Part 112 Hope

They arrived at the KBRI in Rome, located in Piazza San Marco. Not far from San Polo. Because of his work, Vin has many connections from various circles. From mobsters, street vendors, to government officials. Faizal. One of the communications staff. Vin and Faizal are old friends since they were still sitting on the bench of SMU.

Vin contacted Faizal as soon as he arrived in front of the KBRI. Before long Faizal came out. Long time does not meet make the two mince words a little, asking for news and busyness of each. Abi just kept quiet, staring at them off guard. Seeing his friend getting bored, Vin immediately talked about the subject they wanted to ask.

"Can you find out all the information about this guy? If you can," point Vin at the photo they found earlier.

Faizal looked at him for a while, he touched his chin which indeed grew a thin beard there. "I don't think he's a stranger. I want to hang on first," said Faizal who seemed to bring a fresh wind to Abi. "Yuk, just come in. Eh this jerk is your friend how long you want to be here?" faizal pointed to Abhimanyu.

"You don't know why?"

"Have the KBRI reported yet? Later if there is anything, right, easy to take care of it. You see the faces are like they're going to be looking for this storm people," Faizal murmured, walking inside, followed by Vin and Abi. The two men behind him only looked at each other, Vin held back a laugh while Abi glared back. "Why is my face?!" muttered Abi who responded with Vin's right index finger placed in front of his lips. A sign, "just stay quiet."

They were taken into a room with several computers around it. Faizal greeted one of his friends in Spanish, perhaps as a pleasant explanation for the whereabouts of two strangers he had brought with him just now. Now Faizal's fingers began typing, copying the photos he had just obtained. Just waiting for about 5 minutes, information immediately appeared.

"Meet!" squeak Faizal with sparkling eyes," Pantesan he's no stranger. Apparently Alan Cha!" he said who he was talking to.

"Alan Cha, who?" ask Abhimanyu.

"He's gangster leader Wah Ching. One of the gangsters in San Paz. Wah Ching used to be the same Asia Boyz had clashed between gangs. Rames. To the extent that San Paz was closed because of the many casualties due to the feud of the two camps."

"What problem?"

"Says Alan Cha violated the cooperation they had agreed to. And Austin, Asia Boyz's leader, didn't accept it, he planned to kill all the gangsters, even his family. Now in San Paz, Wah Ching is no more, where they look like haunted buildings. I don't know if they're still there."

"...."

"If this girl? Her name is Ellea, she never reported her status, Zal?"

"Moment ...." Faizal went back to looking for Ellea. Many times he typed and searched through photos, but never found anything about his identity in the KBRI. "Nothing. Her name. You sure her name is Ellea?"

"That's sure."

"And you're sure he's here?"

'Yes, Zal. I met him a while ago. That's why we want to find him, because he's weird. It just suddenly disappeared."

"Maybe he never came here to report."

"That makes more sense anyway."

_________

Finding Ellea in Venice is like looking for a needle in a haystack. They have to stall one by one and always find new facts. How did Ellea get to know Alan Cha, the mob kingpin of Wah Ching. They even look so close. Like a grandfather to his grandson. But Abi is very sure that Grandpa Ellea is dead.

Abi's phone is ringing. Shanum's name is on the screen. Abi immediately shifted and placed the flat object in his ear.

"Yes." Yeah."

"...."

"Yet. Messy, Sha. I don't know where Ellea is anymore and what's wrong."

"...."

"Yesterday night, I saw him again in the pursuit of people, they went into San Paz, well I was with Vin nyari there, but did not meet. Keep us to the address you gave me yesterday. He doesn't exist either."

"...."

"Gue is suspicious, there's an indication Ellea has a gangster connection here, Sha. We just don't know what the problem is. Huh! Dizziness me."

"...."

"Yes. Okay." Okay."

Phone turned off. "Shanon?"

Abi nodded, and his attention returned to the flat object he still held. Now the foreign number contacted him. Strange number. As a result he showed Vin, "That number here. Who's your number to?"

Abi tries to remember what he forgot with this foreign phone number. "Don't ... KOV!" screeched Abi with sparkling eyes.

"KOVS? What the hell?" ask Vin who doesn't understand. Abi did not budge and immediately accepted the call.

"Yes? Ronal?"

"...."

"Really's?! Okay." Okay." Abi looks very excited and pulls Vin's hand towards the car. "What the hell? where to?" ask Vin who is upset.

"Go to the coffee shop."

"Where's coffee shop?" ask Vin and get in his car and sit behind the wheel.

"KOVS. King of the fork!"

"Ron?! Where is she?" abi asked looking around. Vin who followed was a little left behind. He bowed his body like a man in prayer.

"She's gone. You are late. She left a message." Ronal held out a piece of paper. Hurry up Abi opened it. There is an address written. "Thanks, Ron." Oh." Ronal did not reply just waving her hands up.

They went back to looking for the address Ronal gave them. A place a little far from the city. Vin asks a lot about Abi's meeting with Ronal.

"Can we exchange mobile numbers?"

"Yes, I showed you a picture of Ellea. He said Ellea was there a lot, and I'd like you to tell me if Ellea came."

"...."

Abi stared at the handwriting. A glimpse of Ellea's shadow goes into Abi's memory. When they were close, they often went to the library. Read each other books or novels. And it will end with each other giving questions and answers through the writing they write on each paper is different. "Wait!"

"Why?" ask Vin without cutting down or stopping his car.

"It's not Ellea's handwriting!" abi said, sure.

"I mean you? Ronal lied to us?"

"Hm, I don't know. But this isn't Ellea's handwriting. I'm sure of it."

"Oh, fuck! Continue how? do we go there or go back for the lesson?"

Abi looked at Vin. "How good do you think it is, huh?"

Vin was silent, staring at the surrounding streets. He then drove the car to the side of the road. Feeling that this place was safe, he looked at his friend. "Gue's sure, this Ronal has the intention of sending us there. Whether there's Ellea or not, this definitely has something to do with Ellea. If we go there, we also have to be ready to meet people like Diego's man yesterday. I'm sure this isn't a trivial matter."

"..."

"Let's face it together. Let's find Ellea bye, whatever the risk is." Vin turned the car back on and continued the delayed journey. His fiery eyes made Abi's spirit flared again. Well, he realized he shouldn't be pessimistic. Out there, they don't know where Ellea is, whether she's okay or otherwise. And the goal of coming all the way here, is to find Ellea.

An old building was in front of them. From the structure of the building and some statues outside, they could guess that this was a church. Only, this church seemed desolate. Like it was long abandoned. No longer used for worship. They come down and come in. The big door was pushed slowly. When it opens, there is only an altar for prayer and a row of chairs that are still intact. In the middle was someone praying, wearing a white head covering. Vin and Abi look at each other, they stay alert. Not necessarily Ellea. And it could be a trap. Because Ellea ... is not Christian.

Vin hints at Abi to enter first. While he pulled out his Glock Meyer 22 revolver. Abi glared, while Vin instead raised his eyebrows as if asking. "Why?"

"All?" call Abi loudly while stepping inside. The woman who was praying there, flinched. Both of his hands he joined together in front of his chest, with his head lowered. He looks very fervent in praying. Vin kept watching around. Be wary if anyone attacks them as suddenly as before. They realize that they're dealing with a mafia kingpin who's quite respected here. Whatever the case may be, it's definitely not a trivial matter.

Abi's steps are getting closer to the girl. "All?" Again, Abi called out in a questioning tone. Well, he doubts that the girl who now wears a white canal with a brucate motif on the top is not the Ellea he was looking for. The girl lowered her hands, she turned to the two men who had been harassing her worship ever since.

As he opened his headgear, that face was visible. Abhimanyu's knee suddenly drowned. His body was eager to fall to the floor he was on. His blood seemed to be rustling, with an irregular beating heart rhythm. "Ellea?!" calling Abi, he immediately rushed to hug the woman in front of him. "Geez, Ell, where have you been? From yesterday I've been looking for you!"

Abi's body was precisely pushed back, even ... Plaque! a slap right floated down Abhimanyu's right cheek. "God! Don't be reckless, yeah. Play hugging. You want to be insolent, huh?!" nagging the woman by continuing to slap annoyed. Abi and Vin are both confused, seeing Ellea does not recognize them.

"Ell, you want to fuck me, okay? Not funny, Ell," Abhimanyu said with pushy eyes.

"All? Sorry you guys got the wrong guy! I'm not the Ell you're referring to." He left two men still confused. Abi immediately gathered again the power that had been lost earlier, because he was surprised at what he found now. Then he went back to chasing the girl, and continued to follow her.

"Hey! You're deaf or deliberately upsetting me, huh?" the woman shouted with the hands of Abi who was constantly reaching for her.

"OKAY. Sorry, sorry, but sorry, Mba who, huh?" now Vin is taking over with a more logical question. For him to be urged however this woman does not admit that she is Ellea. They are very similar. The three of them were silent. Waiting for the answer of the girl in front of him who seemed hesitant to tell her information.

"I ... Allea."

"Well?!" pekik Vin and Abi together.

________

A fairly neat and well-kept garden, sitting on a wooden chair that is not so long, makes Abi forced to stand in front of two people who are now sitting in front of him, Vin and Allea. One that immediately crossed Abi's mind when he heard the name Allea. They are both twin brothers. But that was only a temporary guess. Because Ellea herself never told me she had a twin sister. He is the only son of Adrian and Ruth, who is a member of a lawyer and his mother who works as a staff at the Indonesian embassy in San Francisco. However, they eventually returned to Indonesia for some unknown reason Ellea. Moreover, they rarely meet the princess only wayangnya, because too busy working. Ellea, who also has a life of her own, eventually away from her parents, until the news that her mother is sick, makes her have to gather with her parents again.

"I don't remember anything. Really."

"What?! Can't remember? But did you just say your name was Allea?" sergeant Vin, feeling lied to.

"Yes, because of this necklace. Here is the name Allea," he points to a pendant with the engraving of the name Allea behind it. There is a photo of him there, with a black and white background, similar to an old photo. The photo also looks old. Because his face is now different from the one in the photo.

"Geez!" abhimanyu screams in frustration. She pulled her own hair.

"Where do you live?"

"Ca' Dorin apartments."

"Wait, your memory's been lost since when?"

"Since I've been here. I don't know why I got to Venice. All my passports, my identity cards are gone. I just remember that I was in the hospital at the time. Maybe because of the accident, I lost my memory. The doctor told me I had been in the hospital for a week, but I lost my memory a week later. They call me Allea. And until now I've used that name."

Vin moved, pulling Abhimanyu away, whispering while glancing at the girl who was still sitting on the old brown chair. "Bi, but it's also possible that she's Ellea, isn't she losing her memory?!" The sentence just now somehow made Abi also hope for the same thing. Maybe Ellea had an accident and lost her memory. But the necklace ....

"Yes already. We'll get him home first. Who knows if there's another lead."

every hope becomes your own strength. Whether it will be according to your wishes or according to the reality and destiny of God, we just need hope itself. At least that's why we're breathing right now.
