CHAPTER 77 IS NOT DANIEL'S FAULT

A doctor just came out of the ER with a smiling face. Ken and Lea walked up to the doctor and asked Meyrin.

"The patient's condition has stabilized and successfully passed the critical period. The spirit of his life and the actions of the family make all the process run smoothly and there are no obstacles. We just need to let him rest and wait until he wakes up." The doctor explained Meyrin's condition.

"Thank you, Doctor," said Ken and Lea. The two of them were finally able to breathe a sigh of relief.

After that the gurney where Meyrin lay out of the ER room. Some nurses pushed the gurney into the hospital room that Lea had prepared.

Ken gives Lea the code to follow Meyrin, while the man enters the ER room. In the room there was Daniel, the uncle had not yet come out. He asked the nurse to find an empty room that was far from Meyrin's room.

"Good, Sir."

Ken approached the gurney where Daniel was staring at the ceiling of the room. The gaze of the man who had entered his 50s was like thinking of something.

"Uncle," call Ken.

"Are you two not calm? This is a Venetian hospital not Arlington's" Daniel said without looking at Ken.

Ken who understood immediately just lowered his head. He apologizes to Daniel for his ruckus with William in front of the ER room. No matter how innocent he is, William is to blame.

For a moment the atmosphere became silent because Daniel did not say anything. The man did not discuss further the commotion created by William and Ken.

"Ken," called Daniel finally breaking the silence between them.

"Yes, Uncle?"

"Is Uncle wrong to entrust everything to Meyrin? What's wrong with Uncle having high hopes and entrusting Arlington to Meyrin?" murmured Daniel looked at Ken's eyes so bitterly.

"What's really going on, Uncle?" Instead of answering, Ken asked back.

"...."

Daniel was silent. He didn't answer Ken's question. However, his mind returned to the air when Meyrin's critical condition was.

"Uncle?" Ken looked at Daniel. His uncle was like thinking of something so heavy.

"Ken, Uncle just saw Meyrin drop. No. gabe. Meyrin not only dropped but her heart had stopped beating for a few minutes. It was as if Meyrin was tired of all this. It's as if Meyrin doesn't want to see the Uncle who made her the way she is today" Daniel said.

"When from childhood she was raised and educated by Indah to be a woman who was plain, graceful and gentle. But, after being with Uncle he had to turn 180° because of the black world. He had to accept the consequences of his rejection of Rizzo. Di—"

"Uncle, don't say that. It's not Uncle's fault. Meyrin herself decided to jump in with us. If Meyrin heard her father say this, she would definitely be sad. Please don't be like this, Uncle. You have to trust Meyrin. She's a strong girl and Ken is sure Meyrin is happy with her life right now."

Ken is trying to win the heart of Daniel Arlington. Even though he himself was unsure of his last words. It was not once that he had heard Meyrin complain with his current world. This time, however, let Ken lie for Daniel's sake.

Suddenly a nurse came and said Daniel's room was ready. Ken nodded his head and followed a few nurses pushing Daniel's gurney. They'll take Daniel to his room for a post-blood transfusion break. In fact, his blood was drawn several bags for Meyrin's purposes.

The nurse told Daniel to take a break to get his stamina back, then left the hospital room. Ken is also bidding to return to Meyrin's room, which has Daniel's approval.

In Meyrin's room, William forbids Lea from approaching. Even the man had Lea keep her distance from Meyrin two meters away. While he was sitting on a chair next to the mattress where his new best friend was lying.

There are two infusion hoses attached with different color pockets. One pocket is clear and the other is red which is definitely blood. In addition, a nasogastric tube (NGT) hose is attached to Meyrin's nose. This serves to supply food and drink to Meyrin which is not possible to swallow because of his condition.

William immediately wiped away the tears that had soaked both of his cheeks. Unfortunately, the tears seemed reluctant to stop. Today she cried too much for the two women she loved.

The man hated his own feelings, but as Nikolai said, he could not stop the feeling of love. William was just an ordinary man who when love was present, he himself could not forbid it.

William bowed, kissing Meyrin's hand many times. The loss came back to haunt him. He did not want to feel the loss of his loved ones anymore. Simply losing his wife and both his parents left the man devastated.

Rama and Leah who saw it chose to get out of the room. He wanted to give William a chance to be alone with Meyrin, his legal wife.

"Why out?" kenny asked as he opened the door. Rama and Lea were shocked.

"We want to make room for Mr. William, sir." Leah answered.

"Lea, go back to the mansion and take care of everything. If Alex has come, tell him to deliver the clothes for me, Uncle Daniel and Meyrin," Ken orders.

"Good, Sir."

Lea who received the decree immediately understood, especially in the affairs of everything. It meant Lea who would take action on the subordinates of the white axe. Lea bowed respectfully and left the corridor where her young miss was in the care.

A bodyguard came over to Lea and bowed respectfully. When Ken arrives at the hospital, the man tells Aite and the Joker to return to the mansion to help King and Queen. He also asked to send a car to the hospital.

"We return to Mr. Aite's mansion," Lea ordered the bodyguard.

"Good, Miss."

After that the car drove in the middle of the city of Venice whose road was still tenuous. Lea stared at the clock on her phone screen, at 5:00am local time. Lea rested her back and head on the back of the car seat. He began to massage his forehead which felt throbbing.

Arriving at the courtyard of the mansion, Lea immediately got out of the car. Sure enough, Alex has arrived at the mansion. The man had just finished his bath, visible from his still wet hair.

Lea immediately conveys Ken's message to Alex to prepare his master's shirt. While she herself prepared the needs of her young miss and Daniel after asking Josh, her husband.

After all was done, Lea walked out of her young lady's room. Aite came to greet Lea and asked her the news of her little boss. Lea conveyed in outline the state of Meyrin and asked Aite to escort her to the basement.

Aite led Lea towards the basement next to the mansion. The basement door was made of iron covered by synthetic grass until it was disguised. The door was just like the ground overgrown by natural grass.

Seeing the arrival of his little boss' right hand, all gave their respects. The higher-ups approached and asked the Boss for the latest news.

"Before Miss wakes up, make sure you get the mastermind information behind all this. Do whatever it takes to get the identity of the real leader. If you want to visit the hospital, wait for my information because Mr. Plowden is there."
