Chapter 7's
Felix looked at Jane who seemed to be enjoying the spaghetti in front of him. He then cleared slowly.
“Jane, I have something to ask.”
“Hm?” jane said after putting the last spaghetti roll in her mouth.
“When we went shopping a few days ago, you mentioned the orphanage..”.
Really inappropriate timing. Jane who was swallowing her food immediately coughed at Felix's words, lucky he did not regurgitate spaghetti that was down his throat. But Felix did not seem to care, he continued his sentence.
“What it means–”
“In a moment,” Jane instantly interrupts this man before her. He managed to swallow his food. His hand placed his fork and spoon on the plate, then he looked straight at Felix. “Since we are married, then I will not lie to you anymore.”
The man's forehead is wrinkled, “Loying?”
Jane took a slow breath before answering. “Actually, Aiden is not my son. I adopted her from the orphanage.”
Jane knew it was very evil not to tell Felix the truth from the beginning. But this is how Jane does it. Didn't he ever say that he wanted to get a man who also loved his son?
But, will Felix be disappointed? Jane tried to read Felix's facial expression, but to no avail as the man's face remained flat and calm.
“Why did you adopt a child?” felix asked after being silent for a long time. Jane's eyes were rounded with the question that Felix was asking. It never occurred to him that Felix would ask that question.
Felix still faithfully looked at him, as if demanding the girl to give him an answer immediately. Jane knocked on the table and seemed to think.
“In addition because I like young children, because I think small children have energy that makes me feel more alive, actually. I thought for sure the men that Papa made me will not accept me if I know I already have children. So that's why I adopted Aiden," Jane replied slowly.
Felix nodded softly in response to Jane's reply. She also knew for sure that Jane had come to the meeting her father had planned, and if not for not wanting to get married where Jane might want to come to such an arranged event. A girl as beautiful as Jane would easily get a boyfriend if she wanted to.
“Ehm, I hope you are not disappointed. Although I didn't want to get married at first, and our marriage was the result of an arranged marriage, but I didn't feel sorry or anything. I'm serious,” continued Jane again, look worried look on his face because Felix did not say anything after he explained the reason earlier.
Felix shook his head slowly and smiled faintly. “No, don't worry. I'm not disappointed. Aiden is a very cute baby, I am happy to be his papa.”
Jane breathed a sigh of relief and she smiled.
“By the way, soon you will start working, right?” jane said she was changing the subject. After gulping down some water in his glass, Felix gave a brief nod.
“I think we should find a baby sitter, or maybe leave Aiden to daycare.”
“Hmm, it looks like it should be.”

Jane rested her head on the back of the chair. For a moment the girl stretched out both of her hands. His shoulder muscles felt stiff because of a day struggling with documents. Moreover, the girl was also sleep deprived from chatting with Felix until late at night, and had to return to the office at nine in the morning. All this busyness also took time with Aiden, and it makes Jane feel a little upset.
Ah, Jane misses Aiden so much. Should he call Felix? But Aiden can't babble yet, so there's no point in him calling. Looks like Jane's gonna have to postpone this one until Aiden can talk later.
A knock at the door interrupted Jane's thinking. After Jane enters, a tall girl enters Jane's study.
The beautiful girl handed over a number of maps in front of Jane. “This is the document that you must sign and submit back to the President this afternoon, Miss Jane.”
“Ah, yes,” Jane re-enforcing her body. He grabbed the document lying on his desk and took a quick look at the contents of the document.
“Is there anything else you need?”
“No. You can go, thanks.”
The black-robed girl bowed slowly then turned around. When she reached the door, Jane called her back.
“Oh yes, Seena,” call Jane.
The girl named Seena stopped and turned her body. “Iya, Miss?”
“Can you find me a baby sitter or daycare to leave the baby?” ask Jane. For a moment Seena seemed to frown, but she finally nodded slowly.
Jane thanked him once again and invited Seena to leave. He rested his back, even now taking off his chocolate blazer. He tried to relax his mind when he heard the faint voice of Seena speaking from behind his office door.
“Good day, President.”
Followed by the sound of an open door. A middle-aged man with a high posture emerged from behind the door, making Jane suddenly rise from her seat.
“Papa.”
Papa Jane walked in and smiled obliquely aware of Jane's appearance that looked tangled and exhausted.
“You're starting to get overwhelmed taking care of a child, huh?”
Jane hunchback. He was full of all the sarcastic words Papa had spoken to him. Moreover, Jane was also not in the mood to reply to the words of her father. So he just sat back and ignored his father. Papa sneered because Jane didn't respond. Though usually his daughter is always critical and does not want to give up.
“Come to home. Are you so busy that you have not visited us after coming just to leave Aiden at that time?” he said his main purpose was to visit Jane's study.
Papa's words made Jane take a deep breath. “Good, Pa.”

“Aiden, Mama's home!”
The sound of Jane's cry airs a second after she enters her apartment. Impatiently Jane took off her white heels and rushed inside.
“You came home early today,” the voice of Felix who was busy behind the pantry welcomed Jane's arrival.
Jane chuckles, “Yes, today not too much work in the office. I miss my Ainden a lot, too.”
Felix who was putting the fruits that he had just washed into the refrigerator only fooled Jane's answer. He then closed the refrigerator and turned his body around. “You've eaten?”
Jane who was taking off her blazer turned to Felix and looked up, ‘Why is this guy always asking if I have eaten what not, anyway?’
“Not yet,” replied Jane briefly.
“You want to eat ap–”
“Where is Aiden?” cut Jane down before Felix can finish his sentence. He can't wait to meet Aiden.
“Aiden is in his room.”
In line with Felix's answer, Jane immediately ran up the stairs to the second floor. Felix was a little worried to see it, but a second later a smile appeared on his lips. Sometimes Jane acts like a child, and that's very funny according to Felix.
Jane immediately grabbed Aiden's doorknob and stepped closer to the baby box in the corner. Jane could not hide her big smile when she found Aiden who had woken up and was playing her tiny hand.
“Hai Aiden, Mama's son.”
Jane lifts Aiden's tiny body and holds it. “Mama kangen so much with you all day, Darling.” Jane stroked the top of Aiden's head and held him tighter but cautious. He lifted Aiden's body and kissed her cheek. Aiden's tiny lips curled up as if laughing at Jane. Jane swung Aiden's body slowly in her carrier, making the baby curl her lips again.
“Aiden misses Mama too?” ask Jane. As if understanding, Aiden looked back at Jane's eyes with a smile. All the tiredness of Jane yawned somewhere as soon as she looked into Aiden's clear eyes. Just calm the heart.
Jane sits on a single bed with Aiden in her lap. His eyes caught the full-fledged bottle of milk on the nightstand. “Aiden, are you thirsty?”
Aiden blinked his eyes as if answering his mother's question.
“Alright, Aiden drinking milk with Mama, yes.”
“Wah, Mama's child is full huh?”
Aiden was silent in Jane's arms. Her little lips opened and the little baby yawned. It seems Aiden is sleepy now. But what happened next was completely beyond Jane's expectations. White liquid came out of Aiden's mouth. Aiden regurgitated the milk he had drunk just now.
Just let Jane panic. The entire white liquid had dirty his white shirt and single bed sheets. But that's not what panicked Jane, but the fact that Aiden just threw up.
“Felix!” the girl started calling Felix's name in a panic.
“Felix!”
Shortly afterwards there was the sound of foot rushing up the stairs and ending with Felix's head poking out from behind the door.
“What's up?”
“Aiden vomit!”
With a swift Felix went straight in and took a baby wipe from the closet. He began to wipe out the rest of the vomit on Aiden's cheeks and neck. After that Jane immediately changed Aiden's clothes that had been dirty. While Felix replaced the dirty sheets with new sheets. But it seems that the stain has penetrated the lining of his bed so that it leaves an unpleasant smell. It seemed like they had to dry it under the sun to dissipate its aroma.
Felix caught the empty milk bottle on the nightstand.
“You gave Aiden milk?”
Jane who finished changing Aiden's clothes said. “I-Yes.”
“Jeez Jane, Aiden just drank milk.”
“What? Ouch m-sorry, I don't know.”
Felix turned his head toward Jane, then he approached and was about to take Aiden out of Jane's hand. “Your table?” he realizes that Jane's white shirt has been stained with Aiden's vomit.
“So how is this? Will Aiden be okay?” jane asked without caring about Felix's words just now.
Felix took a slow breath. “It's okay. Aiden was just a glut so he regurgitated his milk.”
“Really?” Jane still looks troubled.
“Yes, don't worry. You better change clothes quickly first.” Felix takes Aiden out of Jane's hand.
“Ah, yes.” obediently Jane immediately moved to the bathroom in the main room. But his steps stopped when he saw the view of the single bed that was not sheets.
“Felix, what about the bed? The bed is so dirty like this.”
“Nothing, the aroma will disappear if dried for a while,” Felix said.
“Then how do you sleep later?”
Felix speechless. He then scratched his nape slowly, he did not mind at all how his fate would be tonight.
“Tonight you slept in the main room alone with me,” Jane said later.
Felix looked at Jane with slightly widened eyes. “A-What?”

Jane has been wearing a blue pajama suit and Felix has been wearing a white t-shirt with blue dongker trousers. The two were currently standing awkwardly on the opposite edge of the bed.
How not awkward? This was the first time they would share a room, and of course share the same bed as well. Yeah, tonight they're gonna sleep three in the same bed. The three? Right, threesome. Because there was Aiden who had slept in the middle of the king-size bed.
To drive away the awkward atmosphere, Jane took the initiative to first get on the bed. He laid his body on Aiden's left side and immediately pulled the blanket. Felix finally laid his body on Aiden's right side.
The king-size bed was still loose despite having been filled by three people. Moreover, both Jane and Felix both position themselves as far as possible on both sides of the mattress, leaving a tiny baby figure in the middle of the mattress. Jane can't lie to herself if she's really tired. It was evident from how quickly the girl fell asleep. Shortly after, Jane's sleeping body moves unconsciously toward Aiden.
Felix, who had not closed his eyes, turned to look at Jane. The girl's body squirms slightly, and Felix realizes that Jane's distance is getting closer to Aiden. She's worried that Aiden will be overpowered by Jane. To be honest, Felix doesn't like this position. What if Aiden gets squeezed?
So she shuffles to protect Aiden with her hand before Jane approaches again. But the fatal, now his face and Jane's face even become very close until Felix can see clearly how pliable the girl's eyelashes, her eyebrows are neatly arranged and her lips are shaped like a heart. Jane's sleeping face really looks really pretty.
‘Ah, what the hell am I thinking?’ inner Felix. Soon Felix turned his eyes. But then he realized something.
Why is Aiden so hot?
Felix touched Aiden's cheek to make sure, and the man immediately raised his body to sit down. His hands stretched out and he began to shake the body of Jane who was asleep. Jane, who had just fallen asleep, opened her eyes and blinked, trying to gather her consciousness. The girl was still half conscious when Felix started talking.
“Jane, it looks like Aiden has a fever.”

It's really fucked up. Soon after realizing Aiden has a fever, Felix and Jane rush to the hospital. So panicked, they were even still wearing their sleeping clothes. Things get even more chaotic when Aiden doesn't want to be laid in a hospital bed. While lying down she continued to cry loudly, leaving doctors and nurses overwhelmed to check on her. Finally Felix had to hold Aiden during the examination process. Even the man also had to sit all night because Aiden could only fall asleep in his arms.
Doctors said Aiden needed to stay one night in the hospital. If the fever goes down tomorrow morning, they'll be allowed to go home.
On the hospital bed, Felix sat down with Aiden who had been fitted with the infusion asleep in his arms. Jane who sat on the chair beside the bed could only look at them. Jane could clearly see the tired look on the man's face.
“Felix..”.
Looks like Felix was even too tired to say, he just threw a questioning look at Jane.
“You're not tired?” ask the girl again with a chin. “Your hand must be sore,” continued Jane while frowning her forehead.
Felix changed Aiden's position slightly carefully so he wouldn't wake up.
“You know... My hand even feels numb.”
“Really? How's this?”
“It's okay. As long as I carry Aiden, every day I can. Instead I was happy to see him fall asleep in my arms like this,” Felix said with a faint smile. Jane's gaze turned moody. His hands were outstretched and he stroked Aiden's cheeks slowly.
“Aiden, I am your mama, you should love to sleep in my arms.”
‘Start again, deh,’ Inner Felix.
“Don't bother Papa, Aiden. Papa's been tired of looking after you all day.”
Felix was silent to Jane's words just now.
“Sorry yes, Felix,” Jane said as she lifted her face to look at Felix.
“For what?”
“Because my son troubles you.”
‘He's also my son, stupid.’
Felix wanted to say that sentence out loud. But he's not happy to say it. He was a little overwhelmed by Jane's unusual attitude. Unknowingly, Felix's hand was about to stroke the girl's brown mane, but Jane pulled it suddenly.
“Why? Your hands are sore, huh? Here I massage,” said Jane quickly while starting massaging Felix's hands slowly. Felix was a little surprised, but then he smiled a little at the behavior of this girl before him.
