Not Nackal, Nurul!
The Requesting Man in the Mosque

Sorry guys, the story is undergoing a revision.

Jama’ah prayer was over.  People slowly disperse, but not simultaneously.  Each person is seen first to pray and to think for themselves solemnly.  Tommy eagerly awaits Dimas.  Soon it will be his turn to pray.

Suddenly after some people seemed to slowly disperse, a man dressed in a tangle came to Tommy.  The man looked so limp, his face was extremely pitiful, just like a person who had not been filled with energy for a long time.  He puts his hand on Tommy.

“Assalamu.  Den, I convert,” said the unknown man.  “Oh yes?  Nausea?  Where do you live?” asked Tommy who seemed to be ignoring the man's fist.  “I live around Koja Market.  I haven't eaten in a few days, Den.  Help me,” said the man.

Tommy looked at the man.  How could there be such a person on campus?  His appearance was like a bum despite his clean clothes, but it was very chaotic, not neat.  This may be the case, because the faculty mosque is located not far from the outer fence of the campus.  For sure campus security personnel are not able to reach all places so that people like this can enter the campus environment.

In addition to his suspicious look, Tommy also has a sense of compassion from the sight of his eyes.  One side he ignored the unknown man's handcuff, but on the other he also seemed to be closing his right hand to the surface of his pants pocket.  Want to feel the contents in the pocket attached to his thigh.

“Maybe this man is a victim of bullying in the neighborhood where he lives or even his own family due to his conversion to Islam.  A religion that his family may reject.  Poor thing,” Inner Tommy.

Tommy intends to become a convert.  He positioned himself as this unknown man.  Luckily Tommy is someone with a lot of material.  Tommy can choose his own life without fear of losing his possessions and environment.  Tommy is also surrounded by good people who support his conversion.

“Mr want me to help you?  We're converts, sir.  Maybe..” Tommy speech prevented.  Tommy actually intends to invite the unknown man together with him to study Islam and Tommy also wants to ease the burden of the foreign man.  Maybe the unknown man could stay temporarily in his residence then both look for a convert institution that could help.

Dimas cut Tommy's speech.  “Astaghfirullahal adziim.. Mr. previously had been hit by gep and now I still continue this despicable work,” said Dimas.

The unknown man piled his hands dangling down while looking down.  “What do you mean, Bro?” ask Tommy.  “This father claims to be a convert, right?” ask Dimas to Tommy.  “Iya,” Tommy replied.  “He asks for money same you?” continued Dimas.  “Emh...” Tommy hesitantly replied, because he ignored the handcuff of the unknown man.

“Only God knows this Father converts or not, which obviously he likes to travel as a requestor and will only go if someone has given money to him, Tom,” explained Dimas.  Tommy looked at the unknown man while shaking his head.

“Ma-forgive me.. “ said the unknown man.  “Mr, this is not how.  You are still healthy, still able to do other work.  Don't be a beggar like this.  Especially by using the sympathy of others in the name of religion.  Islam does not teach this kind of thing, sir,” Dimas said in a low tone.

“I will not repeat it, Den,” said the unknown man.  “Cannot.  When you were caught doing something like this yesterday, you promised not to repeat it, but now.

“PAK SAFE’I.. “ call Dimas.  “Sa-I beg you, Den.  Don't.. “ said the unknown man.  Tommy just looked at her and let what was happening in front of her.  A man in a security uniform was barefooted and still looking after being summoned by Dimas.  The officer had of course just finished praying the congregation’ah.  The officer approached them immediately.

“Pak Safe’i still remember this Mr?” said Dimas.  “Eh, you were yesterday!” the officer said with annoyance.  The begging man scrunched his body.  He actually wanted to escape, but Dimas held him back by clasping his wrist.

“What is this guy doing again?” ask officer.  “Iya, Sir.  Mr. this is almost my friend's malak,” said Dimas.  While Tommy just nodded confirming what Dimas said.

“Ck ck ck!  Come with me!” said the officer who now changed to pull the arm of the begging man.  “Pardon our limitations in securing this environment, Nak Dimas.  Me especially.  I might be disappointed like this.  This should not happen again,” said the security officer.

“Iya, Sir.  My friend and I understand this.  Please Sir if you want to bring this Mr.,” said Dimas.  “Iya, Nak Dimas, Aden.  Come on, you come with me!” said the security officer.  The security officer and the begging man left in front of Dimas and Tommy.

“Subhanallah.. There are only rich embarrassing things,” said Dimas.  “Already,” said Tommy.  “Nothing, Bro.  It is the rich people who make the name of Islam ugly.  All this time what appears on the surface of the Muslims are poor people, begging, like that person.  Sometimes the cave is embarrassed by people like you, Tom,” Dimas said.

“People like caves?  What do you mean, Bro?” ask Tommy.  “I mean cave of non-Muslims.  On the surface you don't look like that.  Most of you are people, at least be royal so,” said Dimas.

“Ga all.  It's just a coincidence that non-Muslims you see here are like that.  Muslims are seen and seen on the surface because your numbers are many, you are the majority.  Certain things do not seem to the surface when the number is a little alias minority,” said Tommy.

As an activist who has faced many social problems, Tommy has a fairly objective assessment of the phenomenon that has just occurred before his eyes.  Actually, so is Dimas.  She was also an activist, but now she is spilling her grievances on Tommy.

Fortunately neither Dimas nor Tommy responded with excessive emotion to the thing they had just faced.  Dimas was already upset a few days ago because he found the incident repeated by the same person.

Tommy, meanwhile, is a conglomerate who actually dislikes activities such as begging.  For him those who beg like that are just disgusting lazy people.  A thought that arises when Tommy has not just ablution and witnessed the special worship earlier.

“Yes too, Bro.  May such people be less and less in society.  Make it a shame, nahusahin anyway,” said Dimas.  “Aamiin.. “ says Tommy.  “Ya, already.  Said you want to teach cave prayer?” said Tommy.  “Oh, yes yes.  Yoklah,” said Dimas invites Tommy to move places by sticking his hand to Tommy's back.
