36. Goodbye, People Who Have Been With Me For A Long Time

A luxury restaurant in European architectural style is the place where Axel takes Lyra away for dinner. When they landed on the chair, a waiter came to bring two steaks that Axel might have ordered before they reached the restaurant. The way Axel apologizes is quite unique, he does not issue an apology, but he does it with an action. Cutting the steak for Lyra even poured water into the Lyra glass.

After a few days of marahan, it felt a little awkward for Lyra and Axel as well. They chatted stammering like nervous people when talking to people who have not been acquainted for a long time. Even every topic of conversation that Axel made was always unclear and not understood by Lyra. To the point of making Lyra laugh when she heard it.

"What are you talking about. We've been friends for years but as we only knew yesterday."

Axel immediately scratched his neck even though it did not feel itchy. "Eitherway. Can you stop laughing at me like that" he said in an annoyed bend.

Axel then took a piece of his steak, and put it quickly into Lyra's mouth, so that his best friend stopped laughing at him.

After the restaurant, Axel took Lyra on a walk around the city enjoying the night view there. Inhaling the city air at night is quite refreshing even if it is slightly polluting, but at least not as thick as pollution during the day. Because at night people do not do much. They walked down the street in the town not far from the restaurant where Lyra and Axel ate.

Not only Lyra and Axel enjoy the atmosphere of the night there, but many pedestrians also enjoy the atmosphere on the streets.

"Since we've been busy with work, we haven't been like this for a long time. People might think that when we're dating, our relationship is just a friend."

Lyra finally arranges everything Axel has said to her, about her being angry when Rigel comes to her house, about when she gets angry when Lyra doesn't want to break her fake relationship with Rigel, and when Axel was angry when he found Lyra standing in front of the hotel. Lyra is now convinced that Axel actually has feelings that are not owned by a friend. Since Lyra has formalized her relationship with Rigel, she needs to tell her best friend. So that her best friend stops expecting something that Lyra doesn't want.

"Today I've formalized my relationship with Rigel. So since yesterday we've been legitimately lovers" said Lyra without staring.

After hearing what Lyra said, Axel's face looked sad. He seemed unexpected and he also seemed annoyed after hearing it.

"Can't you make me achieve the expectations I've been wanting for so long. Why do you always decide my wish, Lyra."

"Not decided, but you shouldn't have hope for me."

"Are you afraid that our friendship might break down because I have feelings for you."

"Of course I'm scared. We've been building this friendship for years. If we were dating and then broke up, would our relationship be the same. After all, I have absolutely no feelings for you other than affection as a friend."

Lyra ran after him. "Why should you stay away from me. You know, it's your feelings that have ruined our friendship. You shouldn't have expected more from me, so you wouldn't have this feeling."

Axel stopped his steps. "Do you think feelings can be forced. It just happened. I shouldn't have made a friendship with you or my parents shouldn't have been close to your family, so I could be someone else like Rigel. And I can make you my lover, not my best friend."

Rebellious Lyra's eyes began to stagnate after hearing what Axel said, he was very unexpected that the hope that Axel had was very large. Unlike him who does not have the slightest feeling like he has towards Rigel.

"Then, do you want us to stay away just because of the selfishness of your feelings."

"It's not selfish, but it's for our good. If I were always by your side, this feeling I have would disappear."
