SHORTCUT ROUTE

I'm Elis. I'm a public college student in Bandung. Having fun may be my hobby, listening to music trends and to the entertainment place to just shake the body with friends, we often do every week. But I didn't expect, not everything we've been through is fun.

One day my friend Erin invited me to refreshing just to unwind with campus tasks. He invited me to go to Jakarta because there was a live party in Senayan. We also drove to Erin's car.

Long story short, after having fun until 2 am, we went home. In the car were just the three of us, I was sitting in the back, Erin was driving the car, and Cindy was sitting in the front beside Erin. My eyes are heavy, but Erin won't let me sleep.

Seeing that the road to Bandung is quite crowded, Erin took a shortcut, not through the Cipularang toll, but through a regular road that passes through the Cianjur area. Small conversations occur during the trip, making the cold atmosphere a little warm.

Until after quite a distance, Erin suddenly stopped her car. He then went down and headed for a small stall. I don't know exactly where we stopped. Not long after, Erin returned to the car. When I asked, it turned out that he had asked the way to Bandung, because he first went through this shortcut.

Erin guessed the road until the car went into a street that was left and right very dark. Hardly any other car passed through that road. Drowsiness suddenly disappeared, when we all equally pay attention to the road, looking at the right left of the road, who knows there is a guide plate. But nil, there is no clue at all, only a quiet street flanked by shady trees.

I also opened the map on my phone. I made the route to Bandung, and I was a little relieved, when the path was right. The blue dot on the map moved along with our car which was also driving. On the map is a straight street.

"Straight on Rin!", I said from the back seat, until Erin stopped her car because in front of us there was a forked road.

When I looked at the map, there was clearly only one way. I'm careful again, obviously, there's only one straight path. We looked ahead, no cars passing by. The direction of the left road only visible dark road to the forest, and on the right there are some lights that light up.

When we were all confused, suddenly there was a woman walking from the left side of our car. The woman was wearing a kebaya while carrying a carrying padlock, like a herbalist. Erin drove her car slowly after the woman, then she opened the glass and asked.

The woman smiled without saying a word. He just pointed the way to the left. But somehow I feel unsure.

"To the right of Rin! There are many, many houses" I said.

Erin had a chance to argue with me, until finally after I convinced her, she followed my advice.

We felt relieved when we saw the homes of residents, there were even supermarkets and ATMs that we know. The car continued to go, but it turned out that the city was not long. In just a few moments, our car came to a dark street atmosphere filled with shady trees. The road is getting smaller, now it can only be for one car.

Erin asked to convince again, is this really the way? I hesitated to answer. I looked back at the map on my phone, and the blue dot of our position did not change, remaining at the last position when we had met the two branches of the road. My feelings are mixed. I saw the clock was almost showing at 3 in the morning.

The car continued to go slowly, until in front of a beam of light. The light is getting closer. Huh! A big truck is in our lane! Spontaneous Erin slammed the steering wheel into the side of the road and our car stopped.

Suddenly Cindy pointed to the outside left of our car, patting Erin on the shoulder. When we look there... OH MY...!!! There are dozens of tombstones embedded. It turned out that our car was mired in a Chinese cemetery. Erin continued to press the horn for the truck to pass quickly. We all panicked. I told Erin to leave quickly, because from the grave there were many figures standing while looking at us, and slowly walking irregularly towards us. The spirits in the grave had already appeared, and I could only cry.

Suddenly a face appeared from under the seat of the car. The face of the woman with the lips torn and gaping, I can only keep my mouth shut. Erin stepped on the gas when the truck passed, and we quickly followed the road somewhere. Cindy kept calming me who kept crying.

Until finally seen a sign plate with the inscription "Cianjur", the atmosphere was suddenly crowded. We stopped at a supermarket. We took a break while buying drinks.

I checked the map again, and the blue dot was in our position now, which is Cianjur. I tried to widen the map, and when I saw it, I thought that my guess was correct. If only we had passed the left road, it would have ended up in the Queen's Port.
