Is this again just a coincidence?
When I asked my father if he knew where Nicholas' address was, he said yes. A few days ago, exactly after he met me at the hospital, Rizki took my father to visit Nicholas' house. They deliberately went there to visit Nicholas who had a traffic accident a few weeks ago. He was seriously injured due to the accident.
When my father and I came, the man who worked as a lawyer and lived alone happened to be sitting on the porch of his house. I remember very well the first impression when we came face to face, he looked at me from top to bottom as I looked at him from top to bottom. The difference was, I looked at him because of his appalling condition. Next to his feet were casts and he walked with the help of a stick. And I can guess what he saw of me: a young woman in a state of great pregnancy with a man who was almost sixty years old and was known as a mating. Dare to bet, she must have thought that I was the wife of four men who were visiting her house.
"My son, Inara Satria," said my father introducing me to the man named Nicholas.
Practically, the man's mouth was round O perfectly. "Nicholas" he said, sticking out his right hand without moving much, as he clamped the base of his wand under the armpit.
"I'm Reza Dinata's wife" I said. And it keeps Nicholas' eyes round - as if the world paused for a moment for him who is lying low. I also cleared my throat. "Can we sit down?" my many. My legs can be cramped if I stand too long with my big belly.
He nodded spontaneously. "Please say it." While he himself stood up and said, "Before a minute, I'll get you a drink."
"No need," I'm - flat. "Sorry, we don't want to be troublesome."
I think that if there was a housekeeper in the house, of course Nicholas just called him from outside, he did not have to bother to go into his house, so I prevented him, it was not good to bother him to take a drink and carry a tray while he himself was troubled with his feet which were still plastered and walked with the help of sticks.
"I had a chance to meet Kayla before I came here" I said, starting a conversation. "So... Kayla told me about you. Is true... You... who impregnated Salsya?" My eyes spontaneously closed for a moment. "I'm sorry, I mean.. Are you really Aulian's biological father?"
Huft....
Really, I was wrong to talk. I didn't do that on purpose so it made the atmosphere more tense because of that sensitive chatter. But Nicholas nodded, admitting that Aulian -- likely - was his biological son.
You know, in my heart I'm very angry. Because, this is like a repeated story even with a different story. But it was Nicholas' behavior that helped Salsya and took advantage of her - inevitably reminded me of my father's past, the moment where my father made Rhea his mistress and she cheated on my mother's back - - after she helped the street woman* was divorced from her husband first. Yeah, it's a story in the same situation, albeit in different story packs, and in different eras.
I want to scream, "Woi, the crooked-nose messengers! Your newly divorced clients, they're not victims! Don't take a chance in narrowness, asshole!"
But it's a public secret, isn't it?
This is even an example of a true story. My own father did just that, he who was a dapper, Rhea who walked*, me and my mother who was the victim, Ihsan, a poor four-month-old baby also had the heart to leave: Ihsan: WITHOUT WAGE.
Brutal, right?
