CHAPTER 40 ON FRIED RICE

Getting a call from his young master, Rama immediately headed to the room in question. Not until 5 minutes, the man with a flat face arrived in front of William. A frown on his forehead was clearly imprinted when he saw William's hand wrapped in bandages.

"Sir, do I need to call a doctor?" rama asked worriedly but remained with his flat face.

"People will misunderstand when they see you say that. Asked in a worried tone but his face was like an ironing board, so flat." protested William.

"Hn" answered Rama.

"Ah stop! The face was flat" the taunts of William and Rama did not respond.

"Sister, please investigate who Liu Meyrin really is" William ordered his foster brother and personal assistant.

"Don't I investigate that time? The information is just that. I can't break into the Arlington family's defenses."

"But Armand can. Don't think I didn't know that brother and Armand were classmates."

William raised his eyebrows, mocking Rama. While the one ridiculed only displayed his flat face and rolled his eyeballs carelessly. The man had expected that sooner or later William would find out his connection to Armand, Nikolai Stevano's right-hand man.

"You know how to—"

"no need. Your brain that has an above average IQ has proven it," replied Rama.

"Then, can you find information about Meyrin through Armand?" ask William again.

"Why do you suspect Miss Meyrin?" rama asks why William suspects Meyrin.

"Fried rice made earlier."

"It wasn't just his dinner menu—"

"I accidentally didn't touch that dinner menu. I wish Meyrin would give me a clue about Laras. However, it was not a clue I got but a fact without concrete evidence."

"He made you fried rice and it tastes the same as what Mrs Laras made? What happens next?" Rama expressed his assumption that was right on target.

"really. Afterward—"

Flowing the story as William recounts his first encounter with Laras. The man hoped Meyrin would be provoked but no, he was still the Liu Meyrin that William knew. He also told me about Meyrin who wanted William to sign a divorce papers with Laras.

"So, this is Mrs Laras' secret mission." Rama.

"Where, brother?" ask William.

William would really submit to Rama if it concerned his beloved wife, Laras. He didn't want to lose Baras for the second time. Anything William would do to get back a barrel.

"Since when have you been suspicious of Miss Meyrin?" ask Rama.

"When stuck acqua alta on the Rialto bridge. He's hard to build. At first I dismissed it, but the more it became clear that Meyrin was Laras."

"Why don't you just say it?"

William immediately rounded his eyes when he heard the proposal from Rama. He stared in amazement at his foster brother as well as his personal assistant. For some reason, the idea of contract marriage was not in his mind.

"OKAY. I agree to that. I'll see Meyrin first and don't forget your job of finding concrete evidence about Liu Meyrin."

If William a few minutes ago vented his paranoia, it was different from Meyrin. As he lamented his fate, he suddenly heard the ringing of his cell phone. There's Uncle Aite's name there.

"What's up, Uncle?"

"Boss, something happened in the armory. Some of the weapons that will be exported disappear without a trace" Aite reported.

Meyrin knew very well, if Aite had already called him Boss, it meant that they were gathering. Something serious is happening.

"Mr Jack is on his way from Lunar City to Italy, Boss."

"Well, I'll be right to the barn with Lea."

"No need, Boss. Mr. Jack told us to gather at my mansion."

"All right."

After saying that, Meyrin ended her call. He wiped away the traces of tears on both of his cheeks and moved from his supine position.

"Miss," called Leah who suddenly entered the room.

"Did Ken call you?" ask Meyrin.

"Yes, Miss. Let me help you with the preparation."

After that, Lea began to help pack some items that needed to be brought. Some clothes were also brought because they might not return for the next few days.

Liu Meyrin stared at his reflection in front of the mirror. Wearing bright red lipstick as the last touch of her makeup tonight. Meyrin closed her eyes and took a rough breath.

"It's ready, Miss."

Lea had just come out of the walk in closet by pulling Meyrin's black suitcase. He stood at the door, waiting for his nona to give the order. Until the door of the room opened displaying the figure of William who was in disarray.

Meyrin frowned as she looked at William's appearance which was far from neat. He gave Lea a black tote bag. The woman nodded her head, gave the code and the assistant walked out of the room with his black suitcase.

William stared at Meyrin from head to toe. Black dress with floral motifs combined with tight shorts above the knee. Meyrin's legs are perfectly exposed plus makeup that seems wild and naughty.

"You're going? Is it because of me?" william asked, from his tone looking guilty.

"No, Will. I have to leave because of the company. Maybe in the next few days I won't be going home" Meyrin said.

"Oh," William doesn't know how else to react.

"Take care of yourself" Meyrin said, patting William on the shoulder.

Meyrin stepped her foot, passing William just like that. As his right hand held the door handle, William immediately pulled Meyrin over and kissed her. The kiss this time impressed like a sense of not wanting to lose.

Meyrin returned the kiss, following the will of a William. Meyrin's new few minutes released her, both breathing snorted but their faces were so radiant.

"You've always ruined my make up" Meyrin protested at the sight of William's lips blushing from his lipstick.

William just smiled and kissed Meyrin on the forehead. Then a little steal a kiss on the lips, yes just a kiss no more. He saw Meyrin glaring at him.

"Go! Call me if anything happens," asked William who only answered a nod of the head by Meyrin.

After it was felt that nothing was discussed, Meyrin opened the door handle and exited the room. In the living room already stood Rama and Lea with her black suitcase.

Rama approached Meyrin with his head lowered. That's William's latest rule, which was triggered minutes ago. Unbeknownst to anyone, the man who was famous for his flat face handed Meyrin a piece of paper. Meyrin accepted it, looking at Rama who remained down.

"Be careful, Madam" said Rama in a soft tone.

"What are you guys so close to?"

Rama gave what?
