53. Goodbye, Lover

Yesterday was Lyra's last beautiful moment with Rigel, which Lyra will probably never forget. Rigel Callisto is the man who will be the most beautiful memory for Lyra. A good man who has sincerity in his heart and also a man who has made Lyra happy even though only a moment is in his grasp.

In this day Lyra will release Rigel completely, both from her body and from her soul. Lyra asks Rigel to meet at a cafe not far from the office. There Lyra waited for Rigel not only alone, there was also Axel who accompanied. While holding the letter of resignation, Lyra's hands shook, her eyes slightly inundated, and she unceasingly regulated her breathing.

"What if I don't hold back my tears. Rigel would've suspected that I couldn't let it go."

Axel grabbed Lyra's hand. "I'm sure you can. As long as you talk to Rigel, you have to think and affirm your heart that the steps you take are the best for you and Rigel."

Soon after Rigel arrived, he came with his face. But when his gaze looked at Axel, his face was immediately bent in annoyance.

Rigel furrowed his brows. "Why is he?"

"Axel came with me because he wanted to be with me" Lyra forced her smile.

Rigel sighed and landed himself in the chair. "I don't care why he came with you today. I just wanted to let you know that Jayden came home this morning. What if you went to my house now. Jayden would love to see you."

Lyra thrust the envelope containing the resignation letter she had been holding onto Rigel. "I'm sorry I can't go to your house. And sorry, today I'm going to resign from the job." Lyra breathed out her length. "Because my contract is not up, then I will pay the fine for my violation."

Rigel looked at Lyra's astonishment. "Why resign? Have you got another job. If you really want to resign, you do not need to pay a contract fine. I'll let you resign immediately if you get another job."

"No, I will still pay the fine for my offence. And I'll also return the money you've spent to pay my parents' debts."

Rigel looked at Lyra. "I've never asked you to give me back the money I've spent. And I also won't accept the money you're going to give back. I am your lover and I have the right to help you. I sincerely help you and never expect anything in return."

"But not anymore. Because from now on I want to end our relationship."

Rigel fell asleep after hearing what Lyra said. He doesn't believe Lyra wants to end the relationship.

"Ending your relationship you said? Don't joke, Lyra. We love each other for what ends."

"I don't love you anymore. So we better end it."

Rigel grinned. "You lied. I can't believe you don't love me anymore. Yesterday I could see from your gaze that you love me so much."

"My reason yesterday forced you to go on a date, it's because I want to give you one last happy day before today we part."

Rigel bedecak is upset. "Sadly, you want to part with me, now I see very clearly that you still love me."

Lyra. "I told you when I didn't love you. And I also want to tell you, that I realized there's another guy I've been in love with for a long time, and he's Axel."

Rigel shook his head quickly. "I still can't believe you love someone other than me."

"You once said that there is no such thing as friendship between a man and a woman. And what you said was true, that my feelings for Axel had long since arisen in my heart. Then I can't make a friendship with Axel anymore."

"You still love me, Lyra. I reiterate that I will never allow you to end our relationship" Rigel said with an angry look on his face.

Lyra instantly pulled Axel's collar, and he quickly kissed her lip before Rigel's eyes. Suddenly Axel was shocked after being kissed by Lyra, his heart was racing, and his face immediately let out a red hue.

Lyra then looked at Rigel. "Do you now believe that I no longer love you. I wouldn't kiss her if she wasn't the one I love."

Rigel's heart also felt sore after witnessing the crazy action that Lyra did, and more painful again after hearing what Lyra said. Rigel didn't think Lyra could be that bad to him.

Rigel then shuffled from his seat. "Suckers! You crazy woman." Rigel moved with an angry look on his face.

After Rigel left, Lyra finally managed to shed her tears after a long period of restraint. His cry broke, his heart completely hurting after successfully making Rigel slip out of his grasp.

"I've hurt her heart" said Lyra as she covered her face with her palms.

Axel then clutched the body of the woman whose cry was breaking. "Ssttts. Stop crying, Lyra. You have to let it go if that's the best thing for you. If you don't let it go for what you ended your relationship with her," he said, patting Lyra on the back.

How could Lyra let it go if the separation she did was forced. Lyra loves Rigel very much and can't let Rigel go as fast as lightning. But, this is what Lyra must do even though her heart is very hurt. Both Lyra and Rigel had wounds in their hearts. Lyra is hurt by having to let Rigel go from her grasp, and Rigel is hurt by feeling betrayed by the figure of the woman he loves so much.

After Lyra stopped crying, Axel took Lyra away from the cafe. However, instead of going home, Axel took Lyra to another place. The place is a place whose scenery is quite beautiful when noticed.

"Why don't you take me home" said Lyra in an upset throat.

"When you go home, you can calm your heart and mind. You'll definitely come back crying."

If you think it's true what Axel said, maybe after Lyra came home she would cry again. Finally Lyra decided to stay to enjoy the beautiful scenery there.

And over there Lyra can calm her heart and mind a little. Although he could not smile at all, but at least his mind and heart were much better than before.

Axel smiled at Lyra. "Do you know Lyra, if you've done something you shouldn't have done to me."

Lyra flinched. "What have I done?"

"So you kissed me. You do that to the man who expects your heart."

Lyra screeching. "So, I warned you never to expect me."

"Why indeed? Wasn't that time I had cut off our friendship. And now you are no longer my best friend but the woman I must fight for her love."

Lyra. "I don't care what you say. You're still my best friend, Axel." Lyra then moved back into Axel's car. "We'd better go home now."

Axel has decided his friendship. But that doesn't mean Lyra will also break off her friendship. Lyra always asserted herself, that Axel is still her best friend and is a man she loves only limited to friends. Even if Lyra is not bound by Rigel now, it does not mean that her feelings for Rigel will fade soon.
