Chapter 3 - Stay with Me

"Sorry, Toni. I can't keep you company any longer because I have to visit a lot of patients and there are other tasks. But I promise to accompany you before and after work until you get well" Eliana said, putting on a face full of regret. "Do you want something?" ask Eliana later.

Eliana's hand brushed Toni's hair back so it was neat. He had just finished cleaning himself and washing his hair in the patient's bathroom. Eliana had offered Toni to wipe her body in the room, but Toni refused. Toni feels still able to do everything on her own, although it must be slow and careful.

"No, thank you." replied Toni briefly. He did not want to look at Eliana, there was a sense of unwillingness when he knew the woman was about to leave him.

Eliana smiled - a smile as she looked at Toni's face.

"Eh, why?" Toni asked as she felt Eliana look at her.

"I never misjudged. You are indeed handsome." said Eliana spontaneously, the look in her eyes radiating admiration.

After her working hours were over, Eliana came to visit and chat with Toni. Today the time to accompany Toni will be longer because he is free of duty.

"Duty night watch?"

"My shift is done, Sister. Before I go home, I want to see a friend first." replied Eliana politely.

"You mean patient room number zero?" the Sister asked in a cynical tone, her eyes glancing towards the door from where Eliana came out.

"Women are weird, why cry for strangers? Don't mind me. I don't want to trouble you who have nothing to do with me."

"How is it not related? You're my patient, and I love you." refuted Eliana.

"You don't even know my name, address and job, how can you love me? I'm a bum or a bad guy anyway."

"I can feel you not as they say." this time Eliana said it while smiling sincerely.

Toni turned her face away, hiding the haru taste that spread in the chest.

"Let me take care of you, at least until your memory recovers. As such, I will not be subjected to any guilt for their treatment of you. Come home with me"
