PART 14: IT TURNS OUT
Mas Diki with a step that has not been limped anymore because the cramps in his legs have healed, walking closer to his cousin's sister's room. Siti and I stood together, waiting for what would happen next with our hearts racing.
"The key slot's worn out, brother. It's time to be replaced" said Mas Diki while trying to close the door again but always failed. While I was still trying to scout the inside of Yu Darmi's room from where I was standing, afraid that the demon would reappear there without my husband's knowledge.
"Yes already, Mas. Let it go first, we go straight to Yu Painem's house. We'll stop by Kang Rasman's shop to buy his locket" I shouted impatiently.
"All right then. Let's get to the house next door, "cries my husband.
We immediately walked to Yu Painem's house. When we reached the front of Yu Painem's house, there was an unpleasant smell that was smelled by our noses.
"Perhaps last night Yu Painem came out of the house looking for a dead rat, huh, Siti?" I asked Yu Darmi's assistant.
"Yes maybe, Ma'am. But like the rat carcass did not meet, the proof of the smell is still antep this once," replied Siti.
"Yes, Sit. Yes, we have helped find it later, lest the fathers who last night sat outside did not want to eat not because of the glut but because they smell the scent of rat carcasses," I said again. Mas Diki looked at me like he wanted to say my words.

Three times we knocked on the door and said hello, there was no answer from within. While the smell of the carcass feels very piercing nose.

Mas Diki pushed the door, it was unlocked. When the door opened perfectly, the smell of the carcass burst into a powerful punch in our sense of smell.

"Is the rat carcass also inside?" ask Nur.

It was Siti's turn to vomit on the floor. My stomach hurts because it's all drained. At the end there Mas Diki and Nur open the curtain of mosquito nets that have been done. Suddenly I saw my son dazed and sat down, he was hysterical and so was Mas Diki.
"Astagfirullah .. sepurone Mbak Yuuuuu (sorry Mbaaaak)" cried my husband loudly.
"Budeeeeeeeeeeee ..." cried Nur.
Looking at my two hysterical men like that, I also found my strength back to approach them both.
"Don't look, Brother!" banned husband. But I forced a look and sure enough on the couch I witnessed a very horrible and disgusting sight. It turned out that the source of the unpleasant smell was not a rat carcass but the corpse of Yu Painem who had begun to rot. His face and stomach swelled like a balloon, his skin color blackened, his hair was falling out, his skin was peeling, and his body fluids were seeping into the mattress, there might already be maggots there.
"Toloooooooooooooong ..." I screamed with all my might for the sake of witnessing that unusual sight.
The surrounding residents came to Yu Painem's house after hearing my screams. Some of them carried me outside, taking me to Yu Darmi's living room. The other residents also carried Siti and Nur, my son. Only Mas Diki was still strong enough to remain in Yu Painem's house with the rest of the citizens.
In the living room of Yu Darmi, for some time I was hysterical because I was still in shock with the incident. I can't stop thinking, last night I still saw Yu Painem in front of Yu Darmi's house, but this morning I found his body had rotted in his own room.
"Who did I see last night? Why is the body rotting? Is it true that Yu Painem just died last night? If so, why is this morning rotting, like it's been dead for days. Did the one who had come to see me so often at Yu Darmi's house, not Yu Painem's physique, but his spirit?"
My head was staring at those horrible things. Siti and Nur were no less hysterical with me. Our cries still have not stopped, between the cries of sadness and fear merging into one. Seeing our condition like that, people also brought Kyai Sholeh to pray for the three of us. Thank God, after we washed our faces with water that has been prayed for by Kyai Sholeh, some time later our condition began to calm down. Kyai Sholeh told us to drink that water as well.

"Either. You should rest first, so as to quickly recover his stamina," message Kyai Sholeh.

We also calmed down in the living room of Yu Darmi accompanied by neighboring mothers.
A few minutes of rest, the siren suddenly sounded. The people present noticed who was coming. They were increasingly enthusiastic about witnessing the events at Yu Painem's house.
A short time later, I got up from my sleep intending to see the activities in Yu Painem's house. The neighbors' mothers forbade me, but I told them that my body condition had improved, so they allowed me.
I saw some medics with the help of police officers carrying orange bags from inside Yu Painem's house to the ambulance. All the watching residents covered their noses with masks or cloths. I snorted my nose to sharpen my smell, the smell of the carcass was still a bit obvious even though it was not as sharp as before. Maybe Yu Darmi's house has been sprayed with chemical liquid so that the stench is reduced. Then the ambulance left Yu Painem's house, probably to the hospital. I saw Mas Diki was inside Yu Painem's house, as if he was being interviewed by a police officer. Shortly thereafter, the police officer was ready. After the death of police officers, people mopped Yu Painem's house. The stench did not go away from Yu Painem's house, after being pushed back repeatedly, and the stench began to leave. But for some reason, the stench was like it was still stuck in my nose.
It's not good to be silent watching the residents clean the house yu Painem. I also helped even though many times the residents forbade me, because they think I still need a break.
