Chapter 62 - Fail To Protect Her

"What's wrong?" ask Alex worriedly.

Toni's body trembled with emotion, her jaw hardened and replied. "They. try... " Toni could not continue his sentence. He grabbed Eliana and hugged her tightly. Waves of guilt surrounded him, his chest felt tight.

"I shouldn't have left her"

(I shouldn't have left him.)

Alex immediately got out of the cabana and shouted.

"Please call 911!" Before long he returns to Toni and observes her surroundings.

"I think somebody mixed something in his drink."

Toni turned her head in shock, she saw all sorts of glasses strewn across the table. There was a lipstick-stained tequila glass on the edge of the glass. Toni hugged Eliana who was still unconscious. "I'm sorry. I'm so sorry... "

"Toni... " Eliana's voice sounded weak. Her eyelashes move - motion. "A. ^.ir."

"Alex, water!"

"Wait!" Alex rushed out. His voice was angry - angry and cursing. "WHERE'S THE HELL YOUR D-A-M-N MANAGER?!"

(Where's your fucking manager?")

"Ught... " One of the men that Toni beat moved near Toni's feet.

As fast as lightning, he grabbed the glass and threw it towards the criminal.

Blood flowed from his forehead, Toni was still unsatisfied. He wants to kill everyone there.

Alex came with two servants.

"This is TKP. No one is allowed to leave this place until the police arrive!" toni said with pushy eyes, staring at them one by one. At that very instant, everyone who was there realized, lest they deal with this person.

A siren roar rang out, three police cars drove violently in unison followed by an ambulance.

Toni sat holding Eliana's hand, her wife's consciousness drowned from something she had consumed. A paramedic repeatedly called Eliana's name to confirm the woman's consciousness.

But, Eliana was only able to mumble indistinctly. His eyes could not focus, his body was limp and helpless.

"She was alcohol-poisoned" said the female paramedic. "Until the hospital, we'll take a sample of the liquid in his stomach to find out what kind of poison it is."

"Is he gonna be okay?" ask Toni worried.

"May he be well. We need to pump his stomach."

Toni gulped with difficulty, clenched her hands, holding herself back from exploding. Now Eliana should be his priority first.

"Are you his guardian?" ask a paramedic named Josephine.

Toni nodded. "I am her husband."

"I'm sorry, sir. But he'll be fine" Josephine said.

Toni understands that what Josephine is referring to is Eliana's physical condition, but there are things that are more burdensome to Toni's mind.

He had already left Eliana so that his wife was subjected to s-e-k-s-u-a-l abuse. He cupped his face with both hands and cupped himself. What kind of husband puts his wife in danger.

Meanwhile, ambulances continued to advance towards the nearest hospital.

Toni is furious!

John and Alex move quickly, they go to the police station and get a tip that the criminals have put war-sang drugs into Eliana's drink on someone's orders.

"Someone?" toni asked as she looked at Alex and John who had just arrived at the hospital. Eliana is done, but she is not yet conscious and must be under intensive supervision.

Toni can't see him yet.

John and Alex glanced with concerned eyes, then exhaled simultaneously.

"Who?" sergeant Toni is impatient. His facial expression was tense with bulging eyes, until his nerve veins were clearly visible. Frustration and frustration mixed into one.

Tony turned to John. "Tell me who it is!" toni's orders growled.

John throbs. "If according to their description, the brains of all this are Bryan and - "

"Tiffany." continued Alex.

" Tiffany?" Toni.

Just like Alex, he couldn't believe that Tiffany could do that. His brain felt crowded, all tattered into one and asking for thought.

"I'm sorry, sir for being deceived by them." John looked down, not daring to look at Toni, ready to accept the consequences of his stupidity.

"Yes, Toni. I'm sorry I was lured to see Bryan. He used me to lure you out of the club." Alex scrambles - random his own hair, pissed. "Then he told one of the servants to deliver a drink containing medicine to Eliana."

Toni closed her eyes, feeling like she was the stupidest person in the world. He staggered, like being slapped by reality. Why did she leave Eliana without any escort at all?

The sound of hurried footsteps rang out in the corridor, the three men turned to someone who was walking towards them.

"Mr Anthony, how's Eliana...?" Doctor Livia's been conscious of her drunkenness. His face looked so anxious and worried.

Alex is closing in on Doctor Livia. "Why are you even drunk? Aren't you a doctor?"

Tears running down Doctor Livia's cheeks, she's ashamed of her own behavior. "I'm sorry Mr. Anthony, Mr. Alex and Mr. John."

Toni looks up, doesn't want to see Doctor Livia. He left his wife to the wrong man. "What kind of doctor are you? Absolutely not being an example." reprimanded Toni coldly.

Toni slaps Doctor Livia, the shame of her suffering is so great. Because of his carelessness, almost something bad happened to Eliana.

His mistake was absolutely fatal.

"I'm sorry, Mr. Anthony."

"Go, Doctor. I don't want to see you again. It's better that Eliana doesn't have any friends. And my family will no longer call you. You're lucky I didn't shut down your practice." Toni kicked out. His gaze was cynical and cold. There was not the slightest bit of mercy in her eyes as Doctor Livia cried out in regret.

Alex was silent - silently watching Toni with worry. This is the real Toni, he has shown his ferocious side.

After that Toni immediately turned around and returned to the emergency room and met with the guard sisters.

"Mr Peterson, you better get some rest. Your face looks pale."

Unintentionally, the nurse saw how agitated Toni from the first time she came to bring a woman who was poisoned by alcohol and became a victim of abuse.

"We'll take care of your wife. Don't worry, he'll be fine."

Unfortunately, Toni can't just trust anyone. It was not that she doubted the ability of the sisters and doctors in this hospital. But he doesn't believe in himself. He felt guilty about resting, while his wife, Eliana, was struggling to live.

Toni glanced at the name tag that was on the chest of the motherly-looking middle-aged sister.

"Suster Brown, can I ask you a favor?"

"If I could, I would definitely help you."

"Please let him know when he wakes up. I'm outside, I don't want her to feel abandoned and alone."

Highlight the sister's kind eyes softened, she was filled to see how Toni loved Eliana. "You must love him very much, sir."

"I do love her" said Toni bitterly.

Toni loves Eliana, but she can't protect her. He felt like he failed to take care of her.
