My First Night With My Boss

My First Night With My Boss
60. What's Happening to the City of London

The novels Agni brought were still stored on the table, without being opened and without the slightest Rigel intending to read them. For days the position in which the novel was placed was still the same. To make Ryan was encouraged to ask, what novel brought his wife has not been read by her superiors. Because the position of the novel never changed places every time Ryan came to the room of his boss.

"I'm sorry, have you read the novel or have you checked it?" Ask Ryan.

"I don't have time to do useless things."

"Hm, reading a novel is a way to deal with stress. Do not you think too much about work, it can make you stress if every day you only think about work. At least by reading a novel you can relieve stress."

Rigel. "Just work to relieve my stress. Reading a novel is a waste of my precious time. And I remind you, reading a novel won't make me any money."

"Aren't you already very rich, for what you worked so hard to make money. And since the last three years you rarely spend money." Ryan swallowed his saliva. "At least you can travel out to refresh your brain."

Rigel. "Now you dare tell me. Has the position of superior has now moved on to you."

Ryan shook his head quickly. "No, no. I don't intend to tell you, I just want to give you advice."

"The best advice for me is if you get out of here, and bring all the novels. It's very disturbing my eyesight."

"Well I'll go, but I won't take the novel before you read it. At least you can check it out a little." Ryan also grew nervous and panicked after seeing his boss who looked upset.

While Rigel, he was astonished and wondered about the secretary and friend of his former lover, why they forced Rigel to read the novel. Though such a thing according to Rigel is not important. Moreover, Rigel does not like to do things that take up his time such as reading novels and lazing around.

Rigel sighed, even if he did not want to read Agni's novel, but he was very encouraged to read it. Being curious about the contents of the novel that makes Ryan and Agni very forced him to immediately read the novels.

Rigel also put the novels in the bag, then lined up based on the publication date of the novel. The first one he picked up was the first published novel. But when Rigel was about to read the first chapter, Ryan suddenly knocked on the door and went back into his room.

"Sorry sir, Mr. Sandy told you to come into his room now."

"Well I'll be there soon" Rigel said.

Ryan immediately smiled when he saw the novel lined up on Rigel's desk, and moreover he found Rigel holding one of the novels that his wife brought.

"It looks like you've become interested in the novel my wife brought me."

Suddenly Rigel was embarrassed, after he refused to read it aloud now he blatantly saw Ryan holding a novel. Rigel quickly put the novels back in the bag.

"I'm not interested, but I wonder why you and your wife are forcing me so much to read these novels. So I want to check it out."

Ryan smiled. "Have you read it even a little."

"A single word I haven't read, I just read the title." Rigel then moved from his seat. "You better bring back the novel, because from the title alone the novel is a useless book."

Rigel sighed as he stepped his foot out of the room. "As for you, I'll never read it anyway."

Rigel rushed to his father's room. Arriving there, Rigel immediately sat on the chair where Sandy used to chat with her guests.

"So what you want to talk to me about."

"Move to London, and take care of the branch of the company that is there."

"Did you kick me out because up until now I couldn't marry a woman of your choice."

Sandy. "I didn't kick you out, you've helped the company a lot. Even thanks to you our company became the number one company in Indonesia. I just want you to advance the company that's there too."

"A CEO like me should be transferred to a branch company, whose company is much smaller than our out-of-town branch."

"I know you are a great person, so I'm moving you there. Because I'm sure you can help us introduce our not-so-known company there. And at least if you move there, the wound in your heart will be healed."

"The reason I was moved there, is because you wanted to make me forget it." Rigel let out a rough sigh. "I'll never want to forget it, even if you force me to forget it."

"It's up to you not to forget that woman. Because I didn't tell you to forget it. If you move there, then you can treat the wounds in your heart. Now I don't care who you're going with. Because I just want you to be able to advance our company there."

Rigel then shuffled from where he sat. "Well, I'm moving to London." Rigel sighed, then muttered. "What's wrong with the city of London, Ryan and Agni forced me to read a novel from the original author there. And now you're asking me to move there."

Whatever happened to London, it felt strange. The novel and the company he later worked for were in London. And the strangest thing is, now his father doesn't care about the woman Rigel will choose.

"Had he given up on setting me up with his chosen woman" Rigel murmured inwardly.

Even though his father now does not want to find a woman for Rigel, and even though his father does not care about Rigel's choice, it seems that it is too late. Because now the woman he chose has gone from his life. Although Rigel is eager to see Lyra and tell her about her relationship, it is likely to be blessed if Lyra wants to return. It's been three years, Lyra may not have any feelings for Rigel. And maybe Lyra already has another man in her heart. Right now Rigel can only keep Lyra in his heart, but he can't have it.

After leaving his father's room, Rigel tells Ryan about his move to London.

"I will be transferred to a branch company in London. You're probably moving there with me."

Ryan immediately smiled after hearing it. "That's great, who knows if we move there, we can meet the famous author of the novel my wife gave Rigel."

Rigel grinned. "We're not there to see the author of that ugly book, but we're there to work." Rigel shook his head, then walked back into his room.

"At least at the weekend we can meet him" Ryan said.

"You go to see him, on the weekend I just want to rest" said Rigel, who also raised his voice.
