MARANTI (FOOD OF THE DEAD)
PART 1 KEISENGAN CARRYING A TETAKA

PROLOGUES

That day my husband and I were going to visit my husband's cousin Yu Darmi. Yu Darmi is my husband's only brother whose home is still one area with me. Although one area, it does not mean we often meet. We both have our own activities, especially Yu Darmi. He was busy with his work in the market. I once visited the store Yu Darmi, it turns out the shop is quite complete and in demand. There is one employee who daily helps Yu Darmi in her shop, her name is Siti. He's a mountain boy who tries his luck in the city, his son is quite beautiful and friendly, so it can compensate for the character of my husband's famous judes and anti-social cousins.

I got information about Yu Darmi's character from my neighbor, knowing that if I live in the village, the slightest information is very easily spread by word of mouth. That was one of the reasons why I rarely visited Yu Darmi's house. I'm afraid of the wrong talk or what can trigger a conflict between us.

Finally my husband and I are almost at Yu Darmi's house. The woman's house was somewhat separated from the other residents' house, there was only one neighbor who was next to her, Yu Painem. An old widow son of one, but his son was far away living outside Java, working and settling there with his wife's son. I occasionally come to visit Yu Painem if I want to give zakat only.

Yu Darmi currently also lives alone because her two children, Yuli and Fery, have to live near her school in the city. I told my husband's two sons to come home at least once a month, to visit his rather old mother.

How shocked my husband and I were to find Yu Darmi sick in his house. His condition really dropped at that time, not to bother, the husband immediately called an ambulance to take his cousin's sister to the hospital. I contacted Yuli and Fery who were taking the exam at the time to go home to see her mother's condition getting worse.

Although Yu Darmi had already received medical help, but the handling was quite late, Yu Darmi should have been taken a few days before. Finally, the doctor gave up the disease suffered by Yu Darmi. Yu Darmi dies just when Yuli and Fery come to her room. Yuli and Fery sobbed and held the dead body of her dead mother. I embraced my husband's two bangs, I shed their tears by saying that I would promise to look after and care for them like my own son. Our cries broke that time.

Before Fery and Yuli came, the already critical Yu Darmi, who was originally unable to be accompanied by me and my husband, was finally able to be accompanied. It turns out that the condition of my husband's cousin's brother has been very critical aka being sacred death. Me and my husband alternated mentalkin Yu Darmi with the phrase thoyhibah. Yu Darmi's lips could only move slightly, her eyes were already blank at that moment. But what I can't forget until now is that Yu Darmi's hand was tightly grasping my arm. I let it go while saying I promised to take care of Yuli and Fery like my own children. Only then did his hand grip weaken .. weaken .. and weaken with the release of the spirit from the body of my husband's brother.

Happy reading this MARANTI story, hopefully useful. Take the positive side, remove the negative side.

PART 1: THE INCENSE OF CARRYING THE PETAKA

Yu Darmi is my husband's cousin. His people were known to be very strict to the neighbors, so at the time of his death not many people came to visit his house. The middle-aged woman had no other close relatives besides my husband. Automatically with the death of the woman, my husband and I are in charge of all****bizarre funeral and celamatannya management. Pity also if you have to charge everything to Yuli and Fery, two brothers and sisters of his son Yu Darmi. Let them concentrate on school and school. Yuli is a 3rd semester student majoring in psychology while her sister, Fery is still 11th grade SMK.

The funeral of Yu Darmi was prepared starting at five in the morning and finished at ten in the morning, a considerable time for the size of this village. Fortunately, Mang Karjo and Wak Giman were still willing to help dig the tomb of Yu Darmi. If you remember what the deceased did to them, of course they will not be willing to help us. The deceased had run over Mang Karjo because his pet chicken ate the grain that was dried by his mother Yuli. While Wak Giman was once publicly yelled at for burning garbage, his smoke accidentally entered the house of my husband's cousin. I pleaded with the two of them to help with Yu Darmi's funeral, they didn't seem to have the heart to see me having any trouble finding someone else to help.

Obstacles not only we face in terms of preparation to bury the body, for the salvation event as well. At first, none of the mothers wanted to help cook. Again me and the husband were moving, maybe because it was not good with us finally there were some neighbors Yu Darmi who decided to help.

"Mbak Sin, the vegetables I have just seasoned. Try a little sample!" said Lady Titi to me

"Don't me, Ma'am." My answer is confusion and fear.

"Loh ! What happened to Madam Sin?" asked the fat but beautiful woman with curiosity.

"I can't eat the food of the dead, Ma'am." Honestly answered.

"Ooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo. Yes, let Yu Mimin taste later. Now the man is still praying in the back." Said the woman who lived right in the west of Yu Darmi.

I was so relieved by his answer. Then I continued my work of eating rice. Suddenly, Lady Titi said again

"A lot of people can't eat the food of the dead? I was wondering, why?" the woman asked rather interrogatively and seemed cynical.

"Yes, a lot of mama. The reason is macem-macem like, some are dizzy if you eat the food of the dead, some are nauseous, some are so drag, and there are many other reasons." Answer me just as it comes.

"If Madam Sin herself, why wouldn't she eat the food of the dead?" search Bu Titi again. For a long time I felt uncomfortable also with the question of his wife Mr. Ramlan, but for fear he was forced to answer the question.

"Emmmmmm, if I'm because-"

"Eh, Ma'am Titi.Where are the vegetables I want to taste?" Suddenly, Miss Mimin came to save me from the blur of Ms. Titi's question.

"That's Yu Mimin, in a big crock pot." Answer Ms. Titi.

"Where are you going, Sister Sin? This is my first tea,! You must be thirsty right from the moment you stood in front of the furnace?"

I was silent like a criminal caught by the police. Ms. Titi continued her words.

"Quiet Mbak. I brought it from home. Not including dead people's food, right?"

Because it is not good to refuse the kindness of Bu Titi, I also sip a little tea given by Bu Titi placed in a bottle branded Tumhodilware, the taste of Bu Titi is very dech anyway. I don't know why there was such anxiety when the tea water got into my throat,

"Well! So dong, you should try drinking tea of the dead." Said Bu Titi while giggling.

"Mom Titi means this tea?" I was curious while looking at him, this time I was a bit angry with him.

"Yes, the tea was made here, Sister Sin. Not taken from my house." Reply Bu Titi lightly.

CENTAAAAAR!!!!

"Yes Allah ..." Hearing Ms. Titi's reply, I suddenly collapsed unconscious.

- - - - -

"Mbak Sin ... Up, Ma!" mom Titi's voice was ringing in my ear

"Where am I, Ma'am?" I was confused, while my body was flooded with sweat.

"You are in the room now. I'm sorry, Sister Sin. You passed out drinking my tea water." Replied Ms. Titi among the other mothers who were mocking me.

I remember the incident before I fainted. Yes, I had tea that I shouldn't have. And now that I'm lying in my room, it's certainly not my own. Because I'm at Yu Darmi's house. I just realized that I was now in Yu Darmi's private room.

"OH NO!!!!" my inner.

Suddenly my nose smelled the smell of bath soap, exactly like the soap that was used this morning to bathe the body of Yu Darmi this morning. I memorized it because I also bathed the body. Because of a bottle of tea earlier, I again had to experience unpleasant events like this. The food of the dead will indeed trigger my visible senses to be able to see and feel the presence of other worlds around me. It usually lasts for two or three days.

Seeing that I was awake, the mothers one by one returned to the kitchen to continue their respective duties. Fear of not kneeling maybe, because the day has begun to go up in the evening. While I was still lying on Yu Darmi's bed alone in a very unpleasant feeling. The smell of the presence of other creatures in the room, the longer I felt. I also get out of bed because I was bored with the atmosphere of the room that was increasingly not conducive anymore.

I slowly took a step outside Yu Darmi's room. When my door was about to close, I saw an unusual sight in the room. Right on the edge of the mattress I had left just now, there was a green man and a dark brown tug was looking at me. His face was deathly pale, the circles around his eyes were black, while his nostrils were clogged with cotton. Although it was a bit different from his daily life, I still knew very well who the owner of the body was, he was none other than Yu Darmi.

"YU DARMI!!!!" pekikku.

My heart was beating loudly, while my blood was sighing strongly. My body became limp for a moment because imagining that in the future, the spirit of Yu Darmi would appear suddenly in front of me, because I had violated my own prohibition, which was to eat the food of the dead.
