Chapter 100: Unaccept

Pov Devan's.

I hung up the phone immediately when Regan told me that Alden was with a little boy in the hospital. I closed my laptop by handing over all my work to my subordinates. I'm so worried that the little boy Regan means is Kia. It's been unhealthy lately and I'm worried about that. I ran out of the office and got into the car, this time I was driving alone without a driver. On the way, I was very worried about my daughter's condition especially these few days I didn't communicate with her.

If anything happens to Kia. I will never forgive Willa or Alden. I was driving a car through the rain that was starting to fall, in my mind Kia must have happened something I didn't want. I tried to think positively but what was my bad mind power had been shadowing me since.

Arriving at the hospital, I went straight to the room Regan had told me about. I didn't find the trunk counting Alden. I didn't give up and kept looking until I met. It's been 10 minutes that I've been going around in circles looking for her whereabouts and I've decided to ask a nurse about a patient named Askia. The nurse showed me Kia's real room and I went straight there and it turned out that she had been moved to the ICU

I was very sad to hear all that and I went straight there to the room Kia was in. Arriving there, I saw Alden sitting pensively in front of the room even Alden was very surprised by my presence.

He looked at me with a high anger always pushing me to leave from there.

"What's coming here for? Go!"

Of course I don't want me to have to see him.

"What's wrong with Kia?" my many.

"It's none of your business!"

I peeked out of the window, Kia was using some tools I didn't know her name. I was worried a lot and tried to ask once more, but Alden could only shut up and not explain everything to me.

I who had been emotionally hit him instantly, Alden who did not accept also returned my blow. We had a fight in front of Kia's room and some of the sisters broke up with us and threatened that we would be expelled from the hospital if we caused another commotion.

I had a bloody nose, and Alden wiped the corner of his lips that were also bleeding and then I looked at him again, my heart ached so much, if Kia went to the hospital why didn't Winda tell me? I tried to call him and immediately asked him about Kia, but he didn't seem to know either because his response was also very shocked. Winda rushed home to see his daughter while I still stared intently at Alden.

"What the hell do you want? Kia why? What's wrong with her?" ask me one more time.

He again just fell silent while continuing to take a deep breath. I approached her and pulled her collar, she pulled me over and pushed me slowly.

"He fell down the emergency stairs." He suddenly answered. 

"What's? Why can?"

"He's running around there."

I laughed a little, what an absurd reason. Kia's 10 years old and soon to be in junior high school, she's running around? It makes no sense especially in the apartment there is an elevator and it is impossible for Kia to be on the emergency stairs alone. Alden looked at me lazily and kicked me out if I didn't believe him. I'm not leaving until I know what happened to Kia. I asked my assistant for help investigating everything including the CCTV footage in Alden's apartment. I also contacted Sena if her adopted daughter was in the hospital. After that I went to the doctor who handled Kia and confessed that I was a real father who had the right to know what happened to Kia.

The doctor explained everything if Kia had a concussion due to a fairly hard impact. I was so surprised when I heard it. My eyes began to turn red when I heard the doctor's explanation.

I rubbed my face rough. It was indeed my fault for letting him go with them, I should have been able to take good care of KIA and it was likely that it would not happen like this. After getting an explanation from the doctor, I decided to go home for a moment to pick up Sena. On the way home, my tears kept coming out, I called a few people closest to me to tell the real state of the man including my parents who were very surprised to hear all that.

The heavy rain made me drive carefully, at the house Sena was waiting anxiously. He must have been very worried about his adopted daughter as well. My phone keeps vibrating turns out it's Winda.  I asked inwardly whether she was really worried about her daughter's state or just imaging it? The woman was indeed a snake and was good at acting. I'll never trust him again.

I kept blaming myself, why didn't I prevent Kia from leaving the house and instead believed in them both because they were her biological parents. Regrets are always at the end, I try to find the best solution for Kia's recovery. If necessary I will take Kia abroad to do the best treatment there.

Arriving at the house I saw Sena pacing on the porch of the house in a state of worry. I immediately stopped my car right in front of my house while Sena seemed to approach me and led me to the terrace. My eyes were already so red, Sena knew of my sadness, she told me to go inside the house and make me a glass of hot chocolate. A few minutes later, the hot chocolate was already in front of me and I immediately drank it little by little. My mind was so messed up that Sena asked me a few times but I didn't respond. Sena patted me on the shoulder and this time the question was very slow as if she knew I was not okay.

"Why, Mom?"

I tried to control my voice as if it was disappearing. I told Kia what really happened if she had a serious concussion. I saw Sena shed her tears, she cried bitterly over what happened to Kia.

"Why did Kia fall? What's going on?" ask Sena.

I shook my head because I did not know the cause of the accident. My assistants are still trying to figure it out and if Alden and Winda are involved in it then I'm not afraid to put him in jail. I'm not kidding, I'm very hurt with him. Is Alden really Kia's real father? Why does his attitude not reflect like that of a real father?

Sena Pov.

Why did this have to happen to Kia? What caused Kia to fall down the stairs? Is this any evil element of them or is it purely from an accident? I just this first time saw Mas Devan so very sad and devastated. His daughter had to have an accident like this. I kept her calm and told her to keep praying for Kia to be given a miracle to heal. Mas Devan kept texting someone, I saw him if he sent a message to the assistant.

Mas Devan's face seemed to become wrathful in just a few seconds after seeing the message. I also saw it turned out that Mas Devan saw a CCTV recording that shows that Kia was chased by a male bule the footage shows that Kia had just come out of the man's room even the man chasing up the stairs but unfortunately inside the emergency stairs there is no CCTV. Mas Devan immediately stood up, he was so very cheap and fast to a place that is the apartment that became the residence of Winda and Alden.

"Where are you going?" my many.

I can only sigh deeply, I want to come but Serafina has no one to guard. Devan told me to stay home because it was raining so hard. Mas Devan stood up, he would get into his car again and I prevented him. It's still raining hard if he doesn't want to wait for a while, but Mas Devan is already upset, he's very curious why the bule man was chasing Kia.

Mas Devan kissed my lips at a glance. He assured her that he would be fine on the way. She still thinks of me, Serafina and the baby in my womb so she wouldn't dare to speed in a car. My prayers are always with you, Mas Devan. You are a very good person and surely God will always repay your kindness as well. May the Lord also shed some light on this case and heal Kia as soon as possible in order to be with us.
