28. His destiny is not me

Agni continued to beg while crying, until it made Lyra unable to refuse Agni's request. The next day, after work Lyra just brought Agni to his apartment. Beautiful fancy dress given Agni for Lyra wear. The dress that Lyra wore was a dress that was ordered specifically by her mother Agni. Initially the dress is a dress that Agni will wear when later she meets the man she will be paired with. However, due to Lyra taking her place, Agni gives the dress to Lyra without her mother's knowledge.

"Have you prepared a mission to make the man I'm dating feel disgusted?" Ask Agni while styling beautiful hair belonging to her best friend.

"I'll make him feel disgusted at me, for example speaking rudely or eating pasta by hand. Wouldn't he think again to be in a match with you. But, are you sure I'll piss him off. Even if I do, but your name will fall. It's possible your name will be really ugly in her eyes."

"I don't care if my name gets ugly in his eyes. Just don't be so ugly in the eyes of the guy I like.

"You mean Ryan?"

Agni smiled."Of course he is, who else if not him I like."

In a beautiful dress and makeup that is quite stunning, Lyra went to a restaurant that was on the reservation of men who will be paired with Agni. When Lyra came, the man was not seen present at the table that was in the reservoir. While Agni, she sat at an empty table while watching Lyra up close.

Fifteen minutes into Lyra's wait, the man has not been seen. To eliminate her saturation, Lyra plays her smart phone. Lyra was too focused and engrossed in playing her phone, until the twenty minute the man came up to Lyra to make her unconscious that the man was standing next to her.

"Are you really the youngest daughter of Mr Billy Sanjaya?"

Spontaneous Lyrapun looked up at the man who was standing next to his desk. "Yes right."

Lyra was surprised after looking at the man who asked her that. He arrived made unexpectedly with a very familiar face in his sight. The man is Ryan, secretary of Rigel Callisto.

"Ryan, what are you doing here?" Ask Lyra to wonder.

Ryan sat in the chair where Lyra was. "I never knew if you were the youngest daughter of the president of PT Sunrise. As far as I know you're the daughter of a simple suburban dining house owner." Ryan furrowed his brows looking at Lyra. "So where's Mr Billy's youngest daughter?"

Agni was similarly surprised after seeing the man who came to the table where Lyra was sitting was Ryan. Agni was excited and just walked over to Ryan and Lyra.

"If you're the one I'm going to be betrothed to, I don't have to bother telling Lyra to replace me." Agni smiled as she extended her hand to Ryan. "Meet me Agni Sanjaya is the youngest daughter of Billy sanjaya."

Ryan sighed then shook Agni's hand with a look of sour face. "It's only fitting that when I first met you looked different, it turned out that you were the son of a respected person."

Then suddenly Rigel came with a look of his face that looked upset. Rigel then pulls Lyra to stand up from her seat.

"What are you doing here?"

Lyra was even more surprised by the sudden arrival of Rigel. Lyra got confused by this strange situation. Ryan is an ordinary man who serves as Rigel's secretary, does not feel strange if he is a man who is in a match with Agni. Then, why could Rigel also be present at the restaurant.

Lyra then releases Rigel's hand from his arm. "Aren't you supposed to ask me, what are you doing here?"

Without first answering the question from Lyra, Rigel just stared at Agni's cynical eyes. "So the reason you work at my place is because you want to get closer to me. I'm sorry, I don't think I'm interested in a match with you."

"It seems you misunderstood. You are not the reason I want to work there," said Agni who is also confused with Lyra.

"You know, when a lot of women come near me. They flocked to me for various reasons." Rigel tilted his smile. "You are willing to work in the kitchen just for the sake of approaching me, even though you are the daughter of a respected person and your education is also high."

Agni sighed in annoyance. "Originally you know. Of the many women who approach you, I am not one of them. So you don't have to be confident like that."

"I don't believe your foul words at all. So you better resign soon or I'll fire you." Rigel looked at Ryan. "Please take her home." Then pull Lyra out of the restaurant.

Lyra did not think that the man who would be betrothed to Agni was her pretend lover. Although Rigel strongly rejected his match, however, for some reason his heart was a little tight and sick when he found out that Rigellah was the man whom Agni was betrothed to.

"Don't you see that I don't like it very much. I didn't mean to show up, but since you were there I came to you."

"I replaced Agni to meet you and Ryan replaced you to meet Agni. Isn't this like fate, are you guys indeed fools."

Rigel hugged Lyra. "She was the woman my father chose to marry me, but she wasn't the woman in my heart. If God had predestined me with him, then I would have balked at that fate."

Lyra releases her body from Rigel's embrace. "Can you take me home now.

Rigel nodded, then led Lyra to where her car was parked. On the way home, Lyra's face looked sad. He looked away at the window beside him.

"Ehem." Rigel. "I'm gonna call off my match, so you don't have to worry."

"Why am I worried, I am not your official lover. And I don't have feelings for you either." Lyra forced her smile while looking at Rigel. "Do I look like I'm sad."

Rigel sighed with the look on his face that seemed to bend in annoyance. "You don't look sad at all."

"Oh yeah, you don't have to fire Agni. For the reason that he works in your office, it's not because of you, it's because of Ryan."

"Do I have to believe. She's the girl I'm dating, I'm not sure if the reason she works in the office is because of Ryan."

"I've known him long enough. I know her very well and I trust her too, so you don't have to misunderstand her."

"All right, I'll think back on it."

Arriving at home, Lyra just landed herself on her bed. He stared at the lights above the ceiling of his room. Before long, water slowly began to fall from both corners of his eyes. Rigel's figure just kept coming to his mind. To the extent of making it clever, that the person whom Rigel betrothed was himself. But what power, Lyra status is not as level as Rigel's status which is the son of a rich businessman.

"Didn't I hate it, why did my chest feel claustrophobic when I remembered it" Lyra murmured inwardly.

The next day while in the office, a middle-aged man came into the kitchen and approached Agni.

"You're Agni, right? I'll prepare a decent vacant place for you to occupy during your work here."

"Yes I'm Agni, but sorry who are you?" Ask Agni astonishment.

The middle-aged man extended his hand to Agni. "I'm Sandy Callisto, the father of the man you're about to marry."

Lyra was envious to see Agni being visited by Rigel's father. He arrived to be made to think back, that he was the one who should be in Agni's position. Get to know him, then shake the hand of his future father-in-law. If that keeps Lyra in mind, she will continue to feel sad. And it was time for Lyra to get out of the kitchen, because it was time for her to bring Rigel lunch.

"The only time your father came to see Agni, it seemed like he wanted to get to know her future son-in-law," Lyra said as she placed the plates she was carrying on Rigel's desk.

"He's a new candidate, doesn't mean he'll be his son-in-law. And I told you that I would be strongly opposed to the match," Rigel said.

"Truely, will it work."

"Why do you say that. Do you like it when I'm in a relationship with him, or are you sad because I'm in a relationship with him?"
