"Eliana? What are you doing here? Isn't your house in the south?" sister Julie asked in a probing tone.
"Oh.. um, I'm having some business around here" Eliana replied. He was afraid of speaking wrongly.
Sister Julie squinted her eyes.
"O'yeah?" tanyanya could not believe it. "I passed by your house yesterday and I heard from your neighbor that you moved to another city with a man."
Heh? What - what the hell is this? His good intentions of wanting to help a woman who is being bullied even boomerang for Eliana. The person being helped is ungrateful, even to the life of Eliana.
"I don't understand what you mean, Sister Julie. I'm sorry if I bother you guys, I have to go home now or I'll be home last night." Eliana told me a little lie.
He no longer wants to deal with Sister Julie who not only likes to interfere in other people's affairs, but also has a sharp mouth. After all, all this time the relationship with Sister Julie was not too good either. Every time he met he always gossiped about other people and Eliana did not like him.
After some distance from Sister Julie, Eliana slowed down her pace. Inhaled air - deep, then slowly exhaled. It seems like today is not a good day for him. Starting from a wealthy patient who was arbitrary, then Toni disappeared...
'Toni?'
O'ya the purpose of coming out earlier was to find Toni.
'Arrgh.. because of Sister Julie, I forgot about Toni.' grunts Eliana in my heart.
"Why is your face pouting?"
Hey, that voice...
"Toni.
The man was standing under a street lamp that had started to light up, his hands put in his jacket pocket. Handsome and manly.
"Where have you been Toni?" he said slowly as he walked over to Toni. "I've been looking for you everywhere." Eliana's eyes stared softly at Toni, a sense of relief mixed with worry.
Toni stunned. There was something different in her heart as her eyes met with the eyes of Eliana who was always looking at her with a loving look.
"Sorry, I didn't get to tell you that. Are you worried because I'm not home?" Toni asked back with a sorry face.
Eliana nodded. Toni's hands stretched out, she clasped Eliana's hands and invited her to walk home. Toni's palm felt big and warm, there was a comfortable slurping in Eliana's heart.
"So I was looking for a job." Tony started his story. "Today I work as a dishwasher in a cafe."
The dishwasher? Holy hooch!
Eliana stopped her steps and turned to Toni with a look of eyes that exuded the question of 'why'.
"Hehe." Toni chuckles softly.
'Oh, so.'
Eliana nodded slowly. Though unable to bear to know Toni works as a dishwasher, Eliana tries to understand Toni's good intentions. They also went back in tandem.
"You knew? I can make good coffee. Because of something, the barista who used to work at the cafe was fired. Lucky me! When the owner was confused to find a replacement, I spontaneously offered help. And.--- "
Toni paused for a moment and breathed a sigh of relief, "It turns out she likes my concoction coffee." It was clear that he was satisfied and proud in his eyes.
"So? Tomorrow you work as Toni the barista?" guess Eliana with a small laugh.
Toni nodded with a wide smile, they looked at her with relieved expressions for two different reasons.
Eliana was relieved that Toni had not gone anywhere. Well.. , at least for now. Toni will continue with him.
And Toni? The man was proud of being able to make a little money, to lighten Eliana's burden.
That afternoon, Eliana had dressed up. Today he gets a holiday and plans to meet Toni at the cafe where he works. Quiet - silent Eliana was curious and wanted to see how Toni while working. And today is his chance to go there.
Once there, the cafe looks crowded visitors. There were only two empty seats in the corner. Not wanting to disturb Toni, Eliana immediately took a seat in the corner. He ordered a cup of espresso and read a book while waiting for his order.
"Hello."
Eliana looked up as someone was already sitting next to her.
"Eh, hi." said Eliana awkwardly.
The man sitting next to her looked about the same age as Toni, she was still wearing her work suit. She smiled sweetly at Eliana. "Only?"
Eliana was confused as to what to answer. He is alone, Toni is at work. But Toni should have known that Eliana was waiting for him here. Earlier this morning before Toni left, they had agreed to meet at the cafe after Toni's work hours.
"Yes, he's alone now." Finally, Eliana answered slowly.
"Marcell Smith." The man extended his hand. "You can call me Marcel." The man introduced himself kindly.
"Eliana" he said as he shook Marcel's hand. No matter what a little chat with this man while waiting for Toni to finish work. Eliana gave an excuse to herself.
"Back to work?" asked Marcel again, he looked at Eliana with interest.
Eliana shook her head. "I'm on a day off."
For a moment they fell silent, the servant came and brought Eliana's order. The man quickly opened his wallet and handed him some banknotes.
"I bought him. Take the change." Marcel's hand coded the waiter to leave them immediately.
Eliana widened her eyes. "Thank you, Mister. I can pay for it myself." subtly refuse it.
"Sina."
A gentle but firm call made Eliana and Marcel turn their heads.
Toni's face looks tired and dislikes. His eyes turned red and the corners of his eyes narrowed, looking at the man with a suspicious look. His jaw was hard, his expression as if to call for war.
"Sorry for interrupting your conversation. I'll give you the money back, sir. I brought him here, so I'll treat him."
"But he was alone" argued Marcel. Who is the man who arrives - arrives and interferes with his pleasure.
Eliana moving - motion, restless. Moreover, he felt Toni's gaze leading to him. Suddenly, Eliana felt wrong, like she was caught cheating.
Toni smiled wryly, "Yes, I know. She was alone waiting for me to finish."
"Hm-hm." Marcel nodded, his face clear that he did not like Toni. Then the man looked at Eliana. "Do you know this man?" his thumb pointed towards Toni.
"Yes. Her.... " Eliana cleared her throat. "My brother."
Marcel said nothing.
Toni's chest rumbled as Eliana called her sister. Toni doesn't like the fact that Eliana only thinks of her as a sister. Highlight his eyes instantly changed and re-hardened.
"Then, I'll take her to another table that's more comfortable." Toni packed Eliana's books and bags.
"Come." said Toni.
Again Toni uses her soft but firm tone. His palm was facing upwards, waiting for Eliana to stand up and greet him.
