Part 23 Stalker

"Yuk, Bil, first." Brother Dawn just left the Taekwondo practice room. This time Kak Rayi and Kak Bintang skipped training, because they got an assignment to fill one of the events at another school, regarding taekwondo extracurricular activities at our school. I have to go home by myself today. The training room was not completely quiet, there were still some people chatting in the dressing room or on the floor of our training room.

After picking up the bag that was stored in the locker, I immediately bid farewell to all of them. The ringing of messages from the flat object in my hand made my steps stop. Some messages started coming in when I turned on my phone.

[Darling, sorry, I can't take you home. You're okay, right?]

[Home home, huh? Take care, yes. Let me know when I get home]

Both messages made my smile come out, of course it came from Kak Rayi. As busy as he is now, always took the time to give news or ask the news. Then I went back to scrolling down the screen, and there was another message there. After reading the message, I did not reply and instead ran small towards the school yard.

A man was already standing beside the car door while looking around, a puff of cigarette smoke clearly coming out from his nose and lips. "Hm, start smoking again Papa," I muttered and ran towards him.

"Got long?" The question was able to make the smile that originally appeared, turn into pursed lips.

"Ih, Papah told you that today's training." I started sulking spoiled, Papa laughed and hugged me. "Just like that. Yes you know." It's the first time in a long time that Papa hasn't picked me up again. Because usually I go home with Brother Rayi or with the three men, Brother Star, Brother Rayi, and Brother Roger. Papa looked happy when I started having a lot of friends. Moreover, some time ago I invited classmates to study groups at home.

We started to enter the car at the same time, but suddenly a shadow passed over us. This time I did not feel it alone, because it was Papa who first looked up at the sky. "What was that, huh?" ask Papa, either addressed to me or himself.

Of course this keeps a million questions in my mind. It's not the first time I've felt something around me, or something flying at such a large size. Not a bird or something. Because the shadow that had just passed and was clearly printed on top of the car was something quite big. We both saw him together, so this wasn't just a hallucination of one of us. Papa swept his gaze up and then around my school. "Bil, get in the car!" We both left the school yard and went home.

"Bil, you get ready, follow Papa with Om Gio, we want to go to the house of Om Dewa," explained Papa who was just standing behind the door of my room.

"What do you want, Pah?"

"Om God is dead."

I was shocked by the news just now. The god died? Even I have not seen and met God for quite a long time, and the news just now was quite shocking to me. Papa also looked very panicked and quickly I immediately packed up.

Om the Gods live quite far away from the Capital. He lives on the island of Borneo with his wife. It's just that from the story of Papa, Om Dewa more often travel to explore nature.

We were at the airport. Waiting for some close friends of Papa who will also leave for Kalimantan, where Om Dewa lives. That means I have to skip school for a few days.

"Well, you've grown up apparently, Nabila?" ask Aunt Jean. He then hugged me tightly and unceasingly looked at me in amazement.

The plane took us to Borneo, not as a holiday but vice versa. There was not even a smile on the men's faces. All seemed to be still in an atmosphere of grief, with endless discussions. I don't even know what made Om God die. Aunt Jean sat next to me, busy with the laptop on her lap. She looks beautiful even though at a fairly young age.

"August ...."

"Hm? Why, honey?"

"Eum, Om the god died why? Last I heard, he often went around Indonesia. A wreck?" manya curious. No longer able to stem the question in the heart. Aunt Jean was silent, she then closed the laptop in front of her and now fixed her sitting position slightly tilted towards me.

"Tante also does not know what to call it, Bil," he said, hesitating to discuss it with me.

"So?"

"He fell off a cliff, and was only found the next day, but strangely his body was blue. Like a blood loss." I frowned at Aunt Jean's explanation. "Auntie is actually not allowed to discuss it with you, but aunt sure you know that our lives are not like normal people in general. Strange things like this aren't new to us, are they?" Aunt Jean looked at me deeply, I just nodded slowly while trying to figure out which direction this was going.

"Is that a vampire?" I asked, pointing to one type of race that is a hobby of sucking human blood.

"No, Bil. Because according to Rani, there are no bite marks on the neck or other body parts. There was only one small hole point, behind his neck. Aunty sure it's not a vampire, dhampire or a creature we've ever met."

"What kind of aunt? Is there a candidate for what that creature is?"

"That's. We don't know what or who harmed God. You know for yourself, if God is good at rock climbing, and rarely makes mistakes, unless someone bothers him, right?"

"So, aunt."

Silent. We both started to get busy with our thoughts. "Eh, auntie, I don't know if this has anything to do with it or not, but lately I feel like someone's been following me. Even Papa felt it too, when he picked me up earlier."

"following you? Likewhat? Auntie sure you can feel the creature, right?"

"I'm not sure, aunt. He's just flying, and he's big."
