"Steve Arlington called me on Dad's phone." Laras deliberately mentioned Steve's name completely and gave little emphasis in each tribe he said.
Ken was shocked. This time he was really surprised. The man did not expect that Steve would break his identity this quickly. What was Steve planning?
"ANSWER KEN!" The successful Baras clash made Ken aware of his daydream.
"What did Steve say?" ask Ken.
"He killed Dad and you were there as a silent witness to the tragedy!" Laras looked at Ken with his sharp gaze.
"Yes, right." Ken's answer was so short without the slightest rebuttal.
"DORNE! Why not kill Steve! Are you stupid, huh! Is your brain blunted by love with that woman? Where's your dedication to the organization, asshole!" Exploded the anger of Laras and his disappointment.
"YES, IT'S ALL TRUE! I'M STUPID! I'M STUPID! I CAN'T DO ANYTHING ANYMORE! AK—"
The set!
A mini knife floated in the air and fell on the floor as it hit the wall behind Ken. William was surprised when he saw Laras who without warning threw his mini knife. The knife hit Ken's left arm. A straight line horizontally is created and blood flows out of it.
Barrels up from his chair. Ken knows that now Laras has become a life-extracting angel. The woman will play with a Ken, the number one trusted by Laras. But Ken just broke the woman's trust. Just deserve to be angry.
Ken didn't budge from his place. He remained standing at his original place gallantly. Although his left hand began to feel pain, it seems that Baras right hit the nerve until it felt very painful.
"Do you know what happens next?" asked Laras with a sharp look and killed him. The woman forgot that in the room there were not just the two of them.
"Yes. Do as you please. Take out all your anger on me and don't be harbored, Ras. I know you're disappointed in me, but I can't dwell when Uncle asks me to keep quiet."
"Have you forgotten that you are my confidant?" asked Laras again getting closer to him.
"No and that's why Uncle chose this path as my intermediary. I've repeatedly convinced Uncle not to do that crazy thing. But, Uncle is an Uncle who has the same stubbornness as you." Ken stopped his words as the throbbing in his left hand grew more and more.
"Then you just shut up and betrayed me, did you?"
Jem!
Baras pulled out another mini knife and stuck it right in Ken's left arm. Fresh blood began to seep out, drenching the tip of the blade. Ken scrunched his forehead as Laras further deepened his prick.
"I love that expression, Ken. I really like to see the expression of pain from a traitor!"
Laras pulled out his knife and looked at Ken with a murderous look. If he did not remember that in front of him this time was a Ken Lian, it was certain that Laras would have gone out of control. The barrel wanted to give Ken one more prick but someone held his wrist.
"That's enough, dear. Pity our son if we have to lose his uncle. I don't want you to be a killer while you're pregnant. Okay?"
Baras looked at William who dared to stop him. Ken himself is also surprised by the courage of William to stop Laras.
"You dare?" asked William in a cold tone.
"If you dare to stop my paranoia, then I also dare to stop your madness." William still held Laras's hand, asking to be released.
"At least let me scratch that shitty face! Release, William!" baras's snapping was so frustrating as William's grip grew stronger.
"No! You're adding more weight to me then. Just imagine her broken face, surely no woman would want to approach her." William codes Ken to escape the room as long as he distracts Laras.
"Let go, Will! Or I'll kill you!" threaten Laras.
"Please if you want to kill Daddy from your son!" William really didn't want to lose this time.
Hearing that made Laras speechless. He knows, William just wants to distract him from Ken. He also knows that Ken ignored William's code. It made Laras again lift the corner of his lips upwards.
"Because I have to make amends. As Uncle Daniel taught me a few hours ago." Ken's answer made Laras' heart pinched.
No matter how bad a Ken is, Laras still trusts the man. Even if Ken lied for his good, Laras would without a second thought believe it. But this time, Ken didn't want to lie.
After that, the story flows from the beginning of a revenge Steve formed. The grudge between his father who is the Uncle of a Daniel Arlington. The uncle who had taught Daniel the black world to be the feared leader.
Unfortunately, the loony Uncle didn't receive the property when Daniel was appointed Arlington's heir. A conspiracy was created by his Uncle for Daniel. Decades later, a surprising fact.
Daniel knew that everything that happened in his life was the work of his uncle. They were engaged in one-on-one combat. At that time, the Uncle lost and died at the hands of Daniel.
"Damn it! Goddamn bum! Fvck!" the curse of Laras is out of control again.
"Do you remember the tender that was done in Indonesia? That's Steve Arlington." Ken tells Steve Arlington that he makes Laras look in disbelief.
"You?" Laras glared at Ken, not believing that Ken would fool him so far.
"No. I only found out yesterday when I came face to face with him."
As if understanding what Laras had in mind, Ken refuted him. He only found out about Steve Arlington yesterday. Laras searches for the lie in Ken's eyes but he doesn't find it.
"Read the letter. I can't calm your mind, neither can William. Therefore, Uncle has written a letter to calm you down. Whatever your decision is after this, I will support it. Revenge or not, all decisions are in your hands."
After saying this, Ken walked out of the Uncle's room. He walked to his room, then contacted Alex, his personal assistant.
While Laras immediately brushed aside William's grasp and out of the room. She stepped into the room on the second floor and cried. William took an envelope with blood stains on it. He took the envelope with him.
****************
"Will .. William," called Laras when she saw her husband daydream instead of answering her question.
"Dear, what's wrong?" asked William who was shocked.
"Kok what the hell is going on. I asked, am I overdoing it with Ken?" tanya Laras repeated her question.
"I think it's natural to punish traitorous subordinates. It's just, you're too rash on this. At least calm your mind and listen to Ken's explanation." William looked at the quiet looking wife.
William continued to give his answer. "I don't know how the Arlington mafia thinks. I only learned the mindset of Uncle Nikolai's Sky Dragon clan mafia. At least every organization must have its own vision and mission as well as its own punishments and rewards."
Laras nodded his head in understanding and allowed William's elaboration. He begins to understand and feels guilty for Ken.
"I'm going to see Ken" said Laras, rising from his bed.
"Don't!" William forbade.
