Chapter 66 - Guilty Feeling

Waves of guilt hit Eliana again, she gave a smile. "Are you disappointed that you were forced to postpone our honeymoon?"

Oh, if only this woman knew what really happened. Toni is not disappointed because of the pending honeymoon, but because of something else. Guilty feeling's. Tony forced himself to smile. "Ehm, yes."

Eliana's smile spread, she brought her head closer to Toni's cheek and kissed her softly. "I'm well. Anytime you want me. "he whispered softly with blushing cheeks.

Eliana's kiss made Toni's eyes feel warm, without realizing her body became stiff. As much as possible to withstand the feelings of guilt that continue to hit him. A delayed Honeymoon is nothing compared to the disappointment that continues to haunt him. Disappointed with himself.

Eliana felt the change. There's nothing wrong with it, but it's hidden by Toni. He was very sure of his feeling.

"Take Eliana to my mansion, John! Let him rest there, no need to go to the main house first. Make sure someone is always looking after her as long as I'm not around!" toni's orders to John. Then Tony looked at Eliana. "I'll be back in about two hours."

"See you soon, baby!" Without waiting for a response, Toni waved her hand and left Eliana.

Throughout the journey Eliana kept thinking. He tried to ask John but the man's mouth kept tightly shut like a clam. Inevitably, Eliana kept all her curiosity in her heart until Toni came home. In her heart Eliana is determined to urge Toni to tell her what she is really hiding.

The car stops right in front of Toni's mansion. John opens the car door and helps Eliana out. A voice greeted him. "Sina."

Eliana. "Doctor Livia."

Eliana returned Doctor Livia's embrace warmly, then asked. "Do you know where I came home from today?"

Doctor Livia let go of his embrace and looked at Eliana with glassy eyes. "I'm sorry, don't take care of you."

Eliana scrunched her forehead. Toni also apologized to him when she first met him at the hospital. Isn't it in this case that he's to blame? She had drunk too much and had ruined her own wedding. Why does everyone seem to be sympathetic to him?

Eliana's eyes narrowed, she observed Doctor Livia's face well. "Have you cried, Doctor? Your eyes look swollen."

He turned to Alex who was standing behind Doctor Livia. "Eli." said Alex, his smile was stiff.

Eliana looked at Alex and Doctor Livia's faces alternately. Doctor Livia's face is tangled like a person who is having a problem and her eyes look puffy due to crying marks.

And Alex?

There was a bruise on his left cheek and a slight swelling at the base of his nose. His attitude towards Eliana was also awkward.

"Are you fighting Toni again?" rebuke Eliana gently. He tried to connect the cut on Toni's hand and the bruise on Alex's face.

He approached Alex, on his tiptoes and then his hands examined Alex's cheeks and nasal bones. His instinct as a nurse knew that the wounds were scars from blows, not from falling or stumbling.

Then I turned to Doctor Livia. "What's the matter exactly? What are you hiding from me?"

Doctor Livia blinked her eyes and nodded weakly. "Let's go in, you better rest first. After that we can talk." He took Eliana by the hand, and invited her in.

Eliana pulls her hand from Doctor Livia's. Enough is enough. Curiosity has arrived in ubun - ubun. He believes that they both know what facts Toni is hiding.

"Tell me! What's up?" Eliana looked at Doctor Livia and Alex with sharp eyes. Alex shuddered, the usually gentle Eliana turned fierce. He forgot, humans in times of urgency would definitely bring out his defensive abilities. Doctor Livia threw her gaze in any direction, she did not want to answer wrongly.

"Where's Toni?" Alex asks to distract Eliana.

"He went to meet someone somewhere and I don't know who he was meeting and where he was going." Eliana folded her hands in front of her chest, her eyes looking straight at Alex.

"I've answered your question, Alex. And now it's your turn to answer my question honestly. What was? What happened to me that night? What have I forgotten?" Eliana leaned on Alex with a stack of questions in her brain.

Alex looked down lethargic. "I'll tell you everything. But we better go in and tell the story inside."
