I was stunned when I heard Mas Diki's confession. I did not ask Mas Diki to repeat his answer, although I doubt whether it is true Mas Diki said that. There was a sense of closeness that perched in my heart when the man you love the most said that when we were together, my body that was always routine I cared for was suddenly transformed into a pocong in his view.
Not once, but twice Mas Diki showed strange symptoms during our time together. Yesterday and this morning it happened. Even yesterday I remember he was yelling 'pocong' which I thought he was just looking at wrong. It seems, the two events are enough to prove that Mas Diki did say it. But I am still a woman. As calm as I faced Mas Diki's words, it turned out that they hurt my feelings. I looked down and my eyes filled with tears. I turned my eyes to the left to reduce the pain.
"Dikc ... Forgive me, yes, if my words hurt Dikinta?" he said while still driving.
I just nodded to make Mas Diki's feelings calm. But, my guess was wrong, I actually felt more pain. My tears are flowing more and more.
"Dikc ... Sorry, Mom, huh? Yesterday Mas deliberately did not convey to Dik Sinta because Mas knew Dik Sinta would be sad if Mas told the truth. But, when the incident happened this morning and we went to doctor Tedy, Mas thought it was time for Mas to be honest with Dik Sinta before it was too late. I don't know the cause of all this. Maybe he's been having severe hallucinations. There may be a problem in my brain. Maybe Mas's nearing madness, brother. I want to get well, I think I should get checked out by a psychiatrist, Dik. Mas is afraid that if it is too late, Mas sanity can not be helped anymore," said Mas Diki at length and emotionally.
I was initially saddened to feel insulted by my husband's confession, when I heard Mas Diki say that I became sorry for him. Lest Mas Diki was right, that there was a problem in his brain so he hallucinated like that. I looked towards Mas Diki. I looked at Mas Diki's face which was like holding back a cry. The pain slowly melted and turned into compassion for my husband. Never have I seen her face so sad other than when she was left behind by Yu Darmi, her older cousin.
"Mas wants to be sane, brother. Mas want to celebrate and make Dikinta and Nur happy. I want to see Nur become a successful child. Mas don't want to keep going like this" whined my husband while driving his car.
"Mas, stop driving! Danger ...," I answered while stroking my husband's shoulder.
Diki slowly pulled over his car. Turns out we have arrived in front of TK Amanah Bangsa 03.
"Mas can't think that way. This healthy person is born and inward. Mas will continue to be healthy until old age with me," I said again while embracing my husband's body.
"No, Sister! There must be nothing with Mas's brain. It is impossible if Mas's brain is fine, Mas can see the form of Dikita Sinta changed. It must be that Mas's brain isn't okay," Mas Diki's cry broke out in my arms.
I stroked my husband's back to give him some calm. I who was initially very hurt at his words suddenly collapsed and turned around to feel unbearable with my husband.
"We're waiting for the results of the Lab check from Dr. Tedy first, huh? If there is no physical problem, we ask for a letter of reference from doctor Tedy to psi-ki-a-ter ..," I said stammeringly when mentioning the word 'psychiatrist'.
Mas Diki is the man I respect and admire the most. I really can't bear to call Mas Diki a psychiatric disorder, although a little. I'd rather feel the pain of being called 'pocong' than having to call my husband a mental patient. But, I tried to calm down so that Mas Diki was calm as well.
"Mas, already, huh? Now we focus on Bude Yati's show first. We'll talk about this later?" I said when I found out Mas Diki's condition was quite calm.
"Yes, Brother. Thank you, huh?" he answered while taking off my embrace.
"Come, Mas. It's noon! Maybe Sister Ning needs anything there?" I said to Mas Diki.
"Yes, Brother!" answer Mas Diki while starting the car.
The car drove towards Ms. Ning's house. Arriving at Ms. Ning's house we were startled by a concerning incident. Sister Ning vomited blood and made people confused. Mas Vishnu and Ikbal cried to see the condition of Mbak Ning who was concerned.
"Yes Allah ... Ma'am ...," I cried hysterically as I saw Mbak Ning in a weakened state.
"Diiiiik .. help me, Diiik .." cried Sister Ning as soon as she saw me.
"Quick get it to the car!" I shouted at the people who were there.
"We're taking him to the hospital, Mas!" firmly answer.
Mas Vishnu also carried Mbak Ning's body into my car. The back seat is deliberately lowered so that Mbak Ning is more flexible.
"Wouldn't we call an ambulance first, brother?" ask Mas Vishnu.
"We have to move fast, Mom! Sister Ning's life is in danger!" my answer.
"Come, our hunt is off!" my spoken.
Mas Vishnu, Ikbal, and Mas Diki got into the car. I saw Bu Dibyo and Mbak Srintil were there.
"Mrs Dibyo ... Sister Srintil, I keep going, yes? Don't forget to pray for Sister Ning too. This is my money for kitchen needs" I said while giving money to Sister Srintil.
"Yes, Mother. Please send word, okay? We are very worried about the situation of Ms. Ning," replied Sister Srintil with tears in her eyes.
"Yes, Mother. Please pray!" I answered while getting in the car.
The neighbors of Mbak Srintil tiled around the house of Mbak Ning to see the state of Mbak Ning. They all let go of Mbak Ning towards the hospital with a feeling of worry.
During the trip, Mas Vishnu was incessantly crying to see the condition of his wife who was weak. Ikbal was no less worried about his brother-in-law.
"Bak, Ikbal's sorry, huh? Mama has to heal. Forgive Ikbal. Ikbal promised to stay with Sister Ning!" ikbal said while crying.
"Baaaaal .." cried Mbak Ning limp as he held Ikbal's hand.
I also sobbed to see the condition of Sister Ning in front of me.
"Bal, give a drink to Mbak Ning though a little," I ordered Ikbal.
"Yes, Mommy!" answer Ikbal.
Ikbal fed the drink to his brother's mouth. Ms. Ning tried to drink the liquid given by her sister. Slowly the drinking water went into Madam Ning's body through her mouth which looked stiff.
