satay 30 skewers, seasonings and pickles separated”, message my brother.
Then we wait for our order. At that moment, I was pensive. This place is so quiet, isn't it? Maybe because it was night. I got a hunch that made my hair stand up. This place seems too quiet. Maybe something will happen. Ah, this is just a hunch. When I finished feeling that way, a voice sounded.
“Sini... Here...!!!”
I heard a woman's voice in my right ear. I looked to the right, no one. I looked back, just an empty land. I looked ahead, my face pale. I wanted to say and ask what I heard to my brother.
“Ti... It's okay mas”, I replied a little nervously.
I can't tell you. Like someone was holding me back from saying it.
Finally our order was completed. My brother paid for it and we went back to the car to get home.
On the way home, while driving, my brother looked at me and said something. “Adek was whispered to women yes?”
“Hah! Why does Mas Aji know?”, I wonder.
“Dulu Mbak Lati (my sister who is female) was also once whispered in that place”, he replied.
Oh yeah, I remember. My sister also has the same talent as my father and my older brother. Meaning with this happening, I also have this talent.
“Why is Mas Aji not whispered?”, I asked.
“Because I'm a boy. Usually the one who is whispered in that place is female, replied Mas Aji.
And when I got home, Mas Aji told Ms. Lati.
“Oh, adek was also whispered yes? Mama used to be like that too. But only once”, said Mbak Lati.
After I experienced this, I promised to strengthen my faith and would not be easily pensive.
