Lately creepy news spread in the neighborhood around my house. Already 8 bodies of teenage girls were found in different places. All the bodies had something in common, a bite wound found on their necks. Many residents think this is the act of someone who is embracing black magic and looking for teenage girls to be used as a victim. This news made many people afraid to go out at night and prefer to be inside the house.
A few days ago I noticed it. A man with a tall posture who was observing my house every night. It's been three days in a row that she's come to my house, I don't know what she's looking for.
A dark night with moonlight illuminating the view. The cold night air felt like it was piercing my bones. Crickets are unpretentious and sound as if breaking the silence of the night. In the midst of the silence of the night I walked down the dark path to my house. But how surprised I am. Again I saw the man standing looking at my house. With a feeling of annoyance, I immediately approached him.
“Sorry, it seems that if I see you always come to my house. What are you doing here, exactly?” ask me very irritatedly. He just looked at me and turned back. At first glance, I could see the color of her dark brown eyes and how cold her eyes were.
“Sorry yes, did you not answer my question earlier?” my question is getting irritated. He looked at kulagi.
“I'm looking for people. Am I wrong?” he asked back while raising his eyebrows.
“Who are you looking for in my house?” ask again.
“Oh so this is your home?” askinya.
“Iya.” Answer's short.
“Then where is Steve's family home?” ask the man again.
“Steve?” I said confused. “It looks like you're in the wrong place. Or maybe Steve was the resident of this house before me.” My answer.
“Really?” the man looked confused. “Then yes already, I go first.” He said, and then left me. I was astonished at him. To be honest, as long as I live, only this time I meet someone with such an extremely cold attitude. Although feeling very irritated, but I tried to forget it and immediately entered the house.
Today the weather looks cloudy. Clouds of clouds cover the sun. I keep thinking about that guy last night. Even I can't concentrate on the lessons that the teacher gave me at school.
Like the night before. Tonight, that guy showed up in front of my house again, and I told him that Steve's family doesn't live here. But why is he still coming too?
“Why did you come here again? Didn't I tell you Steve's family doesn't live here anymore?” ketus.
“I just want to meet you.” Answer's relaxed.
“I?” i'm rattled. Yesterday he looked so ugly to me. But why does he even want to see me now?
“Ya.” Said the man while approaching me. “My name is Zen.” He continued, extending his palm.
“I Stevany. You can call me Vany.” I answered him while returning his hand. I feel that Zen's palm is very cold. “Why are your hands so cold?” ask me about Zen.
Zen seemed to smile. “Of course, I don't know why my hands always feel cold. Maybe because I'm short of blood.” The answer.
“You anemia?” ask again. But Zen only returned with a smile. “Already.” I said while releasing Zen's hand. “But why did you come here just to see me?”
“My house is not far from here, so I just want to stop by. Anyway I also want to find a friend.” Answer Zen.
“Then we are friends only!’’ I cried while looking at him.
“By also.” Said Zen.
Since that night Zen and I became friends. Every night he would come to my house just to talk. Although he has a slightly cold attitude, but I'm sure he's a good person. That's why I made him my friend.
The full moon radiates its light after the sun sets. Like the usual day tonight Zen came to my house.
“Hai.’’ Sapa Zen while in front of the gate of my house. “Why are you dressed like that? Are you sick?” zen asked confusedly to see me wearing thick and long clothes.
“Entailah, but I just feel cold.” I answered while opening the gate.
“Then you rest. I'll go home.” Said Zen.
“No need. Anyway at the moment I feel lonely.” I tried to prevent Zen from wanting to disappoint him who had come to my house but had to go straight home just because I was sick. “Come in!” take me.
“You know what day it is now?” I looked at Zen with a faint smile after we sat on the porch of the house.
“Of course thursday.” Zen answered with great confidence.
“Then what day? Isn't it after Wednesday Thursday?” zen asked confusedly.
“Then I know that too. But today is my birthday.” Reply gleefully.
“Oh, really? Then I say se...”
“Kak Vany!” a little girl shouted from outside the gate. When I looked, it turned out that the little girl was the daughter of my neighbor's child.
“What's up?” approached her.
“Princess told to ask for onions with mom. You're home Princess Bawangnya is up.” Said the little girl with her sweet innocent face while holding out a small bowl she had brought from home.
“Wait a minute yes, let brother Vany take.” I answered while taking the claw out of the little hands of the Princess. After that, I went into the house to pick up the onions in the refrigerator.
Shortly after, I came out of the house carrying a bowl that had been filled with onions. Zen looked astonished when he saw me who was covering my nose. Especially when Zen saw my face that looked increasingly pale, he looked worried.
“Kak Vany hurts huh?” asked the Princess while looking at my face.
“Yes, it seems like at this time brother is not feeling well.” I answered while giving the bowl I brought to the Princess.
“Still brother Vany. Princess go home first, yes.” The princess said as she walked towards her home.
Suddenly my vision became blurred. I felt very thirsty. Unknowingly, I pulled the Princess' hand quickly. I feel like I want to bite his neck to suck Princess' blood so my thirst goes away. The princess looks so scared, but I don't care. All I thought about was that I had to suck his blood to drink.
“Vany, what are you doing? Didn't you see that what you did made this kid cry?” ask Zen. But I didn't pay attention to it. I kept trying to bite the neck of the Princess who was trying to fight back to get away. Seeing that, Zen immediately pulled the Princess to make her escape from my grasp. After successfully escaping the frightened little girl immediately ran towards her house crying.
“What happened to me? Why can I do this?” I ask you who don't believe what I've done.
Suddenly, Zen pulled and bit my hand. I could feel the excruciating pain when Zen bit my hand. Unable to endure the pain, I tried to pull my hand.
“You're the one I've been looking for all this time.” Zen said with bloodied lips after removing my hand from his bite.
“What do you mean?” I was confused while enduring the pain.
“You are the descendant of the Steve family I've been looking for all this time. And tonight too, I will kill you to remove the curse that is within me.” Zen replied with a sinister face.
“K-why k-k-you want to kill me? ” many of you are starting to feel afraid.
“Because your father was an origin vampire who gave me a curse so I had to live life as a vampire outcast.” Said Zen.
“V-vampire?” I murmured in my heart for not understanding Zen's words.
“Do you know what it's like to be an outcast vampire? It feels so tormented. I could no longer walk in the sun and was always hungry and bloodthirsty. And even worse, my body would be damaged if it did not drink human blood.” Obviously Zen.
“So you killed the teenage girls?” i guessed.
“Yes, you're smart. But it's too late to realize it.” Said Zen. “But you take it easy, because tonight, it will all be over if I kill the last descendant of Steve's family. And that person is you Vany.” Connect again. Suddenly Zen took out a cross-shaped knife wrapped in a dark blue cloth that had been dull.
“A-what is it?” ask me with lips and hands that feel vibrating.
“This? It's a knife made specifically to kill vampires. And I'm sure this knife is also capable of killing you.” He answered while pointing the knife at me.
“Stop!” I shouted trying to stop the knife that was pointing at me.
“Just relax Stevany, this won't hurt.” Zen said with an angry and happy face. He continued to point the knife until the tip of the knife approached my chest. “Goodbye Stevany.” Zen said with a creepy smile.
“No!” I shouted while trying to fend off Zen's attack. I accidentally pointed the knife towards Zen until it hit his stomach to stab him. “Ma-forgive me.” I said with great regret.
Zen looked very angry. But suddenly his face turned into the same Zen I knew as my friend all this time. “I-this is b-not your fault. I-I'm the wrong one. L-l-lgi anyway, k-you j-also t-have freed a-me d-from the curse even though in the end I was the one who died.” Zen replied in a disjointed voice.
Zen's body looks like burning paper. Slowly his body turned to ashes. “Thank you for being my friend." I saw his face exuding a sincere smile until it completely disappeared. All that remains is ashes now scattered like snow.
