24. Questions From Rizwan

Rigel then grabbed a business card from inside his wallet. "It's my job" he said, putting a business card on the table.

Instantly Rizwan was surprised to see the work on the business card belonging to the man who was in the interrogation. "CEOS?" Isn't that the highest position in the company, are you the owner of the company?"

"CEO is not the highest position in the company. The highest position in the company is the president director, who is the highest shareholder and owner of the company. And that office was owned by my father."

"I don't care how rich you are and how rich your parents are. So there's no need to boast to me."

Rigel. "Didn't he just ask, but I just explained what he asked," he said in his mind.

Like a job applicant, Rigel is constantly questioned by Rizwan. The words and questions that Rizwan made were very piercing, to the point that Rigel was upset by him. But how else, even if annoyed, Rigel can not express his annoyance and anger to the man whose age is far above him. Moreover, Rizwan is the father of his pretend lover. "I never offered Lyra a large sum of money. I just found out that his family was struggling with debt when you spoke just now. I'm very sincere in her love even if she can't forget her ex-boyfriend."

"Why do you want to be in a relationship with him when he can't forget his ex-girlfriend," Axel pitched angrily.

Axel then sighed. "I knew that Lyra was not the one who would use a man just to lean on his grief. Did you use it?"

"Because I love her so sincerely, I'm willing to be her place to lean on. He has not been able to forget his former lover, therefore he is better off in a new relationship with another man so that he can soon be a jerk who has left him. Therefore I offered to be her lover, even though I still act as her backrest" Rigel explained.

Even though Rigel lied, not all of his words were entirely lying. There was one thing in her speech that was full of honesty. It's just that he can't be honest with Lyra.

Rigel's words can convince Rizwan, but the father of one child can not fully trust Rigel. Because he still could not accept any man who became his son-in-law, after his son was hurt by Daniel. Rizwan does not want Lyra to choose the wrong choice again, therefore Rizwan is very careful in choosing his son-in-law.

"Even if your words are very sincere, it does not mean that I will quickly approve of your relationship with Lyra," said Rizwan who still folded his arms on his stomach.

Rigel smile. "Then from that, I'll try to get your blessing from you."

"Looks like I should finish questioning him." Lyra pulled Rigel's arm to make him stand up. "Jay, you're asleep. Looks like you need to get her home before she wakes up."

Rigel and Lyra moved into the room. Rigel slowly carried Jayden carefully so as not to wake him. Then he took his nephew out of the room. And his steps stopped when he was at the place where Rizwan was.

"I'm sorry, I can't stay here for long, so I'm going home now" Rigel said.

"It's better that you go home quickly so that the neighbors don't have a bad prejudice against my son."

Lyra shakes. "Stop saying sharp words to him" he said in an upset throat.

Lyra then drove Rigel to where his car was parked.

"I'm sorry I couldn't get Jayden to stay at my house, 'cause tomorrow he's going to school." Lyra then scratched her nape that did not feel itchy. "As for my father, I'm sorry if his words pricked your heart a little."

Rigel smiled as he nodded. "It's okay."

Rigel first enters Jayden into the back seat of his car, after which he goes to take Jayden home in his car.

Shortly after Rigel left, Axel came to Lyra in front of the house.

"From what I heard he offered himself as your back. Is he lying? And don't tell me that she forced you to have a relationship with her," Axel poked with a look on his face that seemed to be in a fit of annoyance.

"What he said is true, so you don't have to be too suspicious of him."

"Why should he be the one you choose?"

"Why, is there something wrong with him?" Ask Lyra back.

"He is a rich man and he is also an heir of one of the largest companies in Indonesia. He might just reason to make himself your back, just because he wants to play around with you when you start to have feelings for him. Most rich men have a bad attitude."

"At first I did think in that direction, but from what I saw he was a good man of many rich people."

"Where did you see it from? You haven't known him for long."

"I haven't known him for a long time, but I can quickly see his bright side. He is a loving man, he is a man who at all times is ready to take care of his loved ones. He even sincerely loved his nephew like his own son."

"Are you blinded by it, you even just see the positive side of him and forget the negative side of him. Don't you already have feelings for him."

Lyra swallowed her saliva. "Well, do I look like that?" Lyra then rushed her legs with her legs that seemed agitated.
