34. Should I Be Part of Them

Sandy's words have really made Lyra feel inferior. Should she be with Rigel or should she be Jayden's mother, all comes to mind. Lyra was just an ordinary woman whose level was far below Agni who was born from a distinguished family.

If Agni can be paired with Rigel, many benefits will be received by both Rigel and Sandy. The company in the club will be more powerful by uniting two families who have an important role in the business world, namely, moreover, the company owned by Sandy and her parents Agni became one of the largest companies in Indonesia. Both Rigel and Agni were people of equal standing. Until Lyra feels inappropriate if she has to be with Rigel.

During Rigel's time at home, Jayden kept on clinging to Lyra. Even though Sandy continues to try hard to bring Agni closer to her grandson. His efforts were in vain because what Jayden wanted was not Agni but Lyra.

"What you have, that makes my granddaughter unable to escape you." Sandy tilted her smile while staring at Lyra's sinister face. "I saw your resume that you went to the same university as Rigel. Why do you want to work as a cook, even though your education is not in accordance with where you work. Are you willing to work there just so you can tease my son."

Although what Sandy said was not the real thing, but somehow Lyra's body shook, she could not look directly into her eyes. Lyra was very upset and angry with what Sandy said, but she could not explain it. Because after all Lyra must maintain her attitude if she wants to be accepted by her lover's father.

"That's not why I want to work there" Lyra said, playing with her fingernails.

"So, what's the reason you want to work there?" Ask Sandy back.

"That's what made me take a job there. Because at the time I was in need of a job, in this city there was no company that opened vacancies after my education. I need a job."

Folding her arms, Sandy raised one of her eyebrows. "What situation are you in, so you can't be patient to get a job."

Rigel can not stay still when his lover is constantly asked questions. Moreover, Sandy's sharp words and suspicions have greatly upset and angry Rigel.

"Can you stop asking him. What problems he faced or what job he took on it was none of father's business. What I should have asked was Agni. A daughter of a big businessman willing to work in the kitchen doesn't that seem suspicious."

"According to Agni's father does not seem suspicious. Instead he was willing to work there because he wanted to get to know you more deeply."

Rigel sighed in annoyance. "He's willing to work there, maybe because he wants to spy on our company."

"I'm sorry to interrupt your conversation," sosor Agni who then looked at Rigel in annoyance. "What in your eyes I was that low, so that from now on you never stopped humbling me. I reiterate, if I never had any intention of spying on your company."

The argument that Rigel and Sandy are doing has made Lyra uncomfortable. Now there is another argument made by Agni and Rigel. They did it in front of Jayden. If Lyra was still in Rigel's house, the argument might never end. Lyra needs to leave if she doesn't want this argument to continue.

"I'm sorry I have to leave now" Lyra stopped talking.

As soon as Jayden cried, he immediately held Lyra's hand tight so as not to leave his house. "Mamah Lyra don't come home. Mamah Lyra just stay here with Jay."

Lyra wiped away the tears on Jayden's face. "Sorry, Mamah Lyra can't stay at Jay's house."

"Then Jay went back to Lyra's house."

"Jay can not come home with mamah Lyra, who will accompany papah Rigel at home if Jayden come home to mamah Lyra. Jay's a good kid, so Jay don't cry."

Instantly Rigel grabbed Lyra's arm. "Can you stay here until Jayden falls asleep. If you go home now, she won't stop crying."

Lyra took Rigel's hand off his arm. "No way, I have to go home now. So I'm saying yes now."

Lyra also immediately rushed to step on her feet, with a step that was also followed by Rigel. Jayden cried even harder as Lyra moved away from home.

"Why are you following me?" Ask Lyra to Rigel.

"I can't let my boyfriend go home alone. So, I'll take you home."

"Don't you hear Jay crying. Instead of taking me home, it'd be better if you calmed her down."

Rigel crouches down to match Jayden's height. "Jay love Mama Lyra right?"

Jayden nodded his head. "Yes, Jay loves Lyra."

Rigel wiped the tears on Jayden's cheek. "Jay stopped crying, because it would make my mother Lyra sad. Jay has to be patient, Lyra's mom will definitely come back to see Jay."

"When? Too long for Jay to have to wait again to meet with mama Lyra."

"Say mama Lyra is Jay's good boy. So Jay had to be patient, because Jay waited not for weeks. Didn't just a few days ago not meet with mamah Lyra, and Jay can finally meet again with mamah Lyra."

"Then get married soon to mamah Lyra, so Jay no longer has to wait if he wants to meet her."

"The father promised to marry my mother Lyra, so Jay had to wait patiently."

"Who you can marry. Don't you guys have no relationship, where you can get married if you don't like each other," said Sandy who looked astonished.

"That's exactly what you don't like about each other is me and Agni. So, you don't have to try so hard to marry me to her."

Rigel whispered to Jayden's ear. "Jay, if the old man says Papah will marry Aunt Agni don't believe him. Because Papah will only marry a Lyra mama, so Jay doesn't have to worry."

"Jay also knew that Papah would never marry Aunt Agni. Because Aunt Agni will only marry Ryan," said Jayden who also whispered.

Rigel smiled as he stroked Jayden's head. "Smart child, then wait for papah to come home, because papah will take mamah Lyra to his house."

Rigel was in a hurry to get out of his house. However, when Rigel was right in front of the house, Lyra was not there. The yard of the house is very broad, Rigel also had to go around looking for it, because it might be Lyra is still around the yard of his house.

It only takes a few minutes to get around, Rigel can't find Lyra around his house. Rigel must hurry to catch up with him, before Lyra goes far away. However, when Rigel was about to enter his car, his father came while carrying Agni.

"Can you take your future wife home. Because he's more important than having to drop off that woman named Lyra."

"If he's important, why don't you drive him."

Then immediately Ryan came to Agni and her two superiors.

"Let me drive him, for at first he went with me."

Rigel smiled at his father. "He'll be delivered by Ryan. So don't force me to drive him.

Rigel then rushed to overtake Lyra with his car. It only took three minutes for the car to go, finally Lyra can be found. Rigel got out of the car and went straight to Lyra.

"Didn't I tell you to wait, why did you go home alone."

Instead of answering the reason she left, Lyra asked back. "Have Jay stopped crying?"

"Yes, he has stopped crying, so I can catch up with you."

"Then you can take me home."

Without further ado, Lyra entered Rigel's car with a gloomy look on her face.
