Tommy Loves Nurul (revised)

Rudi tried to calm Tommy down.  “You have complied with all his wishes, though it is not written.  You promised him not to ask Mr. Sudarsono about the disguise and until now you still keep your promise.  I don't see how you're making this worse than it has been,” Rudi said.

“Yes, but he might not see it that way.  If indeed he does not see as you see means.. “ Tommy is speechless.  A thought seemed to twist his chest tightly.  “I can lose him,” he continued.

Rudi looked at Tommy confusedly while feeling pity.  “So a Tommy finally fell in love,” said Rudi gently.

Tommy wants to express his denial as usual, but soon he realizes he can't.  He really can't say his denial.

“Love?  Can they call falling in love an uncomfortable body condition?  Cold sweat, pounding heart, suffocating fear as I worry about living a life without her?” said Tommy.  “That's how people say,” replied Rudi.

Tommy looked at his best friend.  “So, this feeling is really unpleasant.  I have done the right thing because I have been against it all this time.  For God's sake, I don't think I can live this more than once in my life,” Tommy said.

Rudi smiled.  “With all the luck, you do not need to experience it again,” said Rudi.

While at the residence of Mr. Sudarsono, Nurul sat in the living room.  He stood up again and walked back and forth.  “Nurul, my son, calm down,” said his father.  “It will be over soon,” Nurul said.  “Iya, I know,” said his father.

Next what?  Married to Tommy?  Even though that man doesn't love Nurul?  Nurul doesn't even know how Tommy will react after hearing the news about Nurul's mother's death.  Tommy may not want to get in touch with Nurul's family after this.

Where is Tommy now?  Is Tommy back in Jakarta, or is he still in East Java?  Or is he with Mr Sudarsono?

“Pak, Nurul wants to talk to someone in the back,”.  “Who?  Talk what?” ask father.  “Head maid here, Sir.  It'sit's nothing.  Nurul just wanted to ask how much longer Mr. Sudarsono will be here,”, Nurul said.

Actually, when Nurul rushed out of the room, he wanted to know if Mr. Sudarsono was coming with Tommy.  Or has Tommy come here and with Mr Sudarsono the legal process they started?  But, Nurul could not say that to his father.  His father doesn't even know about Tommy.  He has not dared to tell about the possibility of his future with Tommy.  He is not sure of his own feelings and there are still many unresolved issues.

It doesn't matter anymore whether Tommy has spoken to Mr. Sudarsono or not.  Even if Mr. Sudarsono is trying to make his threat a reality, Nurul's father has a number of ways to stop him.

However, this was still important to Nurul.  If Tommy can't believe it, what kind of marriage will they have?  Maybe he could live without Tommy's love.  But without his trust?  Consideration of harapa Nurul?  That would be a kind of very bad union.

On the other hand, what Nurul asked of Tommy was almost too difficult for any man to do.  Unaware of the situation, Nurul asks Tommy not to intervene.  Every man will find this difficult.  But a guy like Tommy would think it impossible.

“Oh, alright,” said the maid's head.  Nurul took the head maid to one side of the room.  “So Uncle said Om Sudarsono is away, is he alone?  Or...” said Nurul.  The man looked astonished.  “Maybe Uncle heard Om Sudarsono get a sudden message?” nurul.

“The only person who received such a message this morning was Madam.  He said Madam should come to the residence of someone named Tommy,” explained the head maid.

Nurul looked at the man with widened eyes.  “What.... is it possible that Om Sudarsono with Aunt Lupita came there?” nurul.  “I didn't see them together, Miss.  Oh yes, Madam told me not to tell Mr where the Madam went,” the man said.

A wave of relief struck Nurul with astonishing force.  Tommy did as he asked!  He can't blame Tommy for talking to Aunt Lupita.  That's not part of the deal.

Tommy did not see Mr. Sudarsono.  It must be something to express his feelings to Nurul right?  Instead of reminding herself that this was not over at all, Nurul could not prevent the overflow of happiness that lightened her heart.

Rushing back to the living room, he sat down next to his father while smiling secretively.  His tommy.  He can assume Tommy still wants it after all this is over.

Nurul and his father heard the car coming.  His father grabbed Nurul's hand and squeezed it.  They heard voices on the porch, but when someone finally entered the room, it was not Mr. Sudarsono, it was Tommy.

Nurul looked at Tommy in astonishment as the man rushed over to Nurul with Aunt Lupita and Rudi following behind him.  Tommy doesn't even give Nurul a chance to introduce his father.

“Nurul, Sudarsono is coming soon, his car is behind me.  We have a short time.  Look, I already know everything, about your mother and that medicinal herb and about Sudarsono blackmailing you,”.

As Nurul looked at him with a huffed look, Tommy added, “And I did not receive his information from Sudarsono.  I haven't met him, I swear,” Tommy said.

“Keep, who told you that, Tom?” ask Nurul.  “Ga there is time to explain it,” replied Tommy.  While kneeling on one leg, Tommy grabs Nurul's hand and kisses her.  Immediately the hand was pushed aside by Nurul's father.

“Who is he, Nurul?” ask father.  “He is a friend of Nurul, Sir,” Nurul replied in an unconvincing voice.  “Mr, this is Tommy.  Tommy, this is my father, Mr. Arif Sumantoro,” Nurul said.

The meeting of the two men had its own impact on both of them.  Tommy, of course, was nervous, but he was a man who used to perform in public.  He can condition his facial features and attitude so that he still looks confident in the expectations of the man who will become his father-in-law.  This was the principled man who had raised Nurul all along.  Inside Nurul's body flowed his hot blood, as hot as the character that Nurul had shown Tommy.
