Felix leaned his back straight on the back of the wooden chair he was sitting on. Immediately after explaining who the two beautiful women who suddenly appeared in his apartment early in the morning to Jane, he, Felix dragged his brother and sister to a cafe not far from the apartment to talk to them.
In contrast to Felix who looks lazy and upset, Helen Setiawan looks relaxed while sipping her morning espresso slowly and with an elegant gesture. While the youngest, Kaylee Setiawan, was seen enjoying a piece of tiramisu cake without making a sound.
“So you're actually married to the only daughter of the CEO of Chandra Corporation?” finally Helen who first started the conversation after avoiding the cup back on the table.
“Iya,” Felix replied briefly as he straightened his back, reaching for his latte cup.
The eldest daughter of the Setiawan family laughed softly as she looked at Felix with a look of disbelief. “Wah, I did not expect that you inherited the nature of Papa,” he said, which then made the hand of Felix who was just about to bring the cup to his lips stopped and hung in the air. Instantly the young man's face hardened.
“I'm different from him. Never equate me with Papa" Felix said in a cold voice.
“Hmm, okay, okay. You are not the same as Papa. It's just that I remembered her when I saw you now. I mean, look at me. Because Papa I married a CEO with a cold personality like Jonathan. I thought you were going to be different. I don't think your way of thinking will be the same as Papa's, and you'll marry an ordinary girl or maybe find your lover who–” Helen's words didn't get passed on because Kaylee immediately nudged her arms strong.
Helen frowned and turned to Kaylee. As soon as she saw the facial expression that her little sister was showing, Helen instantly understood. “Ah, sorry. I'm not going to talk about it anymore. I just feel surprised because you are married to the daughter of the only owner of a large company like Chandra Corporation.”
Felix took a sip of his latte and put his cup back. He then turned to look at Helen sharply. “Listen, I married Jane not for that reason.”
“Really? What is the reason?” helen asked, looking back at Felix. “And also, who's the baby in the photo that's on display in your apartment? You told me about your wedding about three months ago, but you already have a baby? Are you married to Jane because she was already pregnant first?” lick Helen.
“So you already know that Brother Felix is getting married from the beginning?!” Kaylee who had just been silent listening was now shrieking in shock. She was told that her older brother was married a few days ago before she and Helen flew from Melbourne to Jakarta.
“Yes, I actually knew from the beginning. Felix sent me an e-mail complete with his invitation but he asked me not to let you know.” Answer Helen.
“Hah? Why?” Kaylee turned to Felix. “Why can't I know?!” Kaylee began to whine at Felix who was still wearing a flat expression.
“Kaylee, save all your questions first. These two sisters of yours are talking seriously,” scolds Helen, making Kaylee pursed her lips in disappointment and chose to lock her mouth while re-enjoicing her tiramisu.
Felix took a slow breath. “Aiden is not my son.”
“Oh, so his name is Aiden? Nice name.” Helen smiled, then she put her body forward and folded her hands on the table. “If Aiden is not your son, what does Jane–” mean
“He's not Jane's son either.” sidelines Felix.
Helen looked to be frowning. “You mean?”
“We adopted the child.” Felix replied while staring at Helen flat.
“Why?” the frown on Helen's forehead became increasingly clear.
“No special reason. We just want to autopsy the child.” Felix replied still with the same flat expression on his face.
Suddenly Helen showed a look of surprise while rewinding her body slightly. “What don't-don't Jane can't–”
“No, sis. Don't assume anything weird. There is nothing wrong with Jane, and my marriage with her is fine too.” Cut Felix while looking at her older sister was upset.
“Hmm so yes. But, why did you marry her?” ask Helen again. Felix held his head in frustration for a moment, bemoaning his fate of having an older sister as chatty as Helen.
“I just feel like there's nothing more I should think about. I've fulfilled my dream, so all that's left is to find a wife and build a family. Anyway I'm alone here, you're in Melbourne and Kaylee's in New Zealand. By getting married, I am not alone anymore, right.” Felix replied at length.
“You love him?” helen asked as she looked at Felix. Kaylee, who had just looked down and focused on her food, stared at Felix, waiting for his answer.
Felix's mind floated on the scene last night, when he said the word love to Jane for the first time. “Of course, she's my wife.” And Felix unconsciously smiled remembering it.
“Wah,” Helen dumped her back onto the seat backrest. “Kaylee, did you see just now? He just smiled. Well, I became jealous of your wife.”
Felix laughed softly at the praise from his little sister. She was relieved, and it seemed that her brother and sister liked Jane. And she felt a little guilty for hiding her marriage from Kaylee.
Seeing her unusual younger brother laughing and smiling freely made Helen feel happy, she could not hide her own smile. “It is good that you are happy with your own choices. All this time your life has always been arranged and suppressed by Papa, I'm glad to see you can be free like now. But, I'm really curious, won't you regret not looking for that girl first?”
The smile on Felix's face disappeared, and Kaylee nudged Helen's arm.
“I did say I won't discuss it anymore, but I'm really curious you've forgotten him or be–”
“I've forgotten it,” cut Felix firmly. “What happened between him and me is over, brother. He has been a lesson in my life. From now on I will only keep what is already mine as good as possible, and will not make the same mistake a second time.”
Kaylee and Helen looked at Felix fixedly, then a wry smile was imprinted on his second face. They were happy to know Felix was happy with his nose, considering that what their only brother had been through was very heavy. Helen just hopes Felix does not force himself to regret his decision someday. And at the same time, Helen also hopes that Jane is the right person for Felix. Helen really wished they could live together forever and only death could separate, not anyone else.
Helen reached out her hand and slapped Felix's hand on the table. “Good. That's the answer I expected from you. You have to live your life well, Felix.”
Felix smiled faintly and nodded slowly. Helen then glanced at her watch. “I think Kaylee and I should go back to the hotel right now. Ah but, is it alright for you to take us away and leave your wife just like that at home? Me and him haven't even chatted.” Helen asks considering Felix immediately pulled herself and Kaylee out after introducing them briefly to Jane.
Felix took a sip of his latte and replied lightly. “I've never told you anything about you guys to Jane. Later if there is time we have dinner together, do not forget to invite Jonathan also.”
Helen nodded slowly. “Good. By the way, what color does your wife like?”
Felix frowned, trying to rotate the brain and remember what color Jane often used. “Hmm, it looks like lilac or peach,” the answer is a bit doubtful. “What's the reason?”
“No, I just want to send her a wedding gift.” Helen took a sip of her espresso which stayed a quarter until it ran out, then smiled with satisfaction.
Felix who was watching him showed an expression of dislike. “Reduce drinking too much coffee, brother. Take care of your health.”
Helen ignored Felix's worried expression and flicked her hands in front of his face. “Let's just relax, I'm taking good care of my health. I have an appointment tomorrow to meet with Mark.”
Felix scrunched his forehead. “Mark? Brother is sick again?”
“No, just regular check-ups. The operation I ran last year worked well, but I still have to check every year, just in case.” Answer Helen.
“I really hope that Helen will go to the obstetrician, not the cancer doctor continue. I also want to have a nephew,” Kaylee said.
“Kan no Aiden. Aiden's your nephew, Kaylee,” Felix said.
“Oh, yes too. Then can I play at your apartment? I want to meet my niece,” Kaylee said with sparkling eyes. They did not meet Aiden in person earlier because the tiny baby was still at the home of Jane's parents.
“Of course you can. But you have to call me first before coming,” Felix replied.
“OK!” kaylee exclaimed cheerfully while giving a gesture of respect to Felix.
“Kaylee, come on, we have to go back to the hotel now,” take Helen with us while taking her silver pouch and get up. Kaylee also stood up from the chair along with Felix.
Just as Felix was about to leave the table, Helen suddenly pulled his hand. Then the beautiful woman hugged the younger brother five years from her. Felix was slightly jolted by Helen's sudden treatment. Just now she wanted to open her voice, Helen whispered to her.
“Felix, I know you're disappointed in Papa and Mama, but that doesn't mean you can just get married without telling them, right?”
Suddenly Felix stared at the words coming out of Helen's mouth.
