30. Extricate oneself

Rea was surprised, but he decided to shut up. He did not want to give any new problems to his group. But the shadow still stands there. Rea was hoping that he would just take a wrong look. But when he turned his face away from the place, and looked back at the well, apparently the shadow was still there. Staring at Rea sharply. Until it managed to make the fur stand up.

"Re! Rea!" call Dana.

"Eh, why?" asked Rea who finally woke up from the daydream.

"You why? Come on, eat first," take Dana.

"Oh yes." Rea tried to look good. He soon joined the others. But for the last time, Rea stared at the well which was clearly visible from where they were making fire. However, nothing is found there at the moment.

Rea who felt it was strange, then swept a glance around, but he still did not find the figure he was looking for. Until finally Rea assumed that he had seen wrong. Well, he saw it wrong. That's what Rea applied so that his mind does not mix with negative thoughts. It was all done so that his heart would also not be overwhelmed with fear after seeing the black-winged figure that was seen just a moment ago.

They finally had lunch with the last menu. While eating, they kept thinking about how much longer they would be in that place. With the food supply already depleted, of course their problems increased.

"Where is this? Do we get up the tent again here or continue on our way?" hana asked while enjoying her last instant noodles.

"How do you think?" dana asked everyone's opinion.

"Gue's confused. I'm afraid we've come a long way, uh we're back here. It's the same as wasting energy and time" said Hani.

"Yes, but if we stay here, we're wasting our time. Moreover, we are running out of food. Where else do we try to eat, if we don't keep going? While there are only leaves here. Animal animals are not here. It's really a strange forest" Blendoz stared around.

"But the truth is, this forest is weird. I really feel that if we deliberately turned around, let's not get out of here" added Diah.

There is no more talk of the desolation of the forest. They all started to get busy eating and talking about other things that might be more fun to discuss. Rea had not thought too much about the appearance of the figure who was above the well. Although he seemed agitated several times and continued to pay attention to the place.

They had been resting for an hour. The food is now gone. They started packing up the trash they had brought. Put it in a big plastic bag, and they'll take it out of the woods. Disposing of rubbish is not allowed. Moreover, their team has participated in nature lovers activities. So it feels that all forms of hygiene will be maintained, wherever and whenever the condition.

"Yep, we continue the journey again," Dana said as she stared at them all in turn.

"Which way are we going, Dan? Just like that or some other direction?" ask Apri.

Dana took a deep breath before answering. He looked around. Look at the path they've been on since yesterday. That direction is the direction that corresponds to the map that Dana was carrying. But it felt like the map in his hand did not show the right direction. Because they have tried to go in the same direction many times, but in fact they still can not find a way out.

Dana grabs the map which is the only clue to be able to go to the last post. While in his left hand also holds the compass which is indeed one of the tools to be able to know their current direction.

Dana compares the compass to the map and then looks around. This made her friends curious about what Dana was doing. Some of them approached to ask further.

"Where? Any ideas?" ask Hana curiously. He looked at Dana and the map in his hand alternately.

"From yesterday we always went in the same direction, right?"

"Yes. Why emang?" ask Hana enthusiastically.

"And all we got is spinning around here again, right?"

"Yes. Continues. Whaan? Don't cut the pieces when you say why, Dan? I'm curious to know!" nagel Hana.

"Yes now, maybe we should change direction. Let's try another direction. What do you think?" dana asked while looking at her friend.

"But what is this map? What if we change direction, even more stray? Our goal is here?" ask Diah while pointing at the point that is circled with a red marker.

"Yes, Dan. Look, the topography around it seems difficult. The path we just walked is easy. Will it be a problem later?" ask Leni to add.

"Fund Ideas make sense. Why not try another route. But preferably, before we start the journey, we pray first, so that our path is facilitated and can go home soon," said Rea.

"Totally! Yuk, we pray first, after this we continue the journey again," said Blendoz.

They all form a circle, then bow their heads as a form of prayer to the creator. After that they prepare to continue the journey with a new spirit and hope.

The clock shows at 2 p.m. They rushed to another direction that was different from the path they had been through. Dana folded the map she had been looking at since yesterday to find a way. Dana put the object in the bag, he was sure that without the map they would find another way out.

They again walked in an elongated line. Dana as team leader is in first place. Behind him is Rea, interspersed again with Hana, behind Hana there is Apri, behind Apri there is Fauzan, behind Ozan there is Leni, behind Leni behind there is Hani, behind, then it goes with Diah, behind Diah there is Ita, then Blendoz. Apparently true, the path they were passing by now was not the same as the path they had passed before.

The terrain is quite difficult with the lush conditions of wild plants that fill the place. It was as if the place had never been passed by humans. But so far their journey has been quite smooth and there are no significant obstacles. Although occasionally they have to stop to open the road so that they can pass freely. But it all just lasted a little while, then went back to walking again.

Without feeling they have been walking for 2 hours. The day began to go up in the evening, but there was a change they could feel that stated that they were no longer lost as before. The atmosphere around is now visible. The trees around were already tenuous so they could see the sky above. A pretty meaningful change after they got lost for almost 2 days.

But suddenly they stopped walking when they saw that there were so many humans in front of them with conditions far from their expectations.

"Hey, are we here?' hana asked while glued to see the activity in front of her.

There is a life with a lot of people who are on the move like humans in general. Only what distinguished them was their facial expressions that looked flat with no expression. They are conducting trading activities commonly referred to as markets.

Fauzan looks happy, he hendam approached, but was detained by Dana. "Why?" tanyanya Ozan's. "We can get help to get home, right?" added again.

"Wait a minute, Zan. I don't feel good. Don't you find it strange to see them?" dana asked while still looking at everyone in front of them. 

"What the hell is it?" asked Ozan who was a little clueless.

"Yes, Dana really. It's freaky. There is a market in the middle of the forest?!" hana Tukas.

"God! Have you ever heard of the devil market? Don't don't ... It's ...." The words of Hani are not continued. But they could all guess the meaning of Hani's words.

They were aware that the place was more properly referred to as the devil market. They continued to accelerate their steps to get through the place as soon as possible. Especially if it will be night soon. They were also unlikely to set up tents near the demon market.

Apri who started to panic soon cried. His steps began to be irregular with his typical whimpering cry.  He also hit a friend in front of him.

until finally Apri fell because he tripped over the tree roots that poked up. Suddenly all eyes were on them. All the figures who were in the market circle were staring at Dana's entourage sharply.

"Gaes, this is not true" muttered Hana.

"Where is this?" ita whinek.

"The only one ... We have to run!" dana's Order. They all ran as fast as they could, but of course kept each other safe. Apri is in the arms of Blendoz and continues to be guarded by him. Everyone ran as fast as they could. Panic? Sure oes. But they prefer to continue to keep their pace in order to leave the place immediately. But suddenly Ita was pulled by something. He fell down and seemed to be away from the group.

"ITAAA!" yell at them at the same time.

Ita can't be saved, now it's Diah, Leni, Apri and Rea's turn. Everyone fell to the ground, as if being pulled by something. They were all scattered with screams for help. Men can only be dumb, not knowing what to do. Eventually there was an explosion around them. Everyone was staring around. The billowing smoke made them cough cough. Behind the smoke was a shadow, more precisely some dark shadow that was now approaching them.
