The darkness of the night makes my hair bristling. Especially here there are no residential areas at all. There was only a vast expanse of wheat fields. The nearest town from here is Bomont which is 30 kilometers north.
The thing is, my car's on strike right now, and I can't fix it. I've called a mechanical acquaintance, and he can only come tomorrow. So I have to sleep in this SUV.
“Please! Please!” Mungin just an hour my eyes closed. There was a voice asking for help from a woman who was knocking on the glass of my car repeatedly. I'm worried, there may be criminals around here. Carefully, I peeked out the window. I have a fruit knife sharp enough for self-defense. If it is needed.
My eyes widened when I saw a blonde girl lying unconscious on the left of my car! He was the one who was screaming for help. I opened the door and approached the girl. His position was tilted, so I stretched his body carefully.
“Miss. You okay?” I said, patting her cheek softly. I hope he wakes up soon. “Miss. You okay?” my ul.
“Arghh,” erang the girl, when it started to wake up. His eyes opened again, and moved until he only found my face. He was surprised to see me, and tried to get away from me. However, after his consciousness began to return completely, he then hugged me instead. “Please me! Helpme! I just ran away from Jessie! He blamed me, and was about to beat me up!” erang the girl, scared.
“OK, Miss. Okay. Calm. I was right here. Tell me who you are, and who is Jessie?” I said, trying to calm him down. This girl was still hugging me, with her face taped to my chest.
“Ak-I'm Abby Hart. Jessie is the one who bothers us a lot! He just keeps forcing us to be evil like him!” raung Abby's. He started crying. Her tears wet my black shirt.
“Should we call the police?” my proposal.
Abby shook her head repeatedly. “No no no! We've called the police. Also 911. Jessie is good at hiding. The police couldn't find him. They even scolded us. Please. We have no neighbors to help us. It's possible that Jessie will come back later, and hurt us again!” isak Abby's.
“Good. You want me to take you home? I can escort you home. There you can take cover while calling the police if anything happens,” suggested.
“But I don't want to go home! What if Jessie came back after you left!” raung Abby's.
I thought for a moment. I must admit I started to pity this girl, although the story is still not very clear. “Good. You don't mind if I sleep in your house? I can stand guard, while waiting for my friend tomorrow. Maybe he can help,”.
Abby agreed to my proposal. My SUV lock me up and I leave. I'm not worried, because the car has a special security design that makes a criminal have to rethink if he wants to steal it. I drove him on a mountain bike that I kept in the back seat of the car. He sat sideways in the frame, while I was pedaling.
Abby's house is about three kilometers from my car. It was located right in the middle of the wheat cultivation, and there was no other house nearby. Abby told me that she lived there with a friend named Wanda. Abby also told me that the house was the legacy of her parents who had died. Both of Abby's parents died four years ago in a car accident. All those stories made me feel sorry for this girl.
But what if you saw another story unfold behind it?
Abby has been sleeping in her room. I would rather sleep on the sofa in the living room. At midnight I woke up, and wanted to pee in the toilet. I passed the kitchen and saw Abby washing dishes in the sink. Spontaneously I asked her, “You haven't slept, Abby?”
Abby turned around and said, “Abby is sleeping in the room. You must not know me. I'm Wanda. I just got home from work.”
My eyes are wide! Why would Abby confess to being Wanda? Or is Wanda Abby's twin sister? But Wanda's clothes are exactly the same as the ones Abby wore in her sleep! What's the matter? Without being able to stem my curiosity, I rushed towards Abby's bedroom.
“Hey, you haven't introduced yourself,” says ‘Wanda’ in the kitchen. I disregarded.
Abby's bedroom was empty when I came to her. This makes me even more confused. After about two minutes of looking around, I went back out. I almost jumped when I realized ‘Wanda’ was already on Abby's doorstep.
“Ross?” ask Wanda. He was surprised why I just came out of Abby's room.
“Wanda?” my reply.
‘Wanda’ shook his head slowly. He said, “Why did you call me that? I'm Abby, Ross. Wanda's in the kitchen. You guys are acquainted?”
I sat still, trying hard to understand what was really going on.
“Ross?” abby asked, confused and unaware of my attitude. The girl then looked back, and said happily, “Hei. Looky. It's Wanda. Wanda, have you met Ross?” abby asked the void behind her. Abby talk to herself!
I'm moving sideways. My heart rate started racing. I was instinctively trying to get away from Abby. I was starting to get scared of that girl. I'm sure that Abby is mentally ill. It's possible that everything he told me was the result of his soul disturbance.
Abby closed her eyes for a moment, then she turned into Wanda. “Hei, Ross. I'm Wanda Clayton. Nice to meet you,” said Wanda, introducing yourself.
I can no longer hold back my fear! I ran straight away!
“Ross?” ask Wanda. I disregarded.
I ran to the front door, but it was locked. I took the initiative to get out the window, but someone hit me in the neck until I fainted!
I was overwhelmed by the tremendous pain in my head. I don't know where I am, but I know that I've been moved somewhere in this house. Maybe it's an attic. My hands and feet were tied so I couldn't move.
“You're aware? Sorry for the inconvenience,” Abby/Wanda said.
I tried to talk, but only realized that my mouth was being sacrificed. Seeing that, Abby/Wanda released duct tape in my mouth. I immediately screamed for help, but Abby/Wanda immediately punched me in the mouth until it bled! I'm grateful that none of my teeth were broken.
“One time yell, or I'll kill you!” furious Abby/Wanda.
The girl hit me in the face again, then growled hard five inches in front of me. “Don't mention that name again! I hate both of them! They always say that I, Jessie Snell, am a bad guy. In fact, they were both just as evil as they wanted to kill Cassie!” Jessie then fell silent after mentioning her last name. There was an incomprehensible look of fear on his face. But he immediately tried to remove that expression.
Now I'm starting to understand what's going on. Jessie is part of the girl's other personalities, along with Wanda, and Abby. But I can't figure out who Cassie is yet.
Not until I thought further, Jessie put the duct tape back in my mouth. I can only be quiet. I must immediately think of a plan to get out of this place.
“I have to go,” Jessie said. “Don't expect you to run from here!” he added, while leaving me in the attic alone. I'll be stuck in that place for about four days. I keep tied up, and when it's time to eat, I will be fed by ‘Jessie’, ‘Abby’, or ‘Wanda’ alternately. When Abby or Wanda were controlling the girl's body, they always apologized for not being able to help me. They said that if one of them helped me, Jessie would show up and kill me cruelly. If I have to go to the bathroom, Jessie's gunpoint must always be there as a control. I tried to fight back when Jessie tied me up. I was just out of the bathroom. Without hesitation, Jessie directly scratched a kitchen knife on my shoulder!
Once, I found a small match in one corner of the attic. With great effort, I reached it, and tried to burn the rope that bound me with it. I was lucky to escape after an hour.
With all the remaining energy I had, I planned to go out through the attic window. However, a family archive shelf was able to make me turn away. I opened some archives, and found some things that made me sigh deeply.
In the archive it is explained, that this house belongs to the Smith family. Mr and Mrs Smith have a daughter, Cassie Smith. From the age of ten, Cassie fantasized about two imaginary friends named Abby and Wanda, as well as a person she feared named Jessie. Cassie's parents, worried about her son's condition, take him to a psychiatrist named Dr. Susan O’Neil (there is an attachment to her business card.) Doctor O’Neil diagnosed that Cassie had Multiple Personality Disorder, or multiple personalities.
In the archives described, that O’Neil doctors often use hypnosis therapy on Cassie. Another way that he often uses is often called Cassie's name, when other personalities are emerging. Both ways he considered effective, and for two years of therapy, O’Neil doctor stated that Cassie was cured.
However, a few months after Cassie's recovery, the Smiths were devastated. Mr and Mrs Smith had a car accident and died. Cassie Smith was orphaned, and inherited the house along with all the other family assets at the age of eighteen. Cassie turned down a police offer to investigate the deaths of her parents, despite rumors that the car she was riding in was malfunctioning during the accident. Done it.
Now I get it. Totally understand. Doctor O’Neil is mistaken. Cassie Smith has not fully recovered from her diagnosis. The three personalities reappeared after a few months Cassie was declared cured. It is possible that one of Cassie's personalities was the cause of Cassie's parents' deaths, as both were considered to be a danger to their existence. Then they also get rid of Cassie who became the girl's original personality. Abby may be the most knowledgeable about Cassie, so she claims that this house is her home, and Cassie's parents who died she considers her parents.
I'm still weighing. Choose between helping Cassie, or directly escaping, and calling back dr. Susan O’Neil, or whoever the psychiatrist is.
I decided I'd help Cassie first. I gotta get her out of here. I'm afraid that Jessie/Abby/Wanda will first guess my plan, then run away from here with Cassie's body.
Then, like an unexpected stroke of luck, I found a P3K box in that spot. I'm grateful it's still complete, and I took a bottle of alcohol from it. After that I hid to the left of the attic door, waiting for their arrival.
Jessie/Abby/Wanda got into the attic shortly after I prepared alcohol and a handkerchief. He was so angry (that I knew right away that it was Jessie) when I found out that I was no longer where I was before. He then took three more steps into the attic. “Sials. Where's Ross!?” furious Jessie. He didn't realize I was behind him.
I ambushed him from behind. Damn, it turned out that his reflexes were much faster than I thought. He immediately caught my right hand (which was carrying an alcoholic handkerchief), and slammed me. Luckily the bottle of alcohol from plastic so it does not break, and spill the contents.
I groan in pain. I just realized that Jessie's energy is so strong even with Cassie's body is quite tiny. I haven't tried to get up, suddenly a hard kick Jessie's right leg makes my body position shifted to almost a meter. Just a groan coming out of my lips.
I must admit, my body is weak. So limp. Every day Jessie would feed me only once in the morning. This morning I have not eaten. I tried to get up again. Yet again Jessie kicked me mercilessly. And not just once, but over and over again he kicked and trampled my body until blood came out of my mouth.
“I told you, don't piss me off!” furious Jessie. “But it seems that people like you are very difficult to compromise. Maybe we should just end this,” he added, while removing a kitchen knife. No doubt, he's going to blow it into my body. I wanted to fight, but I was already too weak, so I could only give up. Maybe it's my destiny to die at the hands of a mental hospital patient.
Jessie grinned at me so much. He might still want to torture me for a little longer, but he might not. “There's the last word you want to say, dear Ross?” abugn.
For some reason, at that time there was one word I wanted to say to this monster.
“Cassie..”.
Jessie's face suddenly turned frightened. That surprised me. But after that I immediately remembered, if it was one way dr. Susan O’Neil to cure Cassie. So I repeated it over and over again, until Jessie felt uncomfortable and covered her ears.
“What are you saying?! Stop!” furious Jessie, scared. He intended to directly throw his kitchen knife at me, but it was like something was holding his hand. I was not afraid, and kept saying that name.
“Abby, Wanda, help me!” jessie growled at the other two personalities.
“We're scared, Jessie! Sorry!” reply Abby/Wanda for a moment, through Jessie's lips.
Jessie's condition gave me a chance to pick up the bottle of alcohol that had fallen off. I poured the contents on my handkerchief, and immediately pressed on Jessie's face. It wasn't chloroform, but the smell was still strong enough to make Jessie faint.
I'm win. I almost laughed because I had just escaped death. I immediately tied up the girl's body, and called for help.
One Year Later at RSJ Bomont
Ward 07. That was the lead given by the receptionist. Cassie has just been moved out of the more isolated 10th ward. And, O’Neil's doctor has allowed Cassie's relatives and friends to visit her.
Cassie's condition did show improvement, but O’Neil doctors did not want to rush to cure Cassie. He doesn't want to make mistakes like before.
This is my first visit, and Cassie herself has only really gotten to know me this time. But he said something that made me smile.
“Why do I feel like I know you? And strangely, you seem to have been instrumental in saving my life. Is that weird?” cassie said, wondering to herself.
“Yes. It was strange,” I replied, smiling.
