Chapter 88 - The Reason

Eliana was sleepy waiting for Alex who had not yet returned home. While Toni was reading the writing on her tablet, John just sent an email containing the data and schedule of activities to be done by Toni as soon as she returned from the honeymoon.

John also sent an email asking Toni to be the source of a famous television show. Toni has to weigh in and watch their impressions before deciding.

"You just sleep. After you sleep, I'll go downstairs and wait for Alex downstairs." Toni stops her activity when she sees from the corner of her eye that Eliana yawns many times.

Once again Eliana yawned, she clasped her arms around Toni's neck sitting next to her on the bedroom couch. "But don't be mad at Alex if he comes. Yea? Trus don't forget to take her diving in the great barrier."

Toni looked over and peeked at Eliana's cheek. "Okay.... " Then he smiled and pulled his wife's neck so he could kiss her lips.

For a moment they make out, until Eliana quits first because she is worried that Toni is asking for more. Tonight he wants to sleep well instead of doing anything else. He had done enough of his duty today.

"Good night." he whispered as he rubbed Toni's jaw.

"Sleep tight." reply Toni.

He looked at Eliana's back that was walking towards the bed and as soon as her head stuck to the pillow, Eliana fell asleep immediately. Not until five minutes, regular breathing sounds have been heard.

Slowly Toni got up while carrying her tablet, she got closer to the bed and tidied up Eliana's blanket. Smack his head and immediately go down. Afraid that - if a knock on the door would wake his wife who had just fallen asleep.

Toni went into the kitchen to get a drink, she could feel that Alex was following her with a step.

"Drink." Toni poured a glass of water and put it on the table.

Alex sat in a chair and drank the water. He spent it in one gulp. The journey today was quite long and exhausting, unknowingly making him exhausted and thirsty.

"Eliana's asleep?" he asked Toni who was opening the refrigerator.

Alex's brain isn't fully ON because of the effects of alcohol so it's a little slow in processing information. But his little heart could feel Toni's good intentions towards him.

After talking to Livia, Alex has decided to talk to Toni. He's not gonna run away again. Better to apologize, he's not a coward. Even if all by Grandpa's orders.

"Eliana prevented me from eating everything at dinner last night. She was worried you hadn't eaten when you got back here, so she left this for you." Toni pointed to two pieces of sanger sauce on the plate and two other foods. "But if you've eaten, I'll spend it now."

"Eeh.. , uh.. , wait!" Alex holds Toni's hand to reach for the sauce sangers. "For dong, it turns out I'm hungry again. You are one and I am one. Sharing is caring." said Alex with a clear face.

This Australian sausage is her favorite food, which she can just skip. Actually, he also wanted to eat both, but was not happy with Toni who had been waiting for him until midnight.

Toni sighed. "Yes already. Others you can finish. Don't forget to wash the dishes."

The two men sat at the dinner table, eating three different kinds of Australian food. A slow conversation was heard in the warm kitchen, while the warm water-filled kettle had already begun to steam, ready to brew chamomile tea.

"Is there anything you want to tell me?" toni asked after the atmosphere between them was already more fluid.
