CHAPTER 32 THE TRAGEDY OF LA FENICE

The mayor's personal assistant greeted William and Meyrin cordially. They shake hands and are a little stale. William occasionally steals the kiss of Meyrin's head while recounting the harmony of his family. Of course, all is the story when together with Laras.

"Alright, then let's come with me. The mayor's waiting in his room." The assistant walked in front being a guide.

Several bodyguards prepared by the Mayor and Meyrin's personal bodyguards joined in guarding the safety of the guests of honor. Leah and Rama walk behind the master and his nona.

The assistant opened the door of a room that looked so luxurious. He invited his master's two honored guests to enter.

William and Meyrin entered and a man around the head of five greeted them warmly. The three of them engaged in a stale conversation. While the assistants and some bodyguards were standing in the corner of the room.

Until the Mayor touched on the issue of cooperation with Arlington Group. The topic began to get serious, Meyrin looked at Lea and the woman approached her young miss. A map of Lea was given to Meyrin.

"Please, you can learn first the contract that Lord Arlington submitted," Meyrin handed over the map Lea brought earlier.

"Mrs Plowden, don't be too shy. I'll check it out later. Can we watch the show, now?" ask the Mayor.

"Of course" replied William.

They moved and headed to a special room. Meyrin rounded her eyes and closed her mouth in amazement. William was amazed by the interior of the La Fenice Opera House. As usual William helped Meyrin pull up the chair so that the woman could sit comfortably.

Meyrin stared ahead, on stage it was being started a theater that told the story of Cinderella. The woman indulged her net to enjoy the beautiful design of this building. Meyrin raised her head, staring at the ceiling of the auditorium decorated with large crystal lamps with beautiful carvings.

The audience seats are so beautifully arranged, which is full of decorations. Even gold leaf ornaments were installed throughout the auditorium. The interior and design were so artistic that it really spoiled the audience, including Meyrin and William.

They were currently on the second floor, above the entrance of the building. A place that was specifically prepared by the Mayor to be Plowden's young couple. William and Meyrin with their positions can now clearly see the shows that are being played. Even the two of them could also enjoy the design of this beautiful and magnificent building.

As all eyes were fixed on the stage, Meyrin saw the silhouette of a suspicious person. He who has been trained as a mafia leader, began to be vigilant. He gave Lea the code.

Lea who was aware of the code, immediately approached. Not yet at the side of her young miss, the falling stage lights made the audience cry out hysterically. Not to mention the sound of gunshots coming out of nowhere.

Lea immediately stood in front of Meyrin, as did Rama who positioned himself beside William. Several bodyguards formed a defensive wall for the three important people as well as his personal assistants.

His eyes stared intently around the room, until the net saw someone pointing a gun at the Mayor. Meyrin rounded her eyes as the man started pulling the trigger.

Meyrin who had not had time to tell Lea, encouraged the burly woman. He ran towards the Mayor while looking at a bullet floating in the air. When Meyrin was about to keep the Mayor away from the bullet target, her foot stomped on the skirt until it stumbled. That led Meyrin to push for the number one man in Venice.

Bruk!

"Fsa!" rutuk Meyrin who fell down.

The sound of a loud thud makes everyone there focused on one object. Meyrin was on the floor. Meyrin's push against the Mayor could be stopped by a bodyguard.

"Miss!"

"Meiin!"

"Mrs!"

Shouted Leah, William and Rama together. William quickly ran towards Meyrin and helped her. Meyrin's forehead frowned slightly when she felt her ankle sprained.

"Miss! Your arm ...," Lea hung up her sentence.

"Find anyone who's trying to harm Mrs Plowden!" shouted the Mayor's personal assistant.

"Call the ambulance, immediately!" william shouted to Meyrin's bodyguard.

Leah calmed down and started doing first aid on her young miss's arm. He tore off his inner shirt to bandage the wound on Meyrin's arm. At least, bleeding is the main thing that must be stopped while waiting for the medical team to come.

"What exactly happened?" ask the assistant mayor.

"Yes Mrs Plowden, why are you pushing me?" ask the Mayor of Venice.

Meyrin's gaze began to blur, but she tried to stay sober as she replied, "So, to the right of the stage someone pointed a gun at the Mayor. I'd like you to dodge, it turns out my legs are tripping. That ...," Meyrin blinked her eyes as she lost focus.

"Master, I found a bullet here" the Mayor's bodyguard said, showing a bullet.

Meyrin could no longer focus on what was happening. His ears were buzzing, his head was heavy, his right arm was hot and throbbing.

"Meiin!" william's shout made the people refocus on Mrs Plowden.

William patted Meyrin on the cheek to stay sober. He made his thigh as a pillow Meyrin lay on. Meyrin tries to focus on one voice, William, who keeps calling her name.

Not long after the medical team arrived. They started doing their job and took Meyrin to the hospital. William got into the ambulance. Lea told all of Aite's bodyguards to stand guard at the hospital. The safety of William and Meyrin is a top priority at the moment.

While Lea and Rama investigate the case of the shooting that occurred with the team from the Mayor. The mayor himself has now returned to his residence with super tight guard.

William pacing in front of the operating room door. Every now and then he stared at the operating room's lights, hoping they would soon turn green. A few guards a little distance away stood guard there as Lea ordered.

Suddenly a doctor came out of the operating room. William immediately approached the doctor and asked Meyrin.

"You take it easy, sir. Your wife is fine, just a bullet scratch and I have to stitch her up. We just have to wait for Mrs Plowden to come to her senses" explained the doctor, who left William immediately.

Before long, Meyrin who was lying weakly on top of the gurney came out of the operating room. Two nurses pushed the gurney into the prepared VVIP room.

The safe stopped right in front of William. William approached Meyrin, looking at the woman who had stolen a bit of his attention. He held Meyrin's cold hand and kissed her.

William nodded his head and the two nurses pushed Meyrin's gurney. He followed from behind. For some reason, his heart ached when he saw Meyrin get hurt. William himself did not know what the cause was, even sometimes his heart beat fast.

"Maybe I should check my heart out to a heart specialist, maybe I'll be in the hospital." William ingrained.

Maybe someone knows the name of the disease suffered by William?
