My Toni Is Mr. Anthony

My Toni Is Mr. Anthony
Chapter 14 - This Is The Day

I think I love you.

A simple sentence but capable of destroying and knocking down, not only a fortress but also the logic of an Eliana.

Body freezes. His heart was divided between the happiness and professionalism of a nurse towards a patient.

"Eliana." call Toni again.

"Yes?"

"Promise me." said Toni expectantly.

That hopeful look managed to melt Eliana's heart. "If you're not engaged or married, I'm going after you, Toni, until you remember me again."

Haduuhi!!! He could say something like that. Really - really embarrassing.

"Argh! You idiot! You idiot! You idiot!" groused Eliana. His hand hit his own head with anxiety.

"What is this?"

Eliana fluttered, waking up from her monologue. His nose smelled like the smell of something burning.

Toni stood at the door of her room, her nose sniffing. After returning home from the hospital, Toni was told to rest by Eliana. And Eliana promised to cook a nice meal for the sick Toni.

Eliana so follow sniffing - endus.

"O MY GOD!" he panicked when he realized the meat was sauteed by him daydreaming.

Wuah! Teflon in front of him was smoky - smoke, stirred - Eliana put out the fire.

Pstt. blup...

His hiss disturbed his hearing.

Geez the soup next to him is already boiling. The water boomed, dousing the fire beneath it to make a hissing sound. Buru - Buru Eliana raised the pot of soup.

"OUCH!"

BRAK BRENG BRONG'S

"WADOWW"

"ELIANA!" shout Toni.

"Oh, hot! I forgot to wear gloves." - Eliana grimaced. His expression was a mixture of shame and pain.

"The fire is too big" said Toni. Calmly his hand turned off the stove that was still burning, even though the contents of the soup pot were already messy on the floor.

Eliana's face was red. He was really ashamed of Toni. The cooking failed, the kitchen was a mess. How sad.

"I'm sorry, I'm a fool for making soup." Elijah.

"Suppa is all?" ask Toni while smiling. His eyes glanced at the charred flesh above teflon.

'Dow!'

Eliana's face was getting red to the ears.

"Let me do the cleaning and cooking. I'm afraid this apartment is on fire because of you." said Toni again with a small laugh. He pulled the dining chair and let Eliana sit down. Then take the ointment and smear Eliana's hand that was exposed to hot water.

"Hufff.

"If I'm your husband, you don't have to be good at cooking. Leave the kitchen business to me." said Toni while winking one eye.

Hey, Toni! Eliana covered her face with both hands.

***

"Suster Eliana, Nathan's doctor is waiting for you in his room" Sister Julie said with a cynical smile at Eliana.

"Alright, Sister Julie." replied Eliana flatly.

Without much to say, Eliana immediately left Sister Julie. Do not want to talk stale, do not want to prolong the problem. Eliana knows enough, who are the people who do not like it and spread gossip about Toni and herself. Yes, Sister Julie is one of them.

Eliana just followed her heart, and this is the day!

(This is the day.)

Eliana stepped out steadily towards the hospital headroom. He took a breath and exhaled slowly, then knocked slowly on the door of the room.

"Get in." Nathan's heavy voice came from inside the room.

"Good afternoon, Doc."

"Hm."

Only that was Doctor Nathan's reply, his eyes would not turn from the paper he was holding.

Unknowingly, Eliana lowered her head.

Hmmm. Maybe it's time to replace it. Eliana let her mind wander to think about random things in order to reduce the sudden anxiety.

Doctor Nathan is beating. Eliana lifted her head, her eyes met with a disappointed look mixed with sadness belonging to doctor Nathan.

"Do you know why I told you to come see me?"

"Know, Doc."

Doctor Nathan nodded. He was amazed and astonished to see how Eliana looked so calmly facing him. Eliana seemed so ready to hear anything she would say later.

"It is with a heavy heart that I must pass on the board of directors' decision to you, Eliana."

Doctor Nathan stopped talking, he didn't have the heart to continue the next sentence.

Eliana nodded.

"It's okay, Doctor. I understand that doctors only do their job."

"Why did you make me have to do this, Eliana?" nathan's voice sounded helpless.

Eliana's tongue is twisted.

"You know? I was sad when I had to sign the termination letter between St. Paul Hospital with you." said Dr. Nathan again. His firm voice was wrapped in bitter taste.

"I'm sorry, Doc."

That was all Eliana could say, her eyes glazed over. Not because he regretted the decision of the hospital but because he had disappointed Doctor Nathan. Someone who is like his own father.

"If only you had followed my advice, you would still be able to work here." lamented the middle-aged man. He was truly sorry for Eliana's actions.

"If you give me another chance... "

Doctor Nathan looked up, waiting for Eliana's next sentence.

"I'll do the same. I'll keep helping and stay with him, Doc."

Finals!

Doctor Nathan knows Eliana's decision is unanimous no one can change it anymore.

"What's sad is that I can't give you a good reference."

"I get. That's been the consequence of my actions, Doc. Don't worry, I don't blame the doctor." Eliana said it with a smile.

"Thank you for your guidance all along. Sorry for bothering you." Eliana bowed her body deep.

Then Eliana said goodbye to Mr. Peterson.

"That's why I always call you a dumb nurse." said Mr. Peterson.

Accustomed to Mr. Peterson's ruthlessness, Eliana simply grimaced and scratched her head.

"That's it" said Mr. Peterson, waving his hand.

"But I like you because you're stupid. Usually the fool has a sincere heart." - Mr. Peterson.

He glared, looking towards St.'s garden. Paul. He did not want to admit that his heart was sad because Eliana no longer served him.

"I'm sorry, sir. I will miss you." said Eliana with a sweet smile.

Mr. Peterson looked over in disbelief. How can this woman miss him while all this time she cursed more - maki. But the woman he saw smiled instead, there was sincerity radiating from Eliana's face.

"Let me feed you Sir. Do you want to eat?" ask Eliana.

Mr. Peterson nodded, his eyes glazed over.

"You fool" he said again in a trembling voice. "I'd be lonely if there wasn't a stupid nurse like you."

Eliana laughed a little. No matter how many times Mr. Peterson says he's stupid, he won't be angry. The old man was the type of person who could not express his feelings other than anger.

"I'll see you every day if you want. How's it?" Eliana offers, she knows Mr. Peterson is lonely.

"Do not. Can - can I have high blood every time I meet you." said Mr. Peterson quickly. A tear dripped from the corner of his eye, which he quickly wiped away.

"Let's.... Sir." said Eliana trying to distract. He put a piece of apple in front of the patient's mouth.

"Thank you, Eliana." whispered Mr. Peterson almost inaudibly.

Eliana nodded. "I'm sorry if it often makes you high blood." Eliana's hand cupped Mr. Peterson's wrinkled hand. Soft and warm.
