Chapter 22's

Today is the day Jane looks forward to in March. Especially if it's not her husband's birthday, Felix.

Unbeknownst to Felix, Jane has devised a plan to celebrate her husband's birthday with distinction today. Jane has been emptying her schedule since noon so she can shop for necessities at the supermarket. Jane also came home early and replaced Felix to look after Aiden as the young man went to the cafe earlier today.

After Felix leaves, Jane starts cooking for dinner. Since yesterday Jane was busy looking for recipes that are easy to make on the internet. After finishing cooking, Jane arranged the table on the balcony and created a romantic dinner atmosphere there.

Jane is really trying to prepare everything as best she can considering it is Felix's first birthday celebration after they get married.

Jane is also going to pick Felix up at the cafe today. So after cleaning up, exactly five in the afternoon Jane left for the cafe where Felix worked. He also took Aiden with him.

Along the way, Jane hums merrily with Aiden who also unceasingly wiggles his legs behind. The baby boy looked very carefree, as if he understood what surprise his mother would give to his father later.

“Aiden, soon we will arrive,” Jane said as she glanced at Aiden from the rearview mirror.

“Ahh!” Aiden said with a smile expanded, making Jane's mood becomes better.

Felix was already waiting for them in front of the cafe when Jane's white sedan entered the courtyard. Jane sent Felix a message telling him she was coming to the cafe to pick him up. Jane came out and waved her hand at Felix, then turned to open the back door and took Aiden from her baby seat.

Today Jane looks beautiful with a purple off-shoulder top combined with gray cotton pants. A pair of cherry-shaped red earrings are attached to both ears. While the hair looks sweet even though it is just ordinary stroked and tucked behind the ears.

Aiden who was in Jane's arms was wearing a navy blue suit. Her hair that had started to thicken was covered with a white wool hat. Looks handsome and cute.

Felix's smile grew as Jane moved closer. She immediately grabbed Aiden from Jane's arms as the girl stood in front of her, kissed her with anxiety and rubbed the tops of her baby's head.

“Aiden, why is it so handsome.” Again Felix kissed the cheek of the padlock Aiden with anxiety. Jane smiled at him.

Not lingering ignoring his wife, Felix took Jane by the hand and invited her inside.

“Come in.”

When entering, Jane was confused why the cafe was so quiet and there were tables arranged in the middle of the room. The walls of the cafe with wooden accents were decorated with white ribbons. Some of Felix's friends like Henry, Steven and others also seemed to sit casually around the table in the middle of the room.

No doubt, this must be a birthday party. It turns out that Felix's friends are having a birthday party for Felix at the cafe. Jane's reflexes pulled Felix and whispered.

“Why didn't you tell me there would be a birthday celebration here?” Ask Jane.

“Hmm, I wanted to tell you and ask you to come, but since you've already sent the message first and said you're coming here, so I didn't tell you in detail." Answer Felix.

‘Sial, what about the surprise I prepared at home? I can't possibly take Felix home when his friends have prepared a party for him,’ Jane said in her heart. If this was the case, everything he had prepared would be in vain.

“Come, Jane. I also want to introduce you to my friends.” Felix pulled the links of their fingers and smiled sweetly.

“Ah, i-iya.”

Seena was walking side by side with Daniel. They had just finished talking about the continuation of the proposal that Jane had approved at one of the restaurants near the office. This was their meeting every now and then after they started working together.

“Isn't the food here very good?” Daniel starts the conversation because Seena just locked her mouth and walked next to him.

Seena looked up and smiled, showing off her eyesmile, which instantly made Daniel's heart stop beating for a moment.

“Iya, but it's a pity they don't have hazelnut latte,” Seena replied later. The friendship between the two has made a lot of progress. Now they can talk about things outside of work comfortably. No longer as awkward or clumsy as before.

'Did he want to drink hazelnut latte?' Inner Daniel. He closed his lips, looking thoughtful.

“Daniel?” Call Seena when she sees that the young man is silent and looking pensive. "Why you?"

"Oh, it's okay." Daniel's hurry is self-controlled. She smiled faintly at Seena and began to ask, "So you want to drink hazelnut latte?"

The beautiful girl nodded. “Yes, it feels like a long time ago I did not drink hazelnut latte.”

Just as Seena's answer was, an idea flashed through Daniel's mind. “How about you come with me? I happen to want to go to my friend's cafe, I think he's selling hazelnut lattes there. After that I can drive you home.” Daniel thought this was the right moment considering that he had repeatedly failed to drive the girl home.

“Of course not. Come.”

They walked out of the restaurant, got into Daniel's car and headed to the cafe.

In contrast to the happy expression on Henry's face, Mark and Paul put on a question mark when Felix sat Jane in front of them.

The eyes of both of them were busy scanning Jane's figure with minds wondering who this beautiful girl was? Realizing that his wife began to feel uncomfortable with the gazes of his best friend, Felix raised his voice.

“Jane introduces this is Mark,” he said as he pointed at Mark sitting right in front of Jane.

Mark greeted Jane with a big smile. “Mark,” he said as he reached out. Jane greeted him and smiled awkwardly.

“And this Paul,” continued Felix turned on the youth who was sitting next to Henry on the right side of the table. No different from Mark, Paul showed off his smile as he stood up and reached out.

“My name is Paul. Nice to meet you.”

“They are my friends since school first,” obviously Felix ended the introductory session this time. Felix only introduces Jane to the two men, because Henry and Steven have met Jane so he does not need to introduce them again.

“My name is Jane, wife Felix.” This time it was Jane's turn to introduce herself, making Mark and Paul want to overestimate Jane's answer simultaneously.

“We've heard stories about you, Jane. But I didn't know that you were this beautiful,” Paul responds pretentiously.

“It's worth Felix stingy to introduce you to us,” chirps Mark who then replied sharply by Felix. Not wanting to die at the hands of his best friend, Mark turned his attention to the tiny figure on Felix's lap.

“Yeah, who's this handsome baby?” his tan while shaking Aiden's tiny fist. “What Felix will also stingy introduce you to us?”

Again Felix glanced at Mark, making the residents of the cafe that afternoon laugh, not least Jane. Inwardly the girl thanked Mark for being able to melt the atmosphere.

Aiden is now being held in turn by Mark and Paul. Occasionally Steven who has completed his task of concocting coffee, invites Aiden to play. Felix's friends seemed happy and enthusiastic about getting acquainted with the tiny baby. They also dissolve in warm conversation until Jane forgets to feel disappointed over her surprise party that she failed to hold at home.

Jane also becomes one step closer to Felix's friends. Although at first they behave silly, Felix friends are quite good in their field. For a moment Jane was wondering why Felix could have a friend a child cancer doctor like Mark, a lawyer like Paul, and also executives like Henry. If you remember, Felix's older sister also looks elegant like she is a girl from the top.

“Finally you came too, Daniel!” The conversation that was originally intertwined between all of them, interrupted with the sound of Henry's cry. The whole head was turned toward the entrance, where a young man came and smiled at everyone.

“Sorry, I'm late.” Daniel still faithfully showed off a smile as his eyes watched the entire room. But his smile was instantly lost as his eyes caught Jane's figure between them.

A beautiful girl walked behind Daniel and made all eyes turn on him. The atmosphere that had been boisterous had turned silent. Henry, Mark, Paul, and Steven wondered who the beautiful girl was. Felix frowned, trying to remember where he had seen the familiar girl's face. Jane widened her eyes in shock.

“Seena?” jane was unconscious. He recognizes the beautiful girl as Seena, his assistant and best friend.

Felix, who was sitting next to Jane, could hear the girl's voice. He glanced at Jane and Seena in turn.

‘So she's Seena?’ Inner Felix.

Others still seem surprised because Daniel does not usually bring women until finally Henry is the one who starts to open his voice.

“Who is he, Daniel?” Voicing questions every table dweller has and also questions that Daniel doesn't want to hear at all.

Daniel's expression was exactly the same as Jane's. The young man was shocked and also confused. He could not say that the girl he was currently with was his co-worker who was also the assistant of Jane, Felix's wife.

“This is Seena...” said Daniel finally, pointing to Seena. Make the girl reflexively bend the body respectfully while smiling warmly. But his smile waned as Daniel continued.

“...my wife's candidate.”
