Chapter 20 - Toni And The Horde

Eliana closes the apartment unit door right in front of Rebecca's mother's nose. Let him be rude this time to others.

Eliana was really upset, how hard it was to make people understand.

"What the hell looks evil in Toni?" eliana asked herself. He walked back and forth while nagging.

"As soon as they kicked us out, I paid them off for the month." - Grunts Eliana.

He stepped inside his room, then threw his body onto the bed, lying on his back looking at the sky.

"I don't know what time Toni came home today. He should have bought a cell phone instead of buying a watch."

"ARGHA!!! How do you tell him about this apartment?" eliana grumbled again in frustration. Want to feel he grabbed his own hair, complicated and mummy.

Hmmm.what will happen let it happen later. More importantly, he had to tidy up their things now and find a new place to stay for later in the night and beyond. Eliana immediately stood up and picked up her suitcase from the storage area.

"Maybe those guys. They were so impatient to see us leave here." - Eliana scolded as she dragged her suitcase. Then open the suitcase and put some items in it.

Eliana sighed violently, while shaking her waist. Awesome pissed! Wasn't it enough they threw us out? Just packing is hard. Eliana again murmured while continuing her packing activities.

Thankfully, at last the pounding sound at the door came to a halt, Eliana exhaled a sigh of relief. It seems they're gone, hopefully they're tired of bothering him.

Ow! Eliana's wrong. Apparently some people were still at the door of his unit. Eliana heard their conversation from within.

"Eliana was inside, she just had a fight with me." Rebecca's mother's voice sounded.

"What a pity, Toni."

"Well how else? That's the consequence of what he did."

"Hey, didn't you tell her sister?"

"Eliana is not her sister. They were nurses and patients in St. Paul."

"Hey, don't say much. Quickly tell Eliana before they take Toni away. They are like brothers anyway."

Eliana's heart was like being knocked over, who took Toni away? Eliana sharpened her hearing, walking closer to the door.

"You'll see for yourself that we've knocked on the door. But the woman won't open the door for us." said someone.

"Let me!" said a man in an impatient tone.

"ELIANA, OUT! Your brother was taken by the police!"

The cops? Eliana's eyes widened, her face paled, her heart seemed to stop right then and there.

Eliana's reflex opened the door quickly, causing a loud noise.

"What's wrong with Toni?" he asked everyone in front of him.

People exchanged glances, nudged each other.

"So a group of men came and took Toni away. We're all forbidden to come near."

"What mob? Who?" ask Eliana to panic.

"We don't know, they could be cops wearing black suits and carrying cars" a man replied.

"Where are they?" Eliana clutched the man's arm and shook him.

"So in the back of this building..-"

Without waiting for the man to finish his sentence, Eliana had already turned around and ran as hard as she could, exerting all her strength to reach where Toni was as fast as she could.

Eliana's chest seemed to be about to explode, her breathing was almost exhausted from running. But the fear that Toni will disappear is bigger than anything. He should see Toni soon.

A few times it felt like this, but it felt different this time. It feels more gripping and deep. No, Eliana doesn't want to part ways like this. This is not how it works.

Ah, crap! Why are these people crowded in front of their apartment lobby. Glad they were watching others in distress, was this Toni arrest something interesting to talk about?

"EXCUSE ME!" shouted Eliana.

He broke through the horde of people standing at the lobby door.

"He did what?"

"I thought those men were cops."

"Looks mafia. The gangster?"

"The man who was brought was an upstairs resident."

"Right, he used to work as a barista."

"The coffee is so good."

"His name is Toni, kind and friendly. Why'd they take him?"

"It seems they're a herd."

"That's it, don't deal with the mafia gank once. Or.---" a man moves his finger to the left right like a cutting motion.

Hiz!!! These people are even busy gossiping. Eliana did not care about it anymore, she encouraged people who had made her step stop. They screamed and ran back.

"Diana!"

"Irma!" peek Eliana was a little relieved. At least there are people he knows today.

"Eliana, Eliana." The girl patted Elianan's arm while pointing in a direction. "Toni brought those people."

Eliana turned to the direction Irma pointed at.

Too late! When Eliana turned her head, the car was traveling at high speed. In just one blink, the car had already disappeared around the corner.

Eliana's feet seemed to lose their place, somehow felt something was missing from her heart.

'Toni will be back, right? He's not going for the next one?'

'The gang is his friend, right? If he does, he will be safe.

'How many times do you think Toni disappeared, but the truth is not?'

The voices echoed in Eliana's heart, slowly returning her heart and mind to reality. It's nothing, Eliana calmed herself down. Don't overthinking!

"What happened to Irma?" eliana asked with a slightly dazed face.

"I don't know clearly. I happened to pass by, they said there was a man chasing men in black. The man was originally about to enter the apartment building but he turned around and ran here."

Eliana looked at Irma in disbelief, being chased and running away were two words that could not enter her logic. There must be a reason for a chase scene - chase and escape.

"Somehow, you know, the men took Toni in the car."

"What is Toni fighting? Spanked?"

"Hmmm. I don't see them doing violence to Toni. But, yeah. They took Toni away."

"Are you sure it's Toni?"

"Hey, how can you not be sure? I even recorded the video." Irma shows Eliana her phone.

Eliana looked up at the scene in the video. But Irma's right, no guns and no beatings. Who're they? What does this have to do with Tony?

"Do you think they're cops?"

"That's our speculation, Eliana. You can ask the people watching."
