Love, Maybe

Love, Maybe
Chapter 30's

.......

The new clock shows at seven in the morning as Mark's white sedan enters the main lobby of the Grand Jakarta hotel.

After giving the key to the valet who then took over his car, Mark immediately spurred a step into the hotel.

The goal is no longer a reception desk like guests in general, but a hotel elevator. After the elevator door opened, Mark immediately entered and pressed the number three button on the panel, as if he had memorized where out of his head going. As the elevator door opened, the young man walked out and knit his way to room 307.

Just as Mark pulled out his phone and was about to make a call, the door opened from the inside, featuring a beautiful girl in a brown knee-length dress, and her long, wavy hair.

“Good morning, Winny,” greet Mark who immediately raises the curve on the face of the beautiful girl named Winny.

“Again, Mark.” say back.

Yup, the purpose of Mark early in the morning to come to this hotel is none other than to pick up Winny and take her breakfast and a walk together.

Jane and Felix decide to stop by the traditional market before going to Jane's parents' house to pick up Aiden.

In the car on the way home from the park, Jane suddenly said that she wanted to eat crab soup. Felix also accepts Jane's wishes and intends to make his own crab soup for Jane.

After parking his car in the parking lot located at the entrance of the market, Felix took Jane's hand down the market on foot. It seems that Felix has not shopped in traditional markets like this, especially Jane who never cooked either.

It was almost always Felix who did shopping, but the young man always chose to go to the supermarket considering he always took Aiden with him when shopping. Fortunately, Aiden is not with them so they can shop more freely.

Felix turned to Jane who was walking next to him. Jane's head continued to look left and right, looking amazed by the view of a variety of fresh vegetables and various marine animals that are still in the aquarium. Occasionally the aroma of snacks typical of the market hit the sense of smell of both, making their stomachs that had just filled a cup of toast and a glass of milk before exercise began thrashing to be filled again.

“You want to eat putu cake, Jane?” Felix finally made a sound after seeing his wife staring at the traditional mananan in front of them.

“Hmm? Ah, no, I'll just eat your homemade crab soup later,” Jane replied as she shook her head and smiled.

“You're serious? But if you're hungry–”

“It's okay, Felix. Let's go there,” between Jane fast while directly holding Felix's arm and pulling him to leave the store that sells putu cake. Felix smiled at his wife's behavior.

The two returned to the market by joining each other until then one of the vegetable stalls caught their attention.

“Felix, look at that..” Jane who stopped the step first made a sound.

“Bombay staff!” sahut Felix enthusiast. The two looked at each other with sparkling eyes. Yup, not wrong anymore. Onion bombay is a favorite food of both. It is difficult to find common ground between the two people who always fight around spaghetti or instant noodles until they both meet with onions.

Quickly Felix and Jane approached the tub with a pile of onions and began to look around. The aunt of the stall owner greeted them kindly and gave Felix a basket to put down his choice of onions. Felix accepted it and replied with a polite smile.

Just now he was about to sort out which good onions to cook later when Jane thrust some onions at him. For a moment Felix noticed the quality of the onions in Jane's hands before then shaking his head and starting to choose his own bring.

Just call Jane snatched. “Why did you take the others? I've chosen this one.”

“The staff you chose is not good, Jane. You should choose onions like this,” Felix said while thrusting his choice of onions.

“It makes no difference, tuh,” comments Jane while staring at the onion in Felix's hand.

“Of course different, this onion will be more delicious when put in the soup later than you chose,” said Felix did not accept. “People who used to cook must know which onions are better or not.”

Maybe Felix was too busy choosing onions so he didn't see any change in Jane's countenance.

“So you mean besides not being able to cook, I also can't choose onions properly?” ask Jane in a annoyed tone. Scars of anger began to be seen on Jane's face with the look of her eyes staring at Felix sharply.

“It's not so, Jane. But I–”

“Then I go home,” said Jane annoyed. After saying so, Jane turned around and spurred her steps away from Felix.

“Jane! Wait!”

The song 'A Sunday Kind of Love' sung by Etta James went all over the cafe, accompanying Mark and Winny who were eating a cup of tuna sandwich as their breakfast menu.

“Absolutely you had no errands this morning, Doctor Mark?” tanya Winny then sipped her warm espresso.

Mark finished his chew while shaking his head. “There is nothing more important than having breakfast with a beautiful girl like you, Winny,”.

The young man thought Winny's next reaction was to blush in embarrassment because of his dreadful sentence, but it turned out that Mark's guess was wrong. Because the next second, drawn on Winny's face was a frown on the forehead and an intimidating look. It was not the reaction Mark expected.

“Try telling me honestly, how many of your female co-workers have you eaten together and you are gombalin like this, huh?” todong Winny's.

Just now Mark was wide open to hear the words and saw Winny's probing expression that looked very funny in his eyes. “Nothing, Win. The only girl I've eaten and mixed besides you is just my mama.”

“Long.” Reply Winny slowly.

“I'm serious,” reply Mark with a smile.

Winny put down her espresso cup and folded both hands in front of the chest. Compared upside down with Mark who is now leaning his back on the back of the chair, preparing to hear a message from Winny that he believes will soon slide from his lips in a moment.

“Jeez, Mark. When are you going to be like this? Remember your age, you have to quickly find a girlfriend, you know!” And sure enough, Winny started nagging him.

“Daughter, yes?” Mark nodded to himself.

“No, no. Not a girlfriend, but a wife. Don't you feel sorry for your mom who you always stayed home alone while you were in the hospital?” ask Winny.

“Why don't you?” chirping Mark just stopped Winny's sniffle and made the girl's pretty eyes widen.

“Hah?”

“I mean, why don't you just stay at my house with my mama. Continuous stay at a hotel must be expensive, right?” Mark hurriedly corrected his words so that Winny could reach for oxygen again.

“Jeez, I guess..” Winny nodded while stroking the chest.

“You're done eating, right? If you have, let's go,” said Mark as he got up from his chair.

“Where?” winny asked as he looked at Mark with a frown.

Mark raised next to his eyebrows, “Of course to my house.”

“S-now?” ask Winny again, looking a little worried.

“Iya. It's all because you keep bringing up my mama, Win. I miss him, you know!” mark answered, blasting his lips.

“You haven't come home yet?” Winny said as he followed the footsteps of Mark who had already walked away from the table to the exit.

“It's been three days that I haven't been home and I've been seeing you straight from the hospital,” replied Mark.

“Yeah, what kind of child are you? Why even meet me instead of–”

“Beautiful Miss Winny, you just wait here, okay? I'll take my car first,” between Mark when they're outside the cafe door. Without waiting for a response from Winny, Mark immediately turned around and left.

Winny could only cluck. While waiting for Mark to return, Winny was silent while paying attention to the busy scenery of the morning city of Jakarta that he had not seen for a year. He watched the people passing by in front of the cafe until several new shops opened across the street.

At that moment, Winny's eyes accidentally saw the figure of a tall man just coming out of the flower shop that was across the street. The man looked relaxed with after training wrapped his body all he could, walking while sniffing the fragrance of a flower that covered half his face.

Although not able to see clearly the face of the man, somehow Winny felt that the man looked very familiar. The man is like....

“What are you looking at?” mark's voice asked from behind the glass of his open sedan car, which had been in Winny's presence for some time, broke the girl's daydream.

“Ah, no. I was just looking at the scenery around, it has been a year I left Jakarta and quite a lot has changed,” replied Winny as she shook her head slowly, trying to drive away a shadow that seeped in her mind.

Mark nodded slowly and immediately got out of the car. He opens the door for Winny, and they leave the cafe.
